Curious. Ambitious. Determined.

That's what I used to be. Back in college. Before I got pregnant and married Mike.

Don't get me wrong. I was head-over-heels for Mike. I've always loved him. But I haven't been in love with him for a long time.

I don't know who he is anymore. And I don't think he does either.

All that's left is signing the papers. I'd love if they were here before the cruise. Either way, I'm considering myself a single woman from the moment I step aboard.

Who knows? Maybe I'll meet someone interesting.

Resigned. Angry. Sad.

That's what I was feeling two hours ago. When Cindy signaled the end. When I signed the damn papers.

But now I'm excited, committed, and scared out of my mind as I watch Seattle stretch into the distance.

I completely forgot we booked this cruise two years ago. Some would say that was the beginning of the end. They don't know what they're talking about because I quit trying years ago.

Some also say you don't know what you've got until you lose it. Those people should get a Nobel prize.

But now I know what I've lost and I've got two weeks to win her back. Two weeks where she can't run. Two weeks to prove I've changed. Unless she throws me overboard first.

Second chance at love

This book was very good. It was well-written and had good pacing. It was interesting and I liked the characters. They were true to life and had me hooked from the start. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

When their marriage ends after 32 years will there be any way to find their way back to one another? When Cindy and Mike end up on a cruise together that they had planned a while before their separation they will have to either come to terms with it or fight their way back to each other. I enjoyed this book, it will definitely have you an emotional mess and although Mike got on my nerves towards the end I was rooting for him to get his wife back. They had a lot of issues to work through, will they be able to?

Good premise

This is the first book I've read by this author. I really like marriage second chance stories and liked the premise of this one, but the execution was just okay. I found it disappointing that in the end she just decides to take him back without really having a conversation with him about the things that bother her.
