Ruthless billionaire. Cold. Untamable. Relationships meant nothing to me. I never wanted a family. Then she walked into my office. My best friend's little sister. She’s more beautiful than I remembered. I wanted to protect her in the past, but I messed up. Years passed. She's my new secretary. And still the only girl I want to claim . Mark as mine .
To inherit the company, I need a baby. And a wife. She needs money to save her mother. I gave her a proposal. We made a contract. She thinks our marriage has an expiration date. But her sweet curves and innocence belongs to me now. I refuse to let her get away.
Can we build the perfect future or will our past get in the way?
As a man who is a hopeless romantic, your support is my inspiration. I'm excited to have you read my books so we can go on the hottest romance adventure together! ;)
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book made me laugh, made me cry, caused some cursing and some awwwwing --- in other words, this book WILL make you feel.
The emotional ups and downs, ins and outs, created a plot that held my attention, even when I was mad at it. The characters, both main and secondary, were nuanced and interesting, adding layers of humanity to the cast and breathing life into them.
The flow of the story was perfect, moving at just the right pace so we could be immersed in the world without drowning in it. The evolution of the main characters, and their relationship, was a thrill ride itself. Some of the emotionally charged speeches given should really be stitched on pillows and blankets; they were kinda epic. And, of course, the delightful humour of R.R. Banks was just the icing on the cake.
rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. we meet Cherry, at her soon to be in laws to find her finance wrapped up with another woman...who is also his fiance...wth! on top of that cherry lost her job. sulking long enough she decides to interview for an executive assistant job and after telling her crappy life story she got the job!! holy cow...and her boss is none other than her childhood crush and her brothers bff Gabriel. on Monday gabriel notices a beautiful woman at his retired assistants desk and lowandbehold its Cherry! man shes grown up fine. and not too happy about her having lunch with a brown noser at work. Gabriel's dad gave him an ultimatum...grow up, produce and heir in 1 yr or lose the company after her retires. at a loss for words he contemplates cherry for thr job and has his lawyers produce papers. cherry is at a loss of words...did she hear gabriel correctly? he wants her to give him an heir? being cherry thru and thru she agrees to his terms but she has yet to tell him of her intact V-card. what could possibly go wrong, right? girl gets to have her fantasy mans baby and boy gets his father off his back...no worries!
This book turned out to be quite unexpected to say the least. From the beginning to the end. Cherry started a bit whiny at first, I really didn't like her character and Gabriel 's very much. Frustration did set in real quickly. And Eureka!
Now, It's a major 360 degrees! What can one expect from such an author. Be ready dear reader for hardship, romance, chemistry, sex. And a force in having a second chance at love, most of all rightly reserved. Sincerely as the story unfolds it brings all sorts of wonderful emotions anyone want to feel. This storyline was so different in a way,but similar as well in the unique style that is R.R. But growth is showed tremendously in each delicious book written. I had quite a few laughs and sometimes the need to strangle this amorous couple at times. But at the end it all made sense. R.R is one author that I truly respect for knowing exactly what his readers want and honing his craft so beautifully that you can't wait to become excited every time he puts pen to paper.
This was given to me freely for an honest review, and I will say if there's such a thing as 10 stars ,he certainly deserves it for his hard work and dedication to bring us readers to a wonderful land different than our own.
Dude,Your romance is absolutely up to par.Amazing! Bar none! You Rock!
Well, Gabriel! Now you’ve done it! I’ve heard of “back door” proposals before… But this one is … Convoluted. Unique. Just a tiny bit… Nuts. Oh, well… Anything to get the girl. Because Cherry belongs to you. Since Always… and Forever.
This is a book to ponder over, and enjoy-- Even after you’ve finished it… It lingers and makes you smile. If I could give it 10 stars I would! It hits all the “feels”. Big time. Funny. (LOL) Romantic. (Sigh… Cry…) Sexy. (HOT). Bottom line: Perfect. 5 stars (10).
