I do not have a team, so after diving into this book I was a little hesitant in finishing it.
But, I am a completionist, so I carried on.
I'm glad I did.
I took some notes and takeaways, and when I do grow a team, this will be a reference guide for growing the future business.
As stated, it made me realize that sole proprietors must take a step back and view their individual roles as independent roles to really get the true picture of their business.
A solid listen.

A detailed view on A strategic way to look at businesses. But it's one strategic way (hence the capital A) and obviously the writer is biased towards her own methods (she is not talking about any others in this book).

Again, it's one way to look at businesses with information that make sense and probably have value in consistently acting on them rather than offering any type of new/never heard before insights.

Companies committed to getting to the next level on strategy, this is your next book

This book by Shannon Susko will get you to the next level in strategy development. Her exercises are powerful and the examples, both her own companies and other industry examples are helpful and compelling. Do the exercises to gain clarity on your next 3 year direction and destination.

It was "required reading" as our company implemented the Metronomics organization system (founded by this author, Shannon Susko). It definitely didn't feel like it was necessary reading, and instead, quite repetitive and some visuals were unnecessarily complex and difficult to understand. She used her own company as an example, so it was more credible to have that backing up her concepts.
