Let me set you Straight: When the Gossip...
This was an interesting story. I liked the general premise. And it was the first story I read by this author.
I thought it was rather long. A lot of dialogue and lengthy description. A bit much. The dialogue between Jayla and Dane was more like two teenagers. They seemed too juvenile. Jayla just got on my nerves. Dane seemed too perfect. It seemed unbelievable at times. Jayla seemed way too insecure and uptight. I liked how incredibly patient he was with her. I actually liked Destiny and Vince and Dane’s other friends more than Jayla, but that’s just me. It was too much sappy talk. I did like that they didn’t rush into sex. It could have been shorter. It took me three long weeks to finish it.

Warm and funny, this is a wonderful romance that really delivers!
Dane and Jayla are absolutely terrific together, and their love story was enchanting right from the start. Dane is hot, hot, hot and makes a girl wish he was real. Plenty of heat and even more heart, this is everything we want in a romance book.

Superb writing! The characters were so well developed, I could not only see them but understand their mindset. The romance was tender and heart warming. All interwoven in a beautiful storyline.

A really Great Start!!!
For a first book I was really surprised and happy. There were less typo's than I've seen in so called seasoned writers. The story was kinda long but not unbearable. The characters that were introduced leaves lots of room for new books. Can't wait.... Once again this was a great job

One of those books you won't want to put down
JUST PLAIN GOOD!
Everything about this book was feel good and fun. Even the angst. And I had no problem with that. I think I was in a place where I really needed that type of read. And let's face it, who doesn't need an awesome happily ever after, that really truly is happily ever after? Sweet characters, believable plot line and great writing. I'm looking forward to seeing so much more hopefully from this crew of characters and from the author. I liked it so much, I wrote her a note to let her know she made my day :)

Excellent!!!
OMG!!!these two were great together and made for each other. Dane is so sweet. He knew what he wanted and made sure he got it. Kayla is a little crazy but I loved her crazy. The friends were all supportive. Destiny and Vincent?????

Pleasantly impressed
This is the first book that I've read from this author and let me say I was very pleasantly surprised. It isn't very often that I come across a new author that I enjoy this much. Dane and Jayla story was fun and cute and it's eating well written. Very often with authors that are new to me I am often less than impressed with their editing, story flow or grammatical errors. I didn't notice any in this book. I really enjoyed the main characters interaction as well I especially love it when the supporting characters are so well-written and flushed out that they are a delight when they enter the space of the primary characters. I know this is the first time read for me of this author, I fully intend to read more from her!

Dane and Jayla part 2
First of all amazing book, great chemistry between the main characters and the supporting characters... couldn’t help but fall in love with them all.
Secondly.... I need more. The story was serious, tackling social issues and it was funny and romantic , definitely had me on the good kind of emotional rollercoasters. This book was a definite page turner and I still want to know what happens after the I do’s.
Lastly, the pictures on the website of the guys..👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I quit at 49%
Some people love sappy love stories and may absolutely love this book, but I'm not one of them. I tried to finish this book but I kept falling asleep from the ridiculousness of it all. I have issues with books that go from meeting, to a relationship, to I love you, to thinking about kids and marriage in the first meeting. Jayla complained about everything and Dane sat back and enjoyed that she complained about everything. This book was just too unrealistic for me to like or even finish it.

The felt like I was reading a YA book most of the time due to the dialogue between the characters. It didn’t really pick up for me until the car accident. I felt some characters were not needed. I thought her father’s story was jumbled. I didn’t think it needed Jayla’s siblings in it. They weren’t developed enough. I loved the first kiss and their first sexual experience together. I felt Dane’s love for Jayla believable. It could have been shorter or a novella.

Awesome Book! BRAVA
Thus is my first read by this author and let me tell you, it was fantastic! I laughed so much with a few guffaws. The characters are awesome! Jayla and Dane are great together. Their family and friends makes them awesome. Not to pressure anyone, I look forward to seeing the rest of the crew pairings.

Good story
This is my first time reading this author's work, and it won't be the last. The story is detailed and thorough, with humor, drama, and romance on equal footing. It needed more erotica for my taste, however the amount matched the story. Ill be looking out for more. Great start.

Great Read
Lot of dialogue but that is much better than pages of useless descriptions of clothing and locations. Absolutely loved how they communicated. No unnecessary misunderstandings that lasted months and years. No hidden secrets that came back later to cause angst. Real conversations and a solid relationship. While it was instant love, they accidentally took their time.

Awesome is a tame word for this
From the beginning I was captivated. This book eclipses all the books I have ever read. It is awesome, down to earth and all in it self true. It makes you live in the moment that is seems real. The characters have character. This book is not over the top but homey and comfortable. I never wanted it to end but all good things must.

Amazing love
This was some wonderful writing with honest characters. Jayla is one blessed woman. It was love at first sight and it was he that went for it. It took some convincing of letting go of preconceived notions of love.
I loved the friendships and humor throughout. I won't spoil it. The ending is amazing.

Thank goodness for May Rose Maxwell
I read a lot of books. A lot! Yet, overtime plots become predictable and characters totally unlikable. Not the case with this book. It has it all, great character development , just the right amount of dialogue and a happy ending. I loved it. Can't wait for the next one.

Great Story
Writer made the story entertaining and beautiful. It had romance and sexual chemistry without losing the theme of the story. I would love to read additional stories about their friends, especially Vince and Destiny. Like sex scenes were not over!y gratuitous but relevant to story. Would read more in this series.

I enjoyed reading this book and you will not be disappointed by selecting it.The writing flowed easily and effortless. The characters were well developed,strong and compelling.The book is funny and will keep you involved throughout the whole book. This is a real love story that will leave you hopeful. Straight Awesome!
Although I've read this plot theme many times in other books, I loved this story's prefect mix of romance, humor, and drama with great dialogue from three of my new favorite characters: Jayla, Dane, and Destiny. Enjoyed every word!

Delightful!!!
Me Maxwell you really did it with this book! Came was the perfect hero and Jayla was delightful. I found myself actually laughing out loud quite a few times. Anyone considering this book, don't hesitate to purchase, you won't be disappointed.

Loved it
Loved Jayla and Dane’s story. Dane did move faster than any man in a relationship normally does but that is what love is about; seeing it and going for it no matter what. I can’t wait for the next book to set the record straight

I enjoyed every chapter and all of the characters in this book. I couldn't put it down. I hope to read more from this author and the stories of the other characters. I hope Ms. Maxwell continues to tell their stories, as well as visit with Dane and Jayla.

It was a very interesting read. I was hooked to this book until I finished. The relationship of the two main characters is something that everyone hopes for. This book has a little of everything and a lot of dialogue.

The book’s plot was really good and had so much potential. However, I stopped reading because 1. Way too much dialogue, the characters kept talking and talking nothing important. 2. Jayla kept complaining over everything and it was getting annoying
