I love the of diverse level of knowledge , experiences and the way how the author portrayed all the facts. In the form of graphs , pictures and histogram these elements makes this book unique and practical. Am really very impressed with the quotes , punches and taglines in the end of each chapter infact the title of each chapter is very motivating itself. Such a practical guide it's , to make you understand about the toxic persons around you. This will also help you learn about how you should connect with the people and the way to present yourself according to the occasion. "Being simple is most complex thing."
Language is very simple and practical and the most important things is each chapter has a graph or image which is enough to understand about that specific chapter.
FAVOURITE QUOTES FROM THE BOOK " Be confident in yourself." " Change is the important aspect of life."
In my personal opinion this is one of my best self help books i have read this year. Now am looking forward to read more and more from the author of this book.
It has taken a long time to review this copy, due to two reasons... one I have been relocating from one city to another and the other one is the book is a self-help book, which does not allow you to skip any bit of the chapter. The concept of the book is similar to any self-help book, with the main objective of shaping an individual. There are quotes from famous personalities such as Nelson Mandela, which has been quoted in between the chapters suiting the theme of the upcoming chapter. These quotes amidst the chapters help in motivating the readers to read through the pages. There are examples which has been picked up from the daily life situations such as scenario at work or at home. These real-life examples help in better understanding of the message highlighted in the chapters. The book has been divided into 4 sections, which deals with different concepts of life. The book is one of the best self-help books which I have read so far from the year 2018. The author has explained the life lessons in simple, lame man language. The book would be loved by new book readers and even corporate employees who don't find much time for their own self. The author has developed the book in such a way that it aims to help in distressing a person and succeed in life.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author did a great job in keeping the content short yet impactful. The author combed through decades of his professional life to share us few nuggets of wisdom. The ideas presented in the book are relevant to all professionals be it a young one, who is trying to make it in the corporate world or a CEO, who pretty much has seen everything a company has to offer.
The book is divided in 4 parts. The first part is concentrated mainly on ‘’YOU’’ concentrating on how we can develop ourselves. Second and third part concentrates majorly on career, company and other professional aspects of life. The last part again concentrates more on personal life.
‘Not to your boss, not to your spouse, Not to your team but you are answerable to the man in the mirror ’’ is one of my favourite quotes in the book. There are number of such maxims in the book that makes you think hard and makes a case for self-introspection. For me, Some of the main takeaways are Listening more, building trust, thinking beyond short term( such as ratings, promotions etc..) and diligently utilising outside office hours for building skills.
All in all, it was one of the best practical reads I’ve ever read and I highly recommend it.
In this book ‘Uncork Yourself Not Bottles’ Author details his approach to effectively reaching goals by practising some important and useful methods. These practical methods will inspire you to approach your goals in a new way and speed up your success. Throughout the book, author emphasizes the need to visit our self-created mental gyms regularly and also highlights importance of talking to the man in the mirror as this is the most helpful method. This book will help you in your personal and professional growth. The content is practical and the interesting methods shared in this book can be easily applied. Some of the quotes by famous people are shared in this book and the selection of quotes is great. Here are my seven- favourite takeaways from this book~ ✍️ Author not only discusses the importance of making to-do list but he also highlights the importance of following not to-do list. ✍️He advices readers how ability to say no is very important. Doing so will eliminate tasks that don’t add any value to your work. ✍️We should learn to say no to short term gains and should focus on long-run impacts. ✍️It was interesting to read and know how we are a product of average of 5 people we move around with. And this made me think about the 5 people around me :) ✍️I agree with author when he says that personal meetings are remembered and how important it is to carry your business cards and sending thank you note after every meeting ✍️Small gestures with positivity are 1000 word speech. ✍️This book is not only useful for all professional managers but for the boss too. It teaches you how to be real boss. Author also focuses on the importance of customers in a company. I found bookcover and title apt. The writing style of author is impressive. I completely enjoyed reading this book and I am sure this will help all readers to step up to next level of professional & personal life! Do give it a read..