Cherry and Gabriel were childhood friends, with Gabriel being her older brother, Brent's, best friend. When Cherry's dad died, Brent said he would take care of their mum and her and for her not to worry but this was not to be following a tragic accident. So Gabriel left and he never saw Cherry for years but he's back now and they are astonished when they meet again. Cherry's mum is seriously ill and she is doing all she can to make sufficient money to pay for her medical bills. meanwhile, Gabriel's father gives him an ultimatum - have a child to show responsibility or you won't become the CEO and owner of the company after his father! Gabriel is obviously furious and is furious with his father but what he doesn't realise is that his P.A. who keeps him on track perfectly has given her job to Cherry. he has always liked Cherry especially when she started to develop into a stunning young woman and they do have a history but she is even more beautiful now and he really does want to get to know her better anyway. But could she help him with his father's latest proclamation?? He's sexually attracted to her and she seems to be equally into him as the air practically crackles with electricity humming between them. But what happens when real and lasting emotions become involved?? I loved the beginning of the story and I don't know how Cherry was so polite to that wedding planner and as for that jerk, Ashley, she had a very lucky escape form him. I loved the way R.R. banks gave us layers of the story and as I got into the story more and more layers were revealed making this the perfect feel good factor story. So well written with a unique storyline that was such fun to read and as he revealed more and more parts of the layers to the story it became 'alive' to me and the characters were not just made up of letters on a page but were almost 3- dimensional and animated. I admit my expectations of this story were very high after reading R.R. Banks last novel , Accidentally Married, but he has surpassed my expectations and I look forward with anticipation for his next story for us to enjoy! I received a reader's copy of this story and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
I have purchased my own copy of the story as I know that I will be wanting to re-read this story in the future as it is so good plus the bonus materials are extremely good [I have that on good recommendations from a friend] and so will be enjoying reading them beginning this evening.
I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book had me smiling, laughing, feeling sad, feeling happy. It had a dual POV Cherry and Gabriel. Cherry's best friend Jess was like the best ever sister to Cherry. Cherry had been through so much in her young life. She lost her father, her older brother Brent and now had full responsibility of caring for her ailing mother. She lost her fiancé Anthony and the next week lost her job. She had it rough. However she was a strong resilient individual. She even applied for a job that she did not have the experience for and got the job as executive assistant for Gabriel Reed, whose father was the CEO. Gabriel had high hopes of taking over the company when his father retired but his father, Monroe, had objections to his only son taking over. Monroe told Gabriel to settle down have a child get stable. When Gabriel found out that Cherry Spenser was his best friends little sister he was overwhelmed with emotion. He had always wanted her but after Brent died he lost himself and Cherry and he never hooked up. Now years later she was all grown up and was a beautiful voluptuous woman, he wanted her to be the mother of his child. She has a crush on Gabriel since she was a teen. So when Gabriel put "The Proposal" before Cherry promising her 100 percent top of the line medical care for her mother Kathy,, a new place to live if and lifelong security she said yes. Then things became wonderful between them. Then it wasn't. It went back and forth that way for a while till they realized the loved each other and wanted to work it out. Even after baby Georgia was born they were still getting to know each other. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. But well worth the read. I highly recommend this book.
It's the age old trade-off, she💋 has something he wants and needs, and he can provide her with what she needs and wants. Even-Steven🎲, right?

ARC Received for A Voluntary and Honest Review. I also bought the book📑 for my Kindle library.
I read this book as part of an arc program. This was a very emotional book about a young woman named Cherry who lost her job a week after finding her fiancée was also engaged to another woman. Cherry also was looking after her sick mother, so she really needed a job. When she applied to be a secretary at a company, she knew she was unqualified, but she was desperate. She got the job, only to find out later she would be working for her late brother's best friend, who she hadn't seen since her brother died and she tried to seduce him. Gabriel is a playboy and not known for being the most responsible person, so when his father tells him he is not going to inherit the company, he tries to change his mind. His father tells him if he settles down and has a child within the year, he will get the company. Gabriel decides to ask Cherry to carry his baby in exchange for money for her mother's medical expenses. Gabriel has always been attracted to Cherry, but promised her brother he would not make a move on her. When Cherry reveals she is a virgin, his attraction grows and he can't fight his feelings anymore. They have a great friendship which grows throughout the book. Even though their relationship is fake, they do care about each other and have a lot of adjustments to make. They also have a lot of problems and have to work through them before the baby is born. I liked this book, I liked Gabriel and how he really cared for Cherry, but he also had a lot of guilt over her brother's death. Cherry was in love with Gabriel but thought he only wanted the baby. The love scenes between Gabriel and Cherry were very loving and sensual. There was great chemistry between them and it made for an emotional read. Another great one!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Loved this book and it is one you NEED to READ—you won’t regret it! R.R. Banks, you did it again—becoming one of my favorite authors!! From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with. I enjoyed reading this story because it was an emotional rollercoaster ride, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline. Proposals, wedding, contracts, inheritance, expirations, jealously, and passion continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. Cherry Spencer was engaged to be married to her fiancé Anthony, but how can you get married to someone who IS already engaged to someone else!! Gabriel Reed is so freaking sexy and HOT! He is the heir to his family’s business, but in order to inherit the business, Gabriel’s father put some stipulations for his inheritance. Cherry had a crush on Gabriel ever since she was a kid. He was her older brother’s best friend. When Cherry started working for Gabriel, he decided that she would be the best person to proposition in order to inherit the business—so the journey begins with Cherry and Gabriel. The chemistry between Cherry and Gabriel grows more potent the more time they spend together—the sex is off-the-chart hot! You get a chance to see the progression of their love—theirs was not a quick and easy love story because they had to overcome some issues, but loves does prevail. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.
