Not a guide on prayer, but an interesting compilation of biblical scholars and Christian leaders views/research on prayer from the 1600s to present. All compilations were short which made it easy to break the book into daily readings.
An interesting blend of classic and contemporary views on prayer. Most segments were very inciteful, while a few I didn't get a lot out of. Overall, a good resource on the power and value of prayer.
