I find the writer's ideas interesting and am keen on trying out her visualization exercises. What I find particularly intriguing and what I wish the writer expounded on more is how she integrates her intuitive practise with her religious beliefs, since she mentions coming from a Baptist upbringing and showers the book with various Christian/religious references. I would've loved to read her definition of "Christ consciousness" as well. I'm not sure her beliefs fit traditional Christian / Catholic doctrine (she asserts that God is "energy", and not a person), and I'm not mad at that, but at the same time I've deduced that she goes to church? So I'm curious as to how she makes her belief system work.
Her visualization exercises are quite involved so I've had to read through the book first before attempting all the exercises. The writer has admitted within the book that she prefers to use a lot of imagination but she's also mentioned that intention is enough.
I got some good insight from this book, and I am confident I will return to It as a reference. I follow Spirit of my own understanding, and am willing to learn from others, without following other's paths and beliefs exactly if they don't match my own Knowing. I think I may share more beliefs with this author than I was able to be sure about. Putting spiritual concepts and explanations into mere human words is a daunting task, and near impossible. I read slowly in some places and still had trouble understanding what the author was trying to impart. Other concepts I simply disagreed with. It seems the author has found a spiritual path that works for her and I'm happy for her. I have my path as well. I read the book with a perspective/belief to "take what I need and leave the rest." Perhaps someday I will revisit and take, and leave, even more. The journey grows...the journey continues. Blessings to all.
I’ve been reading (listening) to this book for over a year. I purchased the audiobook instead of text which I would highly recommend. Her meditation exercises help me tremendously. Hearing them and closing my eyes allows me to get the full affect. This isn’t a book you read and then tuck away. This book is a guide on feeling yourself daily. So many times we are so unaware of what we are feeling & why. These meditations work so well at taking back your own energy and feeling alignment.
I am giving this 4 stars because I do think that if you share beliefs with this author, you will find the information to be valuable. It is well-written. I didn't read the back properly, and did not realize this was as monotheistic in nature as it is. So that's entirely on me. So while I don't hold the same beliefs and the book didn't necessarily do much for me, I rated the book based on info and style (since it is my own fault that I chose a more Christian-leaning book).
