“Paranormal powers” refers to the utilization of consciousness in a manner enabling a person to influence a physical system without direct physical interaction, a capacity increasing recognized in the academic and scientific communities as part of the field of human ability. This book contains detailed accounts of explorer M.G. Hawking’s experiences and conversations with true practitioners of paranormal abilities, including first-hand narratives of their demonstrations of psychokinetic and extrasensory powers, and in-depth descriptions of the esoteric knowledge and practices that enable the attainment of such exceptional abilities.Although widely acknowledged in India, Nepal, Tibet and various Himalayan areas of Asia, paranormal abilities have in the Western World been largely disregarded by the general population. However, in the scientific community the perception is very different. For example, the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research program, which operates under the aegis of Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, pursues an agenda of studying the interaction of human consciousness with sensitive physical devices, systems, and processes, and developing complementary theoretical models to enable a better understanding of the role of consciousness in the establishment of physical reality. Results of the Princeton experimental studies, along with many similar research projects both private and governmental, have established paranormal abilities as operating at both the macroscopic level (using large-scale apparatus) and at the atomic level (using computerized random number generators). Although the test subjects in general do not believe that they can actually influence outcomes, and have no real idea of how to focus their consciousness to influence the outcomes, over thousands of experimental runs the results have been far beyond chance expectation, demonstrating that subjects can influence outcomes that deviate significantly from the statistical norm, often by a factor of several billion-to-one. For those familiar with quantum physics, these results come as no surprise. The knowledge and practices presented in this book arise directly from the teachings of profoundly enlightened individuals. If studied with patience and fully integrated into your core belief system, these teachings can lay the foundation necessary to enable you to acquire abilities that most people would say are unbelievable or even impossible. Yet nothing explained in this volume is supernatural or supernormal or beyond the ability of a properly equipped individual. These abilities are not miracles. Quite the contrary. They do not require any capacities that are not inherent in the human species as a whole, if those capacities are properly recognized and developed. As entertaining as it is enlightening, this is an incomparable book for anyone seeking greatly enlarged knowledge and personal power. 2021 Edition, includes an extensive Source and Additional Material Section, e-reader page count 350 (estimated, actual count varies depending on the reading device used). M.G. Hawking is an avid traveler, adventurer, and writer. He relishes exploring remote areas of the globe to discover regions unknown to the Western world, always in search of extraordinary people and experiences. He has found many, especially in the Great Range of the Himalaya, the setting for most of his books. His focus is documenting profound wisdom traditions and revealing the knowledge and power they convey. Hawking is the author of the book series, The Living Part of a Myth, and the new presentation, In The Valley of Supreme Masters, along with the associated companion volumes. When not traveling, he spends his time in Northern California with his wonderful team at Wisdom Masters Press, working on projects related to presenting books of an esoteric and metaphysical nature. Heather Cantrell, M.Litt., contributor and editor for Wisdom Masters Press, is an experienced world traveler. Having been born in Nepal to British parents who were teachers in various parts of Asia, she has extensive experience in the Himalaya. She is an devoted adventurer, trekker, equestrian and animal lover. Amber Chellings, B.Phil., contributor, researcher and coordinator for Wisdom Masters Press, is an avid photographer, outdoor enthusiast, and ardent equestrian. The purpose of Wisdom Masters Press is to reveal the exceedingly rare esoteric knowledge and practices of profoundly enlightened individuals. Years ago, while on an extended trek in the Himalayan Range, Hawking encountered a remote village deep in the vast wilderness of massive ice peaks, a village called Siddhalaya. There he had the privilege of meeting a number of extraordinary men and women—introduced to him as “masters” and “adepts"—possessed of a knowledge and a power virtually unknown in the Western world. Our team's intent is to bring this knowledge to light. We work very hard to produce volumes that are of exceptional value. In these books you will meet these remarkable masters and hear first-hand their expressions and explanations of the fundamental knowledge, essential principals of consciousness, and methods of visualization that manifest as astonishing creative powers. Fragments of their knowledge have at various times through the millennia appeared in esoteric literature, in the more profound Eastern philosophies, and in the occult wisdom traditions of various ages. This is to be expected—the knowledge that conveys true power has an primordial origin, believed to have originally been transported to ancient Egypt from an antediluvian, mid-Atlantic civilization of pre-history, long disappeared from our world. In modern times, splinters of this knowledge have resurfaced in various presentations, although unfortunately absent both the most fundamental elements as well as the most advanced elements of the wisdom system of the supreme masters. As so many people have been disappointed to learn, attaining the ability to directly manifest whatever persons, circumstances and events you desire to experience in your life cannot be truly or fully achieved through simplistic concepts of “positive thinking” or some alleged “secret,” simply because a great deal is missing in those “new age” writings. Therefore, we resolved to work diligently to reveal directly from true masters the principals, illumination, guidance and techniques necessary to create a superlative life. This knowledge can wholly transform your experience of this world in every positive way imaginable. It is, therefore, of great value.
Pros: A few good ideas about mind and the nature of mental powers that probably I hadn't read in any other books.
Cons: Those few ideas are mixed with basically filling material like excerpts from other books and even the table of content from other books. Yes, just a table of contents. Why is that even here? Why do I care about the table of contents from another book?
Characters also come off as one-dimensional entities, clearly some of them are just made up by the author, based on his image of what a "true practitioner" would look like and what they would say. It's almost risible how these masters appear to not utter a single word that isn't preaching about life, about the universe or the state of consciousness. They are in the book to represent a master, so obviously every time a master opens his mouth, he'd be trying to teach you something.
Perhaps the author just wanted to leave these bits out of the book. Little personal anecdotes or events that he thought were not relevant. If that's so, I don't understand why he thought it would be better this way. Those little details might be more interesting than adding excerpts from other books. I felt like I was watching a bad movie where the characters just act so that the plot of the movie can progress. So the movie has to feature an accident, somehow one of the characters decides they want to drive around, even if they haven't been seen driving during the rest of the film. It's kinda like that.
Oh, and the author keeps referring to this egyptian priest "Kalika Khenmetaten" and how Padmasambhava supposedly spoke about her so often, yet I have been unable to find any sources mentioning either Kalika or any commentary from Padmasambhava on this figure. Until further evidence arises, I have to conclude this person never existed and is entirely fictional.
You have introduced me to some great information . I hope you continue your work to introduce as many people as possible to them. I have enjoyed the reading of your life with Sari also. What a women she must be. I will keep reading and spread the word. I am 79 years old, but never too old to learn something new and life changing. Thank you Buddy
