Timothy Pearsall (also known as Tim Pea) was born in England and grew up in the industrial West Midlands known as 'the black country'. As a young man he moved to London where he began to write fiction as a hobby. The hobby was largely shelved for several years when he married and had children. He now lives in Norwich, England, and works in local government. Now that his children are grown up and he is widowed, he is able to spend more time writing, he has updated and renamed his Domina Mortis/Evelina books and released Raven as the first in a dark paranormal series.

He describes Raven as a "dirty and Stabby" supernatural soap heroine.

He describes himself from the Desiderata poem as an off-the-peg person 'going placidly amid the noise and haste'.

After reading Raven 1, I couldn't wait to read the continuation of the story in Raven 2. As expected, Pearsall didn't disappoint me. Though the story wasn't as fast paced as book 1, it gives more in-depth details into each person's characters.
Raven 2 gives us a more deeper insight into the tender side of Raven. Her motherliness is seen in the way she worries and constantly keeps thinking about Cairo. The trouble she is willing to undergo to save Cairo shows that Raven is not always a cold hearted murderer, but also a mother who is just sceptical about expressing her love.
Next, we get to know more about Cairo-She has inherited her mother's pleasure in killing someone. However, being only seventeen years old and inexperienced , she doesn't like this new feeling of being happy when someone dies. She sees ghosts and is troubled by them. Cairo is confused and troubled by the new feelings and changes in her life.
I was particularly amazed by Cairo as she learnt to adapt and survive in the open world alone without any help, this is particularly impressive as she was literally locked up in a house for her whole life and had just stepped outside. The way she coped with her father's death, her mother's disappearance and also managed to survive on her own safely in a new country was just amazing and great.
In Africa, we see Susan's transformation from a happy and hardworking, normal woman to a drunk, whorish and depressed zombie. Boss Bellini takes over her mind and controls her monstrously. It is extremely disheartening and pitiful to read.
Richard meanwhile, sets out to rescue Susan with his two new friends. He faces his own set of survival challenges on his way.

In Raven 2,we've read only the first layer of the many problems hiding beneath. With so many unsolved challenges and problems in book 2, I'm pretty sure a lot of questions will be answered and much more problems and challenges would arise in book 3.
I feel Cairo is developing into a new and unexpected character.

Pearsall has got the tricks up in his cards perfectly, he has mastered the art of giving out a lot of information and yet leaves us knowing only a very little. He sure knows how to keep his readers on the edge of their seats.
I can't wait to read the third installment in this series. I feel that it is going to be filled with more mysteries and surprises.

I like how this book is more of the development of the characters.

In this book, the author exposing the tender side of Raven being a mother who is missing her daughter, Cairo beside portraying her as the cold blooded killer in book 1.

Cairo, being all adventurous after being kept at home all her life being alive and the self discovery she is went through. I cried for her when the bonding time with her newfound birth father didn't last long.

Susan being possessive with the demonic Bellini and she spiralled downward being a drunk alcoholic whore. On the bright side, Bellini while possessing Susan realized that only he can torture Susan so he made Susan stop drinking and put more meat on her bones so that she can think straight with her money. I like the unlikely friendship formed between the witch and Susan.

Richard, Susan's husband is also journeying with his 2 new friends. Im kinda enraged how he's kinda getting dumber.

There are also new characters formed in this book as the new journey will inevitably bring new people. I'm amazed how easily I can remember their names.

I commend the author for the multiple POVs narration and he's switching them effortlessly in sharing their thoughts. I feel like in this book the author is giving more answers which bring more questions.

This book is for mature readers only not for the faint hearted. Trigger warnings will be gores, violence, attempted sex assault, profanities, and PTSD. Make sure the prospective readers keep their mental health in check before venturing into this book.

Thinking you are a die hard fans of horror and thriller? And you're into astral projection? Then this book is definitely for you.

