Annalise Timmins is found battered and beaten in the bathroom of a quiet roadside rest area without her car, her identification, or her memory. To her horror, she quickly learns that more than her memory is missing. Doctors and loved ones alike try to fill in the blanks for her, but she finds it impossible to believe their stories. Wouldn’t she remember these people? Wouldn’t she remember her family? As she tries to piece together the life they claim she has, she suddenly finds herself questioning which is worse: to forget… or to remember?

FORGOTTEN, by Kelli Owen.

This is the Thunderstorm Books Lettered edition Private Reserve 2, Letter "X".

I read this one in a single sitting! Psychological suspense on every page--literally impossible to guess at, there were so many twists and turns.

Recommended.

I'm picky with thrillers. But Kelli Owen nailed it here. Lots of intrigue and awesome slow burn for each major plot point. The depth to which the author took things, especially with our lead, Anna, was what I enjoyed most. Thrillers tend to have so many twists and turns that its overkill, disorienting the reader beyond enjoyment. Here, she blurred the lines with Anna so well. Just enough to make you really understand the situation she was in and how nothing was just cut and dry. I found myself really disliking her at times but then empathizing at other points. Kept me totally engaged. It was a really great dynamic struck that always kept the focus on our lead, not allowing anything else crowd her narrative. The other characters, although very few, which I always am a fan of, did still get enough attention, but were all always relegated to supporting cast status. And the length was just right, too. Hitting all the right notes, Kelli Owen did this story right.

A mystery that immediately sucks you in. Then you get some answers and realize you were probably better off not knowing. Great ending.

Annalise is found at a roadside reststop without her baby and the last five years of her life. Before you tell me that you've read this before let me say oh, no you didn't! Kelli Owen takes screaming left turns from the right turn only lane like a score of cops is on her tail.

I love psychological thrillers, especially ones where the best is saved for the last page. Do yourself a favor a buy and read this excellent novella today.

This is a great story. The characters and storyline will pull you in quickly. The twists make it difficult to decide if you still feel the same for the characters. Highly recommended.
