Skinwalker Ranch: Facing the Unknown Force that Haunts the Uinta Basin

Rate this book
There are some places where so many seemingly unexplainable things happen that it is really hard to believe that there’s not some kind of explanation to make sense of it all. The Skinwalker ranch is such a place. Unbelievable and still unexplained paranormal activities set the Skinwalker ranch apart. Download FREE with Kindle Unlimited Perhaps no place on Earth has been the focal point for as many strange phenomena as the little corner of Utah known as the Skinwalker Ranch. This nebulous stretch of terrain in the Uinta Basin has hosted numerous sightings of blue orbs, UFOs, wolfmen, Bigfoot and practically every other paranormal bogeyman you could think of. Despite these heady tales of the bizarre, the outside world knew very little about the strange happenings at Skinwalker Ranch until fairly recently. But for the Native Americans of the region, the history of high strangeness goes back at least 1,000 years. Deep in their ancestral memory, frightening tales of the skin-walker roam across their consciousness. The dread is so great, in fact, that many residents of the nearby Ute Indian Reservation still refuse to set foot in the area known as Skinwalker Ranch. For them, the land is hopelessly cursed and to be avoided at all costs. But for the purpose of this book, we are going to cast these ancient words of wisdom to the wayside and delve right into the thick of things. Come along with us as we march headlong right into the uncertain and unsettling world of the unknown—right into Skinwalker Ranch! Nicely compiled and researched

This is a nice, quick read about a very complex paranormal investigation. The Skinwalker Ranch has been a sort of Holy Grail for paranormal researchers for many years. This book provides you with the basics of the phenomenon. Its a very quick read, but it is still thorough and covers most of the really scary incidents that occurred at the ranch. It is a nice addition to your paranormal library. I enjoyed the book very much and I recommend it to others!!!.

Skinwalker Ranch: Facing the Unknown Force that Haunts the Uinta Basin, by Conrad Bauer, is a nonfiction book about a ranch in Utah where ample paranormal activity has been witnessed. The events described, which touch on traditional skinwalkers, UFOs, and portals, are worth looking into, if you're a paranormal buff like me.

As for the writing style, I actually prefer citation markers in the text when I'm learning about a topic. That said, there is a section listing sources at the back of the book. The author worked to evoke a mood, empathy in the reader, when describing each strange occurrence, and I would've preferred direct quotes for that.

While stylistically, the writing wasn't my favorite, I enjoyed the topic and I observed zero typos. As far as I can tell, this book was well researched.

Fascinating but, frustrating!

This was a short introduction to the, supposedly, paranormal events centred on a remote farm in rural America. Perhaps the author only wanted to whet his reader's appetite, for what is a fascinating story. I would have preferred a more, in-depth, academic study of the phenomenon. However, for what it was, this account was both fascinating and entertaining.

"The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" على قناة History، حيث يتم توثيق تحقيقات علمية مستمرة في الموقع.

Sensational without Sensationalism

Conrad Bauer, in his book Skinwalker Ranch: Facing the Unknown Force That Haunts the Unita Basin, takes a measured look with a researcher’s eye at the bizarre experiences reported at Skin Walker Ranch. Bauer’s approach makes for a great read. The telling of Skinwalker Ranch events and the counter arguments to the anomalies presented are refreshing. The tone gives skeptics and believers something to chew on when reading and assessing the voracity in witnesses’ accounts of Skinwalker’s paranormal encounters. The information is well researched. I’ve read books, watched documentaries, and TV shows on the subject. This book ranks among the best.

Fun, Enjoyable and Mystifying

While I'm unconvinced the experiences detailed may have actually happened, I'm glad the author gave us several well-explained theories behind the story and was honest enough to include the possibility of it being a hoax. Nicely written, covers just enough groundwork to keep it interesting in a concise manner.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but trying to cover the phenomenon of Skinwalker Ranch in just 86 pages is like trying to squeeze an elephant down a drain pipe. Could be considered as a useful introduction to further reading, though.

Fair and unbiased analysis

This is a level headed account of events taking place at the ranch in Utah and fairly considers all possible explanations. I will definitely consider more of the authors books.

Short but sweet

Very easy to read book about an absolutely incredible subject. Highly recommend to anyone interested in Skin walker Ranch. I don't understand why this doesn't get more press coverage.

The book was way too short to handle such a fascinating thing like the ranch. There's a whole lot of strange things going on there, some of them rather dangerous and it would take a much longer, much more complete book to do them justice. I was rather disappointed.

Footnotes

Extremely short and basically just an overview. It works if you just want a quick run down of what's happened at the ranch.

Quick read

There are too many people, who have seen and experienced seeing unnatural phenomenon, for it to be false. This has happened over decades. I believe it is real.