I can't wait to read book 3. 🤩🤩🤩

I wasn’t disappointed with the development of little Cairo – who is certainly my favourite character. Watching her grow from this timid little ghostly figure creeping through hidden passageways in the mansion, to being a grownup out on her own in the world was a huge development. I liked that she kept her slightly comedic personality, charm and curiosity. No matter how hard I try I can’t quite figure her out! Regardless, she has a soft spot in my heart and I’m intrigued where Book 3 will take us. I’m also hoping that the relationship between Cairo and Raven will develop a little more in Book 3. Whilst there was still moments of Raven being Raven, it was nice to see another side of her – a mothering, caring side – which for me, was refreshing to see.

I couldn’t help but notice some similarities in characters between Mr Underhill and Benard for Cairo, and Franco and Tsuba for Raven. These characters seemed to play the role of protector. Their actions often spoke much louder than words, demonstrating their utter devotion to care for and protect their love. I do wish that both Franco and Tsuba had use communion, as opposed to swords at the end of the Book 1, but hey, protect they must!

As for the rest of the characters, I’m intrigued by Coca. Sometimes I feel safe with him, sometimes I don’t. He’s a little unpredictable. Richard is a devoted wreck, but somehow survived thus far – he’s rather resilient to say the least. Bellini is just ****ed up. Just-Dan, what an oddball. Anya, she’s a good’n. And Trapani, I just hope Raven takes care of him. Oh and how could I forget ol’ Toni.. he’s a good boy. Also. If I could slap Susan across the face, I would... multiple times over. Sheeesh did that woman irritate me.

…on to Book 3!

After reading book 1, I was more than excited to get my hands on book 2. In book 2 we see another side to Raven, a tender side (if you may). Going into depth about her we are shown that this character isn't always this heartless woman but indeed has a goodness to her.

- unlike the first installment of Raven, book 2 isn't as highly paced yet equally compelling
- we meet Ravens daughter (Cairo) who promises to be just as interesting and intriguing character as her mother (if not better)
- the author has a way of keeping the reader engaged and I must confess that I enjoyed book 2 much more than I did book 1

...left satisfied yet with slightly a few unanswered questions I'm more than happy to move onto book 3
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review, thank you to the author

Raven is still the powerful feminine figure, and her daughter is to follow.
Susan is getting worse and Richard is getting lost.
A tale of travel, pain, and suffering that "feels so good" all surrounding Raven's existence, it makes me wonder what will happen if she dies?
I loved Raven 2, it takes you easily from one place to another while still liking the image of Raven.

I like how the writer divides the chapters into small scenes, it helped a lot while stopping in the middle for a small break, then coming back to the story without feeling lost.
But I guess I still need to know, how will it all end?

Thanks to the author and Book Tasters for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a brilliant follow up to Raven 1. Raven is an amazing heroine and her daughter looks to be one too. The second book provides the opportunity to do some deeper development into the characters we met in book 1. The story is slower paced than the first book, but the characters drive the story forward. The chapters are short and this alongside the writing gives readers just enough information to keep you intrigued until the very end. With a lot of questions unanswered, you have to read book 3. A must read.

Absolutely loved! After finishing part one I couldn't wait to get into the second book. It was actually better than the first one! I don't want to give anything away but the second book definitely won me over and I'm hoping for more! The first book only got 4 stars but I'd have given this book 10 stars if I could! DEFINITELY worth reading!!

I enjoyed the 2nd book, even more than the first. The story run faster, although i finished it with the same idea: i must read the next one.
I found facinating how among the characters, cant be rightly define as good or bad. Like all have some good and bad running in their veins at the same time.

Raven 1 ended with excitement as all the characters were going to do their own things.

Raven 2 started off fine but got darker really fast.
I was angry at Susan during the first part but this part just made me pity her.

Richard is still dumb. Braver but dumb nonetheless.

Raven (character) was doing her "thing" all over the world which I enjoyed.

What I enjoyed the most was Cairo's little adventures.
She has become one of my favourite characters.

What disappointed me was Tsuba. It could have been better.

Overall, This part was way better than the first part with new concepts and characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

(Edit : Bellini is a sicko)
