Overview: Frederick Kassis has spent forty years practicing medicine in rural areas. Is rural medicine very different from the practices in large cities and metropolises? Let's see what this small town doctor thinks.

Dislikes: The only problem I had with this book is that some of the medical terms, and Dr. Kassis has a way of explaining things so that people can understand, can make for some dry reading.

Likes: Dr. Kassis is a fan of discussing the patient's history with them. I have to agree that if you just listen you learn a lot. He also shows a great deal of compassion for those who he has helped.

It was an interesting mental picture to see how Dr. Kassis got from his clinic to the hospital in the winter.

Conclusion: This is a good book to see how rural doctors have to handle the challenges that the medical profession will throw at you. Enjoy the read.
