It all started with a tickle. Roger Hargreaves’ son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like. In response, Roger drew a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. Mr Tickle, the first of the Mr Men, was born. Mr Tickle was soon joined by Mr Greedy, Mr Happy, Mr Nosey, Mr Sneeze and Mr Bump. The books were an instant hit and Roger went on to create many more Mr Men and Little Miss characters. What Roger really wanted was to make children laugh, which is probably why his own favourite character is Mr Silly.

Like all Mr. Men books, well put together, cheerful story, colourful, and children love them!
This book follows the story of everyone planning for Mr Silly’s birthday.
If you have ever purchased a custom made Mr. Men book, this story closely resembles the same plot following the planning of Mr Silly’s birthday.
Still a nice book and makes for a great birthday present for children!

Little Miss Helpful's mistakes happen to prove useful. and Mr Silly was delighted - he loved every single bit of it.
Sometimes a birthday just has to end up as silly as that.

Very satisfying anniversary tale, and to coincide with the 45th anniversary of the Mr Men, Mr Silly himself is having a birthday!
To make things perhaps neater, it could have been Mr Tickles' birthday (as he was the first Mr Man to be published), but, for this tale, it is totally fitting that it is Mr Silly that gets the limelight.
Things is, see, Mr Birthday is not very well and, one way or another, it is Little Miss Helpful who takes up the role of arranging the birthday shenanigangs. However, as we all know, Little Miss Helpful is anything but (although her intentions are of course honourable) and it all starts to go a bit wrong... or does it?

A lovely little tale that is just right for celebrating this very special anniversary.
