This was a fun sixth instalment in Domino Finn's Black Magic Outlaw series. This UF series is a fun action packed ride with a bunch of humour and a crazy main character who is just likeable enough that he is easy to root for in his adventures.
The story in this one was good. Cisco Suarez might have defeated his long term nemesis Connor Hatch, drug kingpin and djinn, in the last instalment of the series but he is hardly living the quiet life despite the fact that he looted a bunch of the drug money from his nemesis! This book saw Cisco finally try to get his life back on track. He was officially back from the dead and trying to live like a normal person. Well, a normal person trying to evade the tax man due to all his funds being stolen drug money lol! While keeping in contact with both his old family and his new crush Cisco finds a bunch of new trouble. New power players have moved into Miami to fill the void left by Connor Hatch and they indulge in a bit of human trafficking which brings them to Cisco's attention after they snatch a girl from his daughter's school. As if that was not enough to contend with a serial killer is also on the loose in Miami and the FBI think Cisco might be the guy! Cisco had to find the serial killer to clear his own name.
The whole story was pretty entertaining. The duel action story arcs were enjoyable to follow and it was also fun to see how Cisco's personal relationships were developing now that he was trying to settle down a bit. Cisco was still Cisco so it was never long before he talked himself into plenty of trouble!
The best thing this series has going for it is the mix of fun action and hilarious dialogue. I'm not always a fan of action scenes in my stories so it is to Domino Finn's credit that he manages to hold my attention so well in the action scenes in these books. The other big plus for the series is the story is told from the first person perspective of the lead character Cisco Suarez and he has a unique and fun voice.
All in all this was a fun tale in the Black Magic Outlaw series. I'm not sure if this was the final book in the series or not but if more BMO books do appear I'll read them for sure!

What an exciting, action packed, roller coaster of a read. A great story with great characters that kept me turning the pages.

Sitting in a dreary bar, Cisco Suarez was bumped by an apparent drunk – but then his buddy leaned on Cisco’s other shoulder. Both wore bones around their neck, and knowing what they were, Cisco warned them off. They wouldn’t want to mess with him. Fortunately, the Jamaican man recognized him and told his partner to back off. Somehow the dog whistle and skull-and-pentacle belt buckle must have convinced them. But then the first guy decided that maybe he should teach Cisco a lesson and raised his fist – until a shadow wrapped around his arm and held him immobile. When Cisco asked a woman at the bar questions about a missing girl from his daughter’s school and a blood-stained bracelet, people started moving away or evacuated outright.
Those who remained identified themselves as The Obsidian March – vampires – who moved in when the cartel was destroyed. After a brief skirmish, they all stepped back and out the back door when the sirens sounded. Cisco was off to another adventure that only he could fall into!
You do not want to miss this one! It is so good to have Cisco back, and this book doesn’t disappoint! If you have read these books before, you will be delighted to see some old friends return as well. The writing is excellent, the story line pulling you right into the thick of things! I am so excited to get back into these incredible adventures – and if you are new to this author, you will not believe how good these books are! Give it a try – it will only take one to convince you!

I usually apply what I call my “Dresden test” to this kind of book, looking to see how the lead character stacks up against Jim Butler’s Harry Dresden. Well, Cisco Suarez, the star of Domino Finn’s Death March: Black Magic Outlaw, more than satisfied that test. Ho humm, poor Cisco, his day is Unwantingly full of little things like human-trafficking vampires and being wrongly suspected by the FBI about a set of murders he didn’t commit,nevermind that the actual serial killer is not happy with him either. This might not be fun for him but for readers? It’s a fun-riot. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - this book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.

#1. Evan is a chump of the highest order! Did he really think Emily and Cisco wouldn't make a magical baby? Now the news is out and I was happy to see Cisco and Fran have a relationship. Also, I STILL don't trust Emily.
#2. HOA's have a bad rep for a reason. IJS
#3. Cisco and Milena. It took them long enough. And when Milena night Gavin to the anniversary dinner, I almost thru my Kindle! LOL! Y'all have no idea how many times I have hand rested back to throw something and my husband doesn't even look up or raise his voice, he just says: "Don't do that." It's the same way I do the kids.
#4. Yaaay, the Spaniard is back and he's at no one's command!!!
#5. Punchin Simon Feiglstock in the face. .CTFU!!!

