Zelus, the god of jealousy, has been imprisoned in solid bronze for the last two millennia. A simple kiss can break the spell and free him from the metal—if his lover is willing to believe.
Camden Crowe isn’t a specialist in ancient artifacts, but he does know how to guard them. He spends his days working as a security guard in charge of keeping the bronze statue of Zelus safe. He can’t contain his attraction to the nude god. What will happen when the security geek finds out he’s stronger than he ever believed and can harness the power of the gods?

This was a very sweet Celestial mating with Camden and Zelus, the God, who was encased in bronze. The story was well written and I really liked Camden, although, he kept resisting Zelus, to keep from getting hurt. They were precious once they got together and the ending was nicely done also. I really liked it. =)
There are certain instances when a happy for now would really work better than a happily ever after. Novella’s where characters meet, fall in love, and get that happily ever after happens to be one of those instances. For Cam and Zelus everything happens for them in a matter of hours. Cam is a security guard where the bronze Zelus statue is housed. He has lusted for and essentially fell in love with the statue. The statue won’t be around for much longer though. The museum has sold it. Trapped in bronze as punishment for his jealous ways Zelus is more than eager to get his flesh back so he can get up to all sorts of naughty things with the security guard that tells him everything during his shifts at the museum. Not being able to talk or move for over two thousand years has taken its toll on Zelus. All he needs is a kiss to wake him up so that he may claim his celestial mate. Soft Bronze works well as a stand-alone. The characters from Soft Marble have small roles here but nothing substantial enough to require reading the other. This was an entertaining read I just needed a little more than hours together for the I love you proclamations to feel real. As for a short erotic read this certainly fills that requirement. Cam and Zelus are hot and even hotter for each other.
