The Galactic Council denied humanity's claim to Earth and gave the planet to the Basilisks, to their queen, Xerka.

In the two years since the Galactic Council's decision the Basilisks had surrounded the Earth in an airtight blockade with thousands of Rattlers and the fleets of half a dozen other races that hated humans. The bombardments from space was relentless. Earth was on fire.

Deep below the settlements in prepared bunkers, the Human Defense Force, commanded by President Emet Ben-Ari, defended the 250,000 humans living there. They had prepared well and kept the enemy at bay with hidden artillery and rockets. Their strategy had worked well but they were getting real low on ammunition.

Rowan Emery and Bay Ben-Ari lead the Exodus Fleet, fifty starships tasked with searching for humans, rescuing them from slavery and death and taking them to Earth. Leona, Ramses and Tom Shepherd were gathering ammunition and spacecraft for the Human Defense Force.

The future of humanity is looking bleak, but the spirit and determination of the survivors brings hope.

We've come to know these characters well over the course of this series. We bleed with them, cry for their tragedy, laugh at their sly humor and love them. We feel them. The storyline continues to amaze and astound me. And this book includes amazing battle sequences. Some of the best combat action I've read in a long time!

I loved this book! No surprise, I've loved the whole series, but the action is ramping up and I'm really looking forward to the next book in this great dystopian science fiction action series! If you haven't read this series yet, you ought to! If you have, then you don't need me telling you how great it is. You already know!

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

This series just keeps getting better, although this particular episode was very sad it was great reading. Staying true to a story line is important and this series does just that. So what are you waiting for, get reading and enjoy this series as much as I have, on to the next book. I don't go into details about what happens in each book because I want the reader to discover that on there own.

Great story continues, getting too close to ending.

Daniel Arenson continues to give us a tale that is so well told, I have to keep reminding myself it is only a work of fiction. Told masterfully, his characters are loved as if they were family. I refuse to read other space war books, but this goes beyond ... it is a wonderfully written story.

The Song of Earth

They won this war. It is time to regroup. Time to go for the jugular. They don't have much time. By the way, page 216 floored me.But in the back of my mind, I thought it might happen😃

Still keeps it interesting

Sometimes a little repetitive with the descriptions of the alien fleets but that's small potatoes. Let's just say I'm looking forward to the next one.

War.

The author Daniel Arenson continues with the series without slowing down not even for a second.
Humans finally made it to the home world Earth only to find it populated, so without a choice they fight and die to try to conquer the aliens which made earth their home.

Beautiful narration by Jeffrey Kafer for each of the characters in this creation.