Cherry has had her life turn upside down and is looking for a job so she can help her mother with medical bills. She goes in for an interview knowing that she is not qualified for the job and if it wasn't for the lady interviewing her feeling sorry for her she wouldn't have gotten it. Gabriel just wants to take over the family business but his father doesn't think that he is responsible enough. After his father agrees to consider him for taking over of he has an heir so Gabriel starts planning for who he can pick to have his baby. Walking into work the last person he expected to be his secretary was Cherry but its a good surprise. Cherry never thought she would see her brother's best friend again after her brother died and was surprised when she learned he would be her boss. With their history is was a natural thing to be drawn to one another. When Gabriel approaches her with his business proposal Cherry agrees to have a child with him and he agrees to help out with her mother. Seems like the perfect deal and that everything would fall right into place but they were both wrong. What happens when real feelings come into play and Gabriel's father has yet another expectation of his son?
This was a great story once I started it I didn't put it down until I was at the end. The chemistry between Cherry and Gabriel was intensely hot. This was a very entertaining and well written story. You will be laughing out loud at parts of this story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
1 week after Cherry found out her fiance was already engaged she lost her job. When she finds a job opening for an executive assistant. Cherry has no experience but she hoped she could fake her way through the interview but when the lady interviewing her asked her what kind of experience she has Cherry told her the truth then for some reason she broke down and told her everything that has happened in the last 2 weeks and she said she just really needed the job. After a moment the lady looked at her and said not anymore your hired. She told Cherry anybody that can go through what you did and come out of it can certainly handle this job. They went to go meet her new boss but he wasn't in his office. When Cherry learned her new boss's name she almost didn't accept the job. Her new boss was her brother's best friend and the one person that had humiliated her when she was 18 only to disappear the next day and she hasn't heard from him since and that was 9 years ago. This is an excellent read that will have you laughing out loud at times. It's got the emotional ups and downs that will make you feel for the characters. I love the plot and the characters are well rounded. This is a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Monroe Reed is ready to retire and turn the family business over to his son, Gabriel but he doesn't think Gabriel is ready for the responsibility. Monroe knows what it will take to set him on track so he is about to give him an ultimatum. Will Gabriel do what is expected of him in order to take his next step up the ladder?
Nine years after tragedy ripped friends and families apart, Cherry is finally ready to take a step forward. She is engaged and her fiance' has invited her to his home to meet his parents. Imagine her surprise when she is confronted with a very large party and a very unexpected guest. In that moment her life shifted to a new low.
She returns to her hometown and takes a new job. And just when she thought the surprises were over, in walks her new boss and once again her life is on tilt. Could things get any more dramatic?
Banks has once again provided his readers with some interesting characters and a backstory that will have you wondering "what the heck" and if you are like me, a little "whiplash" at places. I received a reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
The Proposal... When Gabriel proposes, will Cherry say “I Do?”
Wow! Holy hotcakes. R.R. Banks delivers another delectably delicious story. I think I fell in love with Mr. Banks’s & his remarkable storytelling by the second story I read & have devoured every one since. His plots are well developed, the characters very life-like, the romance hot n’ steamy & happily ever afters. You’ll be so drawn into the story, that you don’t notice the time & the pages flying by, until you’ve turned the last page.
