All Xias wanted to do was find a safe place for him and his cubs. With his alpha chasing after him, intent on taking one of his cubs and killing the others, racing through a blizzard in the middle of the night seemed like a good idea. He had no idea when he took shelter in a cave during a blizzard that he had found more than a place to rest. He'd found the one man determined to protect him and his cubs.
Zhuang wasn't on the run exactly, but avoiding his father's demand that he start his own clan sent him into the mountains where he couldn't be reached. When he takes shelter in a cave during a snow storm, he finds his mate and a whole lot more. He also discovers that protecting his mate means changing his entire way of life.
But even going to the shifter council won't keep them safe because the alpha who is after Xias is determined to have him, even if he has to kill everyone standing in his way. Zhuang's only hope in saving his new family is in becoming the alpha his father always wanted him to be.
About Me I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.
I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

4.5 Stars ~ LOVED IT! Pretty sure the author isn’t going to be able to resist making this a series..... there are far too many wonderful secondary characters, i.e. Tao, Zian, etc. that need to find their own mates. Not to mention there’s got to be more omegas suffering somewhere just like Xias was when Zhuang found him.
A great beginning to what I hope will be a series. I would have loved it if this story was longer with more interaction between Zhuang and the cubs - I think that might have been the cutest thing ever.
This cute yet exciting story is set in a world that seems to consist entirely of shifters. There is a shifter council supposed to uphold the law, but at least one clan exists that does not follow it. It’s the one where Omega Xias is born, raised, and terrorized into giving the autocratic alpha cubs. It’s when the alpha decides he only wants the male cub that Xias decides to run, no matter what the consequences. This is his story, and it’s as exciting, suspenseful, and cute as the blurb makes it sound.
Rating: 3 stars I enjoyed this story by Stormy Glenn, but it was pretty much like many of her other stories. I think my biggest problem with the story was the lack of world building. You as the reader are plopped down in the middle of ongoing drama and there is no sense of where any of this is taking place. It literally could be taking place anywhere. Still, I enjoyed it and finished it in one sitting. I wouldn't be opposed to reading future books if the author decides to make it a series. There are definitely other characters that would good candidates for their own stories.
Short, light, sweet and fluffy. It was just what I was looking for today.
Normally I would not have wanted to pay the price I did for this short of a book but a friend recommended it and it really was what I was looking for. I will admit I was nervous about gambling on it being good.
That's my norm with Stormy. This was cute and OMG look at the cute leopards on the cover. I mean really, who can resist them? I thought it was incredibly unique to have everyone have Asian names and have it be somewhat feline shifter of the Asian variety. That was clever. Xias was so cute and quite fierce for his size and omega-ness. There were several secondary characters that begged their own story (and where is it Stormy?) and it was all wrapped up quite cutely in less than 200 pages.
The issues I have are all the same with these books (and Siren in particular as a publisher). They are not lendable. They are always of the slightly longer than novella length, and they tend to be really superficial. Definition of fluff. Enjoyable fluff - but I don't get attached.
This original story blog story was expanded into a short story with shifters, mates, drama, villains, family, friends and a shifter council. Everything you need to keep the story moving to it's happy ending. Xias is on the run from his alpha to protect his cubs when Zhuang finds him. No surprise that they are mates. When Zhuang finds out the lies Xias has been told about his rights as an Omega and that the evil Alpha is chasing Xias he knows he is in for a fight. The race is then on to get to the Council Headquarters to protect Xias.
A must read for fans of Stormy Glenn's shifter books.
After reading this I'm surprised its not a series..
While I found the character names weird, the story was fairly good. I liked it... but more background info on shifters, especially as these guys are big cats (at least 2 different kinds) would have been nice.
Big Snow Cats and their Sweet Cubs plus a Psychotic Alpha
As one of my favorite authors I expected to enjoy this story. But I actually received more than anticipated. The book blurb really told a lot about the storyline. What the blurb didn't convey were the behaviors, emotions, and psychosis that were prevalent. Since Snow Leopards habitat is located in Central and South Asia, in particular the more mountainous terrains. With this information in mind it comes as no surprise that the Snow Leopards in this story had names which were Asiastic in origin. As did the Tigers.
As I listen to most of my books I had to actually look at the names as they were being pronounced by the narrator, especially since some were similar sounding, but only until I could make out the distinctiveness amongst the various characters.
The title of this book was so apropos. Bruises, broken bones, and worse are not the marks of a true clan Alpha. A sociopathic tyrant who is narcissistic & believed everything revolved around him. That his clan was there to do whatever he commanded or suffer cruel consequences. This Outrageous Alpha's cubs were his property and the Omegas he demanded from their parents as teens to bear his "male" offspring had no say in the matter. Terror, misery, and ignorance abound in Snow Leopard's clan on purpose. It was how the Meglomaniac Alpha kept a tight reign of control over everyone.
When an Omega ran away with his three cubs, it was not about himself. He was concerned about the Unstable Alpha's plans for his babies. The Alpha planned to take the male cub and kill the two females. The Omega was determined not to let that happen even if he had to fight through a terrible snowstorm over a mountainous region. Anything to save his babies, including distracting a large Alpha Tiger with the only thing he had to offer.
Learning to Trust and Believe in an entirely new way of life was so foreign to the Snow Leopard Omega he soon discovered others had just as hard a time believing how inhumane, conniving, and relentless his former Alpha was.
This was a sensual tale. Even when sex is used as a commodity a bond can form. This book was very violent - the cruelties suffered by the Snow Leopard Alpha's clan members, the threats to his own cubs, the never-ending pursuit that led to bloody clashes & death.
Fear caused the Leopard Omega to run, to fight with all his might for his cubs, to be afraid for his true mate. To feel hysterical that his concerns weren't being taken seriously. The three little babies were so young & vulnerable, making others fight tooth & nail/claw for them against their Sire.
This book was a great example of an Alpha stepping up to cherish & protect not only his mate, but three helpless cubs who couldn't control who their father was, luckily for these babies the Tiger Alpha considered them even his own. They were a package deal along with their gorgeous Snow Leopard Omega.
I honest believe that his is one of those computer generated books people sell jsut to make money. The plot is a watered down version of every alpha/omega story, the characters are cardboard cut outs and they keep repeating plot points. For instance Xias has to be told in the in cave when he first meets Zheung, in the CAT while their escaping, in the hotel, and at shifter HQ that his kids won't be taken from him. And it's not like an "oh he wasn't taught so he doesn't know better thing." It's like Glenn didn't know what else to write about so he just kept rehashing the same stuff over and over.
This is a classic Stormy Glenn shifter book, good Alphas, bad Alphas, a feisty Omega, cute cubs the book is pure escapism, I enjoy read books for that reason.
New author for me and I am impressed. Loved the book first time I read it and more so the second time. Looking for more great reads. Enjoyed the fast paced excitement.
