The best children's books should resonate with an adult. Chestnut is every child, adult, and every fictitious category in between - Morris, an early example of mindful living.
I like this book because its really positive and could be encouraging to students because it addresses problems that arent usually talked about, such as having no friends.
Chester the squirrel had no friends until he meets Morris the otter. Morris shows Chester that making friends is easy, you just need to know where to look.
I start every New Year reading children's books, not only to remember my own childhood, but mostly because I miss my Granddaughters an love reading out to them.

Another gem - I guess Dutch children must be happy, if they receive books like these since their first infancy! I am enjoying SO MUCH to be able to read them in the Dutch language! I LOVE everything Dutch!!!
I like this story because it talks about how some kids get lonely, and some kids don't have as many friends as some other do. Sometimes that can put a student down, and this book shows how even if you feel lonely, there is always someone that is willing to be your friend.
This book is such a feel good book. I am surprised I wanted to read a children's book despite every thing I have to do. This is perfect for all the gloom around.
