There are numerous planets and different types of aliens in this story. Darius is from one planet where he lives as a smuggler. He takes care of his mother who is dieing from a disease which is curable if you had enough money for the cure and could travel to a place where the rich people live in order to get it.
Lyra is a different alien from another planet who was abandoned as a child when she exhibited a power.
Dariux takes a job with the Syndicate to earn money for his mother. He discovers that he is hauling live people in stasis pods instead of cargo. Lyra is one of those people.
The story was okay, but I had issues with it. First of all it ended at 10%.
Secondly , things didn't get explained well.
Spoilers;
Where did Lyra get her powers? Was powers a normal thing on her planet, but hers were bad? What happened to his mother? He hid her, but since he didn't get the money, is she going to die?

I enjoyed this start to the series. Dariux and Lyra are a couple that really work well together and bring each other strength.
The story opens with Lyra and her very lonely life on her planet. She has no family or friends and tries her best to survive. Dariux has his own struggle. His mother is dying unless he can buy her medical treatment so he gets involved with some dangerous people. When he finds out there are people in the containers on his ship, he has a tough choice to make.
I loved how she stayed so strong no matter what the odds. They fall in love quickly but it feels right. The author really lets you hear the internal struggle Dariux has about what he should do. There are no easy choices for him. I am looking forward to the next book.

I liked this sexy start to a new series about a bad corporation that sounds like it will be a blast. Book 1 is about Dariux and Lyra and gives a quick background about both in the beginning that really makes it easier to relate to them and really hope they can get out of the fix they end up in. Loved the ending. I read it in one sitting as I thought it was well written and was drawn in easily. There were some sexy scenes too as advertised but they were not nasty. Just really liked Dariux and Lyra. Cannot wait to see what happens next.

I hope the MCs return with further adventures, though this has a full standalone story with a solid HFN. A quick, easy read.:-)

A strong start to a fantastic new series, I was completely captured by the adventure Dariux and Lyra find themselves in. I mean, Dariux is totally hot and has some great points that feel very Solo to me, but also a huge heart, so I got on board real quick. The writing is smooth and immersive, and characters/chemistry totally on point. The adventure is great, the syndicate is horrid, but the silver lining is just enough. I can't wait to see what comes next.

I was confused by the size until I noticed the other completed series involved, so Far Hope is there as a full bonus if anyone is unfamiliar with it.
Overall an enjoyable start to a series. I'm curious what they're going to do next and how they're going to stay alive, so the next book should be interesting.

This Is the first book in the series and I enjoyed it it was well written and I was definitely interested in the different characters some very sexy scenes I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Prepare to journey to a world that morality has forgot....where life is a struggle and trust a thing of the past. This story will hold you in its grip from page one and you will be amazed at the struggle to survive much less love! Will keep you guessing from one situation to the next...fun read.

Quick, intriguing story
Dariux and Lyra both know what it's like to struggle though life. When at their lowest, they meet each other and slowly build trust. I found this story to be quite different from others and it kept me on the edge of my seat.
