Great title and cover to this book.
It’s picture of live after Revolutionary War.
The men are missing in action. Women have to tend to survive without help.
It’s also about racial hatred and interracial marriage . It’s about happiness, love and sex.
The book have also F/F relationship.
But,yes. It’s freedom to do and believe..

I thought this was an interesting read with sensual imagery and flutters of hopefulness, for even in dark times, life goes on. We must find our happiness and feed our souls, as we can.
