As you hop into the fourth and final volume of this series, you are presented with drama, intrigue, and the possibility of a chance at love, within the tight-knit group that the series follows.

Comfrey finds herself in a romantic triangle. She recently established a relationship with Tony, when her ex-fiancee, shows up out of the blue, acting like they are still engaged. She left him and the high society demands behind four years ago. Her parents are devastated that she left home and the business her father owns. But she is more satisfied with her new, down-to-earth lifestyle and is not willing to return to their demands to rejoin the elite society she was born into.

Some of the main characters were woven in from the previous series and allow the reader to not only reconnect, but also have the opportunity to see a more in-depth look at these characters in this series.

Escape into the world of suspense and romance with this clean and wholesome contemporary backdrop, unless a few kisses eliminate this from that category for you. There were lots of issues to overcome, twists and turns, and the family dynamics to iron out. It was captivating and provided a gratifying experience, including spurts of inspiration, hope, and romance.

This first volume in this series is a spin-off from The Carver Ranch series, also written by Heather Tullis. Thankfully, both series are available to Prime members on Amazon through the Kindle Unlimited program. It was clean and wholesome, so that makes me smile! I would recommend the series for sure.

I recommended this series!

First off, isn’t the cover of this one just beautiful?? I love how well it matches, Comfrey, the main character from this book. This series is so great! Each of the books is well-written with great characters and plot and you can read them in any order.

Comfrey is probably my favorite main character from this series. I love the mystery she is. Comfrey isn’t her real name, and she has hidden her past from the people that know her in the best way she knows how. And after seeing just where she does come from, it’s not overly surprising that she left and that she’s hiding it from everyone she knows. I like Comfrey just the way she is. I love the way she cares about people and wants to help them have a better life. I love the way she wants to live as natural of a life as she can. I love the way she fights for the things she cares about. And the way she was able to be honest with herself when she needed to.

Then there’s Nick. Nick was a surprise to me. I liked that he was willing to go out of his comfort zone and go after Comfrey. I didn’t like that it was because her parents wanted him to. But he wouldn’t have gone if he wasn’t still in love with her. I loved the way he was willing to change his whole life for her. So sweet! He also wasn’t willing to roll over and move out of her life without a fight. He was a great character.

I love the plot of this one. It fits together with the other books in the series so well (links below if you need them.) This is such a great series, I’m hoping there are still more books to come!

I purchased a copy of the novel Hello Again (In The Garden Book 1) Apr 27, 2015 by Heather Tullis and this review was given freely.
A second chance at love with a millionaire romance. Easy flowing with wonderful characters, a sweet romance, vivid descriptions and enough family drama to keep things interesting. Struggling Crystal Creek Dental Hygienist Piper meets her first love Reese Stone when she tries to start a city garden in her neighborhood to keep her autistic brother Spencer out of trouble.

I purchased a copy of the novel First Crush (In the Garden Book 2) Mar 22, 2016 by Heather Tullis and this review was given freely.
A second chance at love with your brother's best friend clean romance with family drama and a sinister undertone. The story in book one continues with one of Piper's best friends, 3rd grade school teacher Maddie and her frustration when her brother Jason's best friend officer Ben continues to ignore her. A complex and interesting story containing two romances, the planning of Piper and Reese's wedding, gang activity, the topic of physical abuse, the anxiety that can occur with the uncertainty of loving a police officer, and Ben's surprise fatherhood.

I purchased a copy of the novel Not in the Plans (In The Garden Book 3) Feb 27, 2018 by Heather Tullis and this review was given freely.
The trio of friends complete their status as couples when Adelyn finally recognises and accepts former army serviceman now construction worker Jason's labors of love. This novel combines vivid descriptions, family drama, a little humor and a happy ending with the pitfalls of online dating, the rocky preparations for Piper and Maddie's weddings as well as hinting at a second chance for love romance for Comfrey.