Starting my year with positivity by reading "Uncork yourself and not bottles" by Pradeep Chhabra. This book basically is a self-help book that will obviously give some inputs in your personal and professional growth. We all maintain our body by going in gyms daily. As per Pradeep Chhabra, mental gyms are always available 24×7 and uncorking yourself will lead to mental peace and happiness. The book emphasis mostly on the Do's and Dont's in both personal and professional life so as to be the best version of who we are. Small quotes and graphics have been inserted to make the book more readable and to gear up the inspiration. The book has been divided in 4 phases where in the first is about YOU, the second is about Your career and your company the third is about Your boss and surroundings in corporate world and lastly its about taking a break from your routine. The book has been written in a simple manner, as the blurb already says no theory, no Jargons, no long arguments in favour or against, just crisp, racy and straight to the point. Examples on point and real life blunders have been illustrated so as to avoid the same mistakes done earlier. As the Author himself says "Shake yourself like a champagne bottle and let the bubbly ooze out with full force. Cheers"
"Excellent book for young and budding professional irrespective of their domain to learn how to effectively navigate the corporate shark tank ".
The author has distilled his lifelong experiences in the book. How to rediscover and feed your passion, how to build your own brand and how to convert the same into alternate income stream and profession. The author has proven through various decisions ( Switching from PSU executive to Executive in Private corporate world to writing, speaking, coaching and consulting world while rediscovering over a period of time ) in his own life and vividly reflected in the book in various form that we are the driver of our own life and we can drive ourself to wherever we dream to through our commitment to man in the mirror, uncorking ourself on regular basis, investing time in self and various support system before we invest money and last but not the least, loving ourself and adopt growth mindset .

Great Content! The writer does share some really good insights from his own career and despite being a self help book, makes it a delightfully pleasant read. Must read for people starting out their careers.
PS: There are tons of self help related clickbait material available online these days. Was a little apprehensive about this one too, But it turned out to be a fabulous read. Kudos to the writer.
Catchy title upfront and loads of practiced solutions for manager dilemma inside. I recall Pradeep was in complete agreement when mental gym I practiced with newly formed northern region team. Readers would get benefited with effective tools which are uncommon yet effective. In wholesome, uncorking is made jargon free and gelling to typical work-life. Worth more than it's price.
This is the Katana ! Fine and sharp as Japanese samurai sword. A smooth cut in management literature. Bold with bulleted lessons. Read it and rejoice it. Thank you Author for opening up your mind. This is the fastest way of learning life lessons.
read the book which describes a simple way of living and not through management jargon ……… often deeply moving with magnificent sense of office or home or interplay of both places … this is book of enduring magic like the writer himself …
I have read the book and found it very helpful. Most of the management books in the market are full of complicated jargons which make them difficult to understand and implement. This book however is like a breathe of fresh air. Written in a simple and easy to understand language with practical concepts loaded with real life examples. Must read for everyone working in corporate sector.
Some books can really change your point of view towards any negativity. Because Author Pradeep Chhabra has done a wonderful job to prove this substance for any Corporate person. He has implied to us how this Corporate field has changed the funds and agenda of working process. He wanted to say that we have to come out from the shell to balance pace with this drastic change. As if uncork yourself and start attending mental gym, Ted Talks or Prep Talks as well. If I tell you about the cover of this book, then I would say it was a fabulous picture which is totally appropriate to the title of this book. The Author has given instances of some popular faces of India like MS Dhoni, Sam Manekshaw and their courage to take the right decision in their life, examples of some CEO’s and their conviction of taking chances in life. And the main reason to love this book is the language and not so lengthy book like other self help books. Short and simple and to the point. You will get fundas on how to beat depression, dealing with Corporate pangs, productivity, how to interact with the boss and key of happiness. Overall, I liked the book. Thanks Vinfluencer for sending me this book to read and review. Ratings : 4/5