I gave these books 5 stars because there was no way to give them 10. This is the best series I've read in ages. Cisco Suarez is my kind of hero. He doesn't back down from impossible odds because if he does the innocents will suffer. And I like him because he's like a Timex watch: he takes a licking, but keeps on ticking. Great stories. I hope Finn writes more.

Finn Delivers Again
Cisco is a fully relatable tough guy with a soft center, an homage to the grizzled gumshoes of a bi-gone era. The city of Miami comes to life in all of its sizzling and sweltering glory as Cisco careens from one crisis to the next. Barely a step behind a diabolical serial killer who is targeting animists and barely one step ahead of a lethal cabal of human trafficking vampires.
This is a great read for any fan of urban fantasy and a worthy installment in the Black Magic Outlaw series.

Cisco is back, and butt deep trying to protect the city. This time, he has enemies in two fronts, the Manifesto Killed and the Obsidian March. One is killing anyone with ties to the occult and the other is kidnapping young kids for their blood!
Full of luck butt action, with a great plot and characters, I couldn't put it down!

Cisco Suarez is back, after a one year absence... and he still kicks arse! There's nothing like a Black Magic Outlaw book to get your blood pumping, and reaffirm that you are alive.
Great escapism from this world. If you have something important to do, or a friend to meet - forget it. You will be far too engrossed with this excellent adventure.
The twists and turns, the action jam-packed into the pages, the entertainment value, and the humour, are second to none. Finn knows his audience very well. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but my nails are bitten to the quick as I honestly thought that Cisco had met his match. The plot is great, and I absolutely loved the way that FINALLY... Ooh, but you'll have to read it for yourself to find that out. You won't regret it. Each piece of work gets better and better. Wonderful.

Worth it as fun read from a developing author
The story started with auspices of a modern fantasy detective hybrid that transitioned into a modern fantasy adventure. The author does a good job pacing the action so the shift is not jarring as it is being read but reviewing the story as a whole mit is slightly offputting. I found the first half somewhat stronger in build up with more potential to develop supporting characters. Since this is part of a series Finn can indulge in more character development. Also kudos to the author in recognizing a diversity in magic wielders among humans. Too many authors miss out on the opportunity to add magicians with different culture in their stories. I hope Domino Finn has explored this in other novels. I recommend the book if you are already following the series or looking for a fun fast read.

Story was entertaining
Entertaining and I like the way Finn writes. But! The audio is not synced with the book at all. I found this very frustrating and interfered with me enjoying the story. Especially since I paid $8 for audio and $5 for the book. Also this series use to be free on kindle. I think Finns success has gone to his head. There are many famous writers that offer their books free on kindle. I don't like that the books were free and now they're not. Also I would read his other books but they do not have audio so I won't be. Its a shame because I really do like the way he writes

Yes! Another darn fine book.
Cisco is one of my favourite UF protagonists. He's a smartass, snarky, frequently gets his butt kicked but always gets back up again (even if he's wobbling). This book is a good entry point for new readers, however I do *highly* recommend reading all the preceding books because they're awesome.
This instalment is the same high quality that I've come to expect from the author; fast paced, great plotting and with excellent characters and dialogue. I absolutely recommend it.

glad to see another one in this series
It's been awhile since I've read one of these, this is book six, they're all good, tried the author's other stuff, they're ok, but these books always have me cracking up and are just better than his other stuff and most of what you come across that's comparable. Really good series like the characters the humor and the storyline is always engaging, look forward to the next one.

Cisco Suarez is awesome!
If you enjoy Harry Dresden and Nate Temple, then you'll love Cisco Suarez! A UF series from "the wrong side of the tracks" as it were. Domino Finn leads you into a world where the only thing that is black-and-white is the print on the newspaper. Characters with heart are tasked with navigating the morally grey areas of the world, and they do it with style!

Oh, how I enjoyed finding a new series!
I read all 6 books over this week. Each one was completely captivating and I couldn't wait to get to the next one. I don't normally like black magic books, but Cisco is not your normal necromancer either!

Great fast read
Finn creates characters that are truly interesting and relatable, the depth is evident and makes you feel the heat and humidity of Miami.

Always enjoyable

Keeps getting better
Generally, by the 3rd or even 2nd book, the story declines. Not with Cisco Suarez as the Black Magic Outlaw. Simply stated, this is an awesome series.
