Jessa’s life has never been her own. Her memories. Her pain.
She’s tired of being a pawn for the gods to use at their disposal. Free will doesn’t exist when it comes to her life. How far will Apollo and Artemis push her before she takes it all into her own hands?
Sophomore books are usually a very rocky and very difficult to be as good as the first; but as I predicted it was even better than the original!!
The story picks up where the first book ends so it is a very easy, seamless flow. We get to learn more about the characters and meet even more along the way. The ride we are taken on is full of twists and turns and it leaves you wondering which God is the worse one.....
As a second novel you can see the writing style improve and smooth out. Mrs Lonergan has definitely found her feet and is doing an impeccable job of storytelling. I couldn’t stop reading this book and I can’t wait to see how it ends, though it will be a bit bittersweet!
This was so frustrating in a sense because it's worded in such form that you don't see the bigger picture only what the author wants you to see in that moment. Regardless I loved it so hard I can't wait to see what happens