Cherry & Gabriel have a past. Cherry’s brother was his best friend, all of them growing up together until a tragedy separates them. Years later, circumstances find them together again. Cherry starts a new job, Gabriel is her new boss & a new job description changes everything. How does Gabriel’s Father & his “ultimatums” alter his relationship with Cherry? To find out how their story goes, I highly recommend you “one-click” this new release & add it to your own library, I guarantee you won’t regret it...
I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) of this new release & am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
When Gabriel finds Cherry back in his life after years apart, the idea of his proposal is supposed to solve both their problems. Twists of fate, stubbornness galore, and unresolved feelings leave the two connected souls lost in something bigger than then anticipated.
I just need to get this out of the way before I go any further-
I too have in the past dealt with the likes of " The Bad One, " and I want to say in Cherry's defense, sometimes it doesn't matter what you put in it, or how you distribute, the off-balance mentality has gone on far too long... It's anybody's guess how it will react at any given moment. I'm just saying!
Okay, Now that I have that out of the way! Oh, the feels coming off of this one! Heart, Heat, Happiness, Home, those were the things that kept leaping off the pages for me! Plus the plot twisted storyline with just the right amounts of drama'd up romance! Yes, please! R.R. Banks has such a unique ability to bring us fun, hot, humorous, new adventures that I want to read again and again!
I really enjoyed this book. Not your typical story of a crush as a kid to meeting them again when you’re older. Cherry lost her fiancée and her job within 2 weeks. She gets hired as an executive secretary and finds out she will be workin for her childhood friend Gabriel. Gabriel is going through his own problems when his father decides he won’t leave the company to Gabriel when he retires. Feeling like it’s complete bull! The father tells him that he needs a baby so when he does back to his office and sees Cherry he decides to ask her. I mean who better than to have a baby with than a friend instead of a stranger. He offers to help her and her mother and so she agrees. But it becomes too hard for her after they have one night together. Her feelings for him never went away and now she finds herself really being pregnant. The realizing hitting her she needs to walk away but when Gabriel tells her they must now marry things take another turn. Can her heart take a wedding to the man she lives who doesn’t love her in return?
Cherry is a loving, naive young woman. She's had to deal with some tough stuff in her life, but she bounces back, eventually. Or maybe she's dragged back by her best friend, Jess. Life goes on, and Cherry's story lands her a job with her brother's bf Gabriel. Gabriel himself is in a bit of a bind, and his proposal can help both of them. These characters, they're like people I know. Not particularly larger than life, but real people with their flaws & mistakes, struggling to make things right and grow into better people. This story is relationship driven, not just between the two characters but with many people in their lives. Mr Banks has taken his time letting this process occur & it really made me love the story more. I *floved* the washing machine scene. Also, the peaches. Read it & see for yourself!
While Cherry and Gabriel both had feelings for each other, life’s circumstances took them from each other for a few years. Reunited, Cherry becomes his Executive Assistant and things start to simmer. Cherry agrees to Gabriel’s crazy proposal but starts falling in love with him. So it is hard for her to keep this business arrangement from becoming more and fights to keep it that way.
R.R. Banks fills this story with lots of humor throughout featuring crazy, outlandish situations that are unique to his style of writing. He also shows sweet, sentimental glimpses of earlier times when they were younger, as well as many touching moments in the present as their romance blossoms. Pulling at your heart strings, Gabriel proves to be quite romantic as he proves himself and his love for Cherry and the baby. Sweet story.
R.R. Banks does it again with another fantastic book that you won’t be able to put down. Gabriel fears he will never get to inherit his father’s company with him demanding he find a wife and start a family in the next year. He knows one person he would like to have a child with, but hasn’t been in touch with her in years. Cherry feels like a failure at love. What she thought was going to be a meeting with her fiancee’ family, but didnt expect to see he had another family. She finally starts looking for jobs, and lands an interview for a secretary. Once she gets the job she finds out she will be working with Gabriel, her childhood crush that she hasn’t seen in years. Can Gabriel convince Cherry to give him a child so he inherits his father’s company? Will Cherry tell him sorry, but I’m not for sale? Can the past help them or hurt them?
This was another great read from Mr. Banks. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters.
If I could pick one thing that didn’t work for me, it’s that, at times, I felt the book was rushed. It was shorter than his last few books so maybe that’s why.. I’m not sure but I just felt like time kind of skipped forward more than what I would’ve liked.
Besides that, I really did love the story. He was her first crush and she was his best friends sister. So majorly off limits! He followed those rules for years, until he couldn’t deny himself any longer.
