On that night he was driven out to the street, Ritsuya met his eternal admiration, Mayato. It was just a short meeting, but these two boys in pain finally found the best comfort on each other, sealing their bond for the years after. But, how would they survive in the world of irresponsible adults? "Matching our Answers" is a modern BL with a taste of classic unfortunate children folk tales that resolves on the idea of love and pain...
Bought as a part of the Humble Bundle Manga: Return of the Yaoi bundle.
There wasn't much to take from just the first chapter of this story. The child abuse and neglect in this series make me nervous about where this story will go, but there are something like 20 chapters to get through so I'll try to take it all as it comes.
Warning for the series: abuse towards children (neglect, slapping and punching),tobacco, liquor and recreational drugs usage, death of a parent amd suggestive content. Note: I read this webtoon digitally originally either in 2018 or 2019. The webtoon seems to be completed at 24 chapters and 14 volumes in Japan but has various English language translation websites at different chapters that are still translating the story. June - 3 Global Comix -13 Manga.club - chapter 13 releases February 14th,2023 Futekiya library -13 Barnes and Nobles - 10 Amazon (English language translation) - 7 The Manga Updates website says the story was completed at volume 2 chapter 24 but that is incorrect and the websites it listed that are translating the webtoon are "scanlations" websites but official websites translating this series. Anime Planet mistitled the story and it is posted in there that there is 15+ chapters but it's listed the story as a yaoi which it probably isn't. Toomic is the ONLY website I could find with all 24 chapters in English. I read the first ten chapters and so I haven't see ANY yaoi content and I think this story may be a boy's love (BL) and not a yaoi (M/M with sexual content) story which is good since the characters are still too young for those scenes. I started reading "Matching Our Answers" for the story and not for yaoi/MM scenes so I have no problem with the lack of MM scenes. I will post full review after I re-read the first 10 chapters.
