For a long time, Captain Peron of the Prentiss has been making a living by cleaning up the mechanical debris polluting space. But when a routine job there interferes with his and his crew's normal work routine, they must figure out why things on the Prentiss have changed. --- Notes from the This sci-fi/mystery novelette is around 14,000 words, and the story contains some swearing. About the author--from the I have an academic background in engineering and science, and a degree in space science in part. For years I worked as a scientific copy editor for a nonfiction publishing house, but now I spend my days--and too many late nights--trying to solve fictional "what if" problems. I've been writing for over 24 years.

“Hellscape” is a short story by F. P. Adriani, set in his Diamond Universe along with books such as “Backflow” and “Firestone”. In this plot, Captain Perry Peron, commander of the ship “Prentiss”, is out and about with his crew, in the waste and salvage business when a puzzling object in space draws an investigation that becomes dangerous. Very Definitely Recommended. Four RESOLUTE Stars. Kindle, 42 pages.

Enjoyable SF short story!

I really like this short story that had me on the edge of my seat turning pages like mad . Thank you F.P. Adrian a new fan!