Gabriel and Cherry were great characters, and even the supporting characters were fun, especially Cherry’s best friend, Jess. Great writing from a fantastic author!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
After showing up to her wedding shower Cherry gets a surprise she never expects. From there her week only seems to get worse. When she shows up for a new job she can't believe who her new boss turns out to be. When Gabriel recognizes Cherry he can't believe it. It makes him realize how long it has been since he saw her last and it brings up painful memories. When Gabriel learns of the requirements for his inheritance, he knows Cherry would be the perfect person and in return he would help her with her family situation. This was a great read! The characters have good chemistry and are really likeable. The story is well written and entertaining. I would recommend this book, loved it!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh Cherry, you need some good luck. After a cheating ex, a sick parent and now losing her job..it seems that fate plus a good best friend Jess help you getting the best job ever. Well, not until she realises who her new boss is.... her brothers best friend Gabriel, the one she had a crush on at 16. Now the fun begins. Never in her wildest imagination does she think she will get a different kind of Proposal a girl hopes for one day....Gabriel wants a baby. A story of two people brought together again by fate, lots of emotions, contracts, laughter (especially the washing machine scene) new baby and finally growing up and admitting true feelings. Fantastic story, loved it.
Cherry and Gabriel will win you heart and take you on an emotional roller coaster. The book is well written and the characters are complex, well developed and likeable. The book is written from a dual POV which is great as it allows us to know what they both are thinking. They knew each other in the past as she was the sister of his best friend and fate brought them together again. They both needed something the other could give so they worked out a deal. They both get more than they bargained for. No spoiler here, but this is a great book that you will love. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I have never read a book by R.R. Banks that I didn’t just fall in love with and The Wedding Proposal is no exception. I fell in love with the characters of Cherry and Gabriel…..their chemistry is hot! It’s a second chance romance that’s filled with some good laughs, some parts that will make you want to just want to cry, a true hot steamy romance that will definitely make you fall in love with this story. The Wedding Proposal is going to hold your attention right from the very first page till the end. Pick up a copy and read how Cherry and Gabriel get their HEA!!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A sweet, fast moving, second chance story that had me reading until the early hours....I couldn't put it down.
Cherry and Gabriel have a shared history, but haven't seen each other for years. When they meet again the sparks fly, yes, their old attraction was only dormant and not snuffed out.
What follows is a beautiful comedy of manners, with shades of Shakespeare.....misunderstandings abound, gossip is listened to, neither of the main characters will admit to what they're feeling, the wooing is woefully lacking, and comic relief is supplied by the secondary characters.
The Proposal by R. R. Banks was quite the love story, it was a wonderfully sexy written book. This was an emotional story with some drama, definitely sexy and some love. Two very lovable characters who have some great chemistry. There will be some ups and downs and a bit of twist and turns. This was a book that captures your heart and attention and keeps you hooked from the start to the very end. I highly recommend this great story it will keep you wanting more and more you will be unable to put this book down. I voluntary reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Another good storyline by the wonderful Mr. Banks. He certainly knows how to pull the reader into the story and make you feel like you are part of it and right in the middle of all the action that takes place. Wonderfully written characters with enough twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. And, with the extra goodies that are included, it is well worth the purchase price.

Gripping and emotional, I could not put Gabriel and Cherry's story down. It's such a rich romance. and I'm almost sad that I can't read it with fresh eyes. Even starting to write this review, I'm tearing up. Their past isn't easy, but it's beautiful to see how they heal. The chemistry remains strong and only deepens as the relationship does. This is definitely a must-read for sure. The writing is amazing and the character development some of the best I've seen, and not just in this year. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
What are the odds of being in a situation where you are engaged to be married twice within a six month stretch?
How about being engaged to someone who is engaged to two persons at the same time? And to make it even more special, you are planning your engagement party and the opportunity to meet your future in laws. All this mixed up in this book.
She found herself in another situation where it can either be good for her or is basically in a similar situation. Thankfully, it ends beautifully.
Admittedly, though this plot is different, this is once again, another romance novel.
R.R. Banks is an excellent author and he has proven again his skill in writing a story that is so compelling that the reader cannot put it down. “The Proposal” has all the elements an amazing book should have, well-developed likeable characters, an captivating story line, drama, heart-warming emotions, hot steamy passion, and a happily ever after love.
