It's a book meant to be read out loud, as the lyrical nature of the writing comes to life in a way it doesn't when read without speaking.

Good reference/support stuff for parents and for conversation in the back too.

Love the concept, but the execution fell a little flat for me. I thought the clouds and sun with faces were kind of creepy and the idea became a little repetitive too me. Still, a nice gift for families in traditions that do infant baptism and a great way to foster conversations about the gift of baptism.

Good idea, fails a little in the execution. Also annoyed by the masculine language for God. There is a sad lack of the children's Christian books that I want to read to my child.

The drawn pictures are beautiful. It is very easy to understand what it describes.

I heard the author read this book aloud and it was magic. This book will make young children feel very special, in this grand version of how all of creation participates in a new child of God (baptism). Picture book.

Our favorite children's book on this sacrament, this was a gift that has lasted: I recommend it to anyone, especially family members. The book is often in stock at MCCM Bookshop; or check the publisher .

Wangerin is a sharp writer for adults and children alike, but his children's stories are especially beautifully told.

Beautiful pictures, in my opinion, but even at eight years old the girls are not at all interested in reading this book
