Book Six of the bestselling Train Through Time series, a historical time travel romance series set in the early 1900s.
It’s summer in the Rocky Mountains, and Gemima Holliday is on a genealogical road trip...by train! The view from the train windows is to die for! Evergreen trees abound, wildflowers are in bloom, animals graze in meadows, and life is grand! She loves trains, she loves genealogy and she loves her ancestors. That she is without a love of her own troubles her only a little bit. She’s still young, right? Plenty of time!
But the mystery of one ancestor troubles her. John Morrison never married, and she wants to know why. A successful lawyer, he could probably have had his pick of any eligible young lady in the state of Montana. Sure, he had been disfigured in a train accident according to newspaper reports, but that shouldn’t have kept him from love. Should it?
Gem sets out by train to find out what happened to her ancestor and why he turned away from love and family.

I've been writing romance fiction since 2006 and have published 20 books. I write time travel romances, contemporary romances, romantic suspense, and light paranormal romances (lovelorn ghosty stuff).
A gypsy at heart, I've lived in Aruba, Venezuela, Arizona and California (thanks to my parents, and in Guam, Wyoming, Washington State, Belgium, Washington D.C., Maryland, Montana, Turkey and Alaska (thanks to my time in the U.S. Air Force. Since then, I've lived in Idaho, Nebraska and Alabama in addition to visiting many more countries and states, and I'm determined to Goodreads friend everyone from all those places plus many more!
There is just something about this series that just pulls me in. I love that each story is a total different adventure on that train. I also enjoyed the genealogical aspect to this one. I do hope that this is not the end and the author writes more books in the series.
Bess McBride's time traveling train adventures are so heartwarming, emotional, and exciting. She managed to throw in so many slight differences and twists to genuinely attach my interest from start to finish. I own the others in paperback and Kindle. I look forward to adding this one to my collection. Solid, clean, mysterious and vibrant emotionally... fantastic read.
How did I miss rating this?? I love this series, and this book was worth waiting for. The Hero was just so endearing. I was really rooting for the Heroine to survive and loved her wanting to work. The main conflict when you worry about the outcome was very short lived - on the one hand, you didn’t have to spend long wondering what would happen. On the other hand, there wasn’t much suspense or conflict. :)
As a genealogist I found this time travel novel enjoyable. What fun to meet someone from your past. Gem had a time keeping her "times" straight. One would have to be an inventive liar! John was the perfect hero to sympathize with and fall for. What a tangled web Train Travel was.
This is another winner. I love all her time travel books especially the train travel stories. She writes wonderful storylines and great characters in every book. I highly recommend all her books to everyone who loves a good love story and time travel. Diana Romano

I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Train through Time. I felt like I was Gem . I couldn't wait for it to end , so I could see them get together, but hated for it to end. I gi've it a 5 star rateing. Can't wait to read the whole set.
