Kylie likes burgers... and men. Basically, she loves meat, both kinds. She's a real meatgan. (The opposite of a vegan, no veggies for this girl!)
When she meets four sexy fry cooks, she counts herself lucky. But when they find themselves tumbling into darkness, she starts to question her newfound “luck.”
Brought to you by 8 fantastic authors, hot meat is a story that will have you laughing all the way to the nearest burger restaurant.
Expect meat puns, shirtless guys, and maybe even some space travel in this hilarious parody novella.
If Kylie wasn't already there, she'd be knocked flat on her ass from all the laughter.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
What started as a kind of hilarious RH parody was ruined by being too long. The "meat stick" schtick began to wear thin after being beat repeatedly over the head with it for the entire length of this story. And it's saying something when 66 pages is too long!
As a parody though, it was kind of cute and funny. Silly and made no sense whatsoever, but I was still grinning. At least until the heroine's idiocy became grating. Then the fun kind of ceased for me.
I do wonder where the authors (so many of them!) are going with this though...
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
This was such a hilarious book and was so much fun to read! I absolutely love Kylie and her fascination with meat...both types of meat! She is so honest and no filter on her mouth! The guys are all great, even though we do not really get to know them well in this book! Love the crumpy, hunky Nate, him and Dec are my favourites so far!! The only downfall for this book was it was over too quickly and I wanted to know the guys more! Can’t wait to see if there is more of this strange, entertaining feast of meat and laughs that is written by a fantastically talented and wacky bunch of authors 😝😝
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while reading a book as I did while reading Hot Meat. This book was completely different than what I usually read but it was very entertaining. I really enjoyed reading it. So yes I most definitely do recommend it to anyone who’s interested in a great funny meaty story. ;-)
Am not going to say this wasn’t funny, and I am all for humor, but the weirdness, I think, took away from the story line. I understand it was meant to be short, but I couldn’t get a feel on it. That being said I will give any consecutive book a shot just to see if it gets better.
Found it was funny to begin with and was laughing, but then it just got a little old with all the meat double meaning references. Also found it a little lacking when it came to the male characters, needed more chemistry and not so much arrogance and smugness. Also, damn the heroine sure is a bottomless pit. Ugh, hopefully next book will be better. 💜💚
An absolutely hilarious Reverse Harem parody buy eight very talented authors.
This novella had me laughing until I cried, from the Llama murder to the well done meat puns, I can safely say these authors didn't butcher it! Filled with totally random and funny adventures throughout, it'll leave you craving more. A must read for a quick and funny pick-me-up!
This short and hilarious novella is just the break I needed. A just for fun read, it kept me laughing and even left me wanting more. I hope the authors decide to do this again and continue the story.
"Pork me up the ***" Seriously just gobbled this juicy meat stick of a story right up. Could not put it down, it was just so delicious and now I want seconds. So there better be more from where this came from!
This is a hilarious Rh parody filled with innuendo and erm strangeness!
I have to admit it made me laugh and I am glad I read it, you have to wonder what these authors dream about though, some of it was quite odd, but a funny short read
Was expecting a comedy with play on the genre tropes, where the authors show their amazing talent writing, insted it's a trash story with literal junk jokes, and at least 10 of those per page. I think they should study what a parody is before attempting anything similar
Omg i laughed so hard....so over the top but that was the point. If you need a quick break from reality and wanna good laugh, this is the quickie for you.
This book was a lot different than I expected. Firstly let me say I am not a person into comedies in any way. This book was not meant to be taken seriously, its a comical book that is great if you need a few laughs. I have rated it 4 starts based of the contents of the book and not my dislike of comedies. The book itself was easy to follow. With the exception of one small part (reason for the 4 🌟s). It is a very fast paced story that moves around a lot and I'm ok with that. The characters are very well described and easy to tell apart. Over all I say the book was a good read.
Hot meat is a funny parody that’s a fun easy read. Filled with meat puns that had me laughing. Just for fun read, would be interesting if these authors do another one like this.
If you are a connoisseur of all things meat and enjoy clever meat word play then you ought to enjoy this book! It is definitely a fun and quick read. Though I wouldn't recommend reading it while hungry as there are a ton of food references to leave you feeling starving just like our lovely MC. Lots of silly scenarios for your enjoyment. I greatly enjoyed this parody and if you like parodies too you ought to like it!
Oh My..... This was..... very entertaining, a little snarky and loaded with puns. You'll roll your eyes and burst out into howling laughter. You may even pick up some creative new lingo. These authors sure are packing a very meaty tale!