I purchased a copy of the novel Last Chance (In The Garden Book 4) Apr 19, 2018 by Heather Tullis and this review was given freely.
This book covers the same time frame as book 3 but from Comfrey's view. Comfrey aka Channing must decide between local accountant Tony and her attorney ex-fiance Nick who is being blackmailed by Comfrey's parents to bring her back to Boston. A rocky romance, lottery winners, overbearing and self centered parents,

Money can’t buy happiness. Comfrey came from money and high family expectations. She felt like she was suffocating & ran to find a different life that she enjoyed. Now, she’s changed her name, settled into her cottage & is ready to start building her dream home on her 10 acres with her goats & sheep. As she’s trying to start up a relationship, her past comes calling. She hadn’t seen Nick since before she broke their engagement & ran off. What’s he doing here?

Nick loves Channing (Comfrey). He has since they were matched up. He could see her floundering but wasn’t sure what she wanted. He didn’t expect her to take off without talking to him. Now, 4 years later, Nick still misses her. He still works for her family’s cosmetic company & her dad tasks him with bringing her back to Boston & the family. Nick agrees to go, not because he thinks he can make her come back, but to see if the feelings are still there & what she truly wants. Can they find a compromise?

I really enjoyed these two characters. Comfrey thinks she knows Nick & what he wants but he proves she really doesn’t. They both need to compromise in order to find a way for things to work out. Comfrey also realizes she needs to be more mature in her arguments if she expects her parents to take her seriously. This was a good ending to the series.

When Nick is forced by his boss (and ex-fiancee's father) to bring Comfrey back to Boston, he doesn't realize he'll be forced to face his feelings for her again. He soon recognizes that he will never be over her, but will she ever compromise enough to give him another chance? I didn't love Comfrey as much as the other women in the series but I felt like it all fell together nicely in the end. I have to admit that I would love to see a happy ending for Tony. He was such a great guy! Overall I feel that this was a great love story and I actually finished it rather quickly since the story flowed so well from one chapter to the next.

Loved this one! Sad that it will be the last in this series. I had a lot of fun reading this one and I can relate to Comfry in a lot of ways. There is nothing wrong with distancing yourself from people, especially family, when they are dragging you down. When someone doesn’t take the time to understand you and your thoughts they have no place trying to suggest what’s best for you. I’m so glad Comfry was willing to give her and Nick another try and it was nice to see some of the other characters from the earlier books show up here. Can’t wait to see more from this Author

Review.

So sorry this is the last book in this series. I have loved every one! This is Comfrey's story, about her farm and the zoning problems she had. And being torn between Tony and her ex-fiance Nick. And finally standing up to her overbearing parents. I wish there were more stories, like maybe Tony's. Heather was a new author to me, but I'm definitely going to look for more of her books.

Another wonderful book in this cute town

Comfrey and Nick were engaged years ago but she left because she didn't like the rich stuffy lifestyle. She is fun and so down to earth. Nick is a lawyer for her dad who is still in love with her. He tries to get her to come back to Boston. Their adventures are fun. Love the ups and downs in this book. The other characters are also cute. Love this town and would love more of it.

An excellent book. Comfrey and Nick are perfect together. Have to admire a strong woman willing to go after what she wants. Nick is willing to give up his career so that he can have the woman he loves. Such a nice romance

Beautiful

Comfry had come from money but never felt like herself and her father wouldn't listen to her about doing a natural cosmetic line. So she left her fiancee and fled. Now she is happy in Kansas. Nick is asked to go and convince her to come home. But will it work.

Storm Reading

Enjoyed all four books while safely tucked indoors as the wind roared.
Slushy, yes, interesting, yes because the four different stories cover several aspects though the characters stay the same. It all ends happily ever after.

I liked Comfrey from the time I was introduced to her in the first book. Book 2 and 3 shed more light on who Comfrey is. Nick was awesome from the start and only got better. I did think that Comfrey was too hard on him. I had a hard time finding anything to like about her parents. Piper, Maddie, Adilyn and their guys are in this book too. I enjoyed her interactions with them and seeing them from her point of view. It was a great end to a good series.
