The Halfway House series is without doubt one of the best ever written! It was with a mix of sadness and excitement that I started to read Rumor however above and beyond everything what always stands out in each book is the talented writing and creativity of this author, this book is no different.

This story continues where book six leaves off literally, so you feel like you are right back there with Rumor fighting the evil, demented Ivan and Clove right from the start. Rumor, although the Paranormal Council’s hired killer, certainly has a fight on her hands, feet and every other body part and mind but she also has backup in the form of her adopted family. The questions are...will it be enough? Who will survive?

Rumor’s past life, her childhood, upbringing and other life changing events were never really explored or explained, until this book. We get a closer look into what makes her the strong, sassy character she is now.

As with her other books, the humour is outstanding in this one. At times it slaps you in the face with it’s hilarity and at others it is lightly threaded through the story enhancing scenes, for example when Bodhan is about to object to Merakai accompanying the others on their Ivan hunt..Arkadia quickly intervenes and...”Her nose was a bee’s dick away from his.”...😂 subtle enough but darn funny too.

Suspense is the key element to this book and it has it in bucket loads. You can feel yourself virtually waiting for the next ‘thing’ to occur, scary event or fearful feat to happen. You definitely experience all of the emotions with the characters and truthfully, at times tears were flowing down my face and with good reason. When you get that personally invested in a story you know the author has done a brilliant job of writing a first rate quality story.

Sad as it is to know this is the last book in the series, it is one incredibly well written adventure that I am so happy I participated in, all without leaving my lounge room.

One hell of an ending

I have read this entire series and have utterly loved it but this book.......this takes it to a whole new level. Right from the first page I knew I was in for a ride but I didn't expect the lengths this author would go to to wring every emotion from me. I'm sad this is the last of this series

Without a doubt the Halfway House series is my most favourite series EVER!

Rumor was the proverbial icing on the cake in this 7 Book series.

Rumor a strong, tough character throughout the series finally has her own story told and man what a story..

The story continues where Merakai leaves off and we are once again thrown into the wonderful world of Dzintra Sullivan’s Halfway House. Right into the thick of it with Rumor once again protecting who she loves even if she won’t admit it! The psycho Ivan Grey has kidnapped Rumor and taken her into HELL a place she DOES NOT want to be.. During this journey we discover the whys hows and who’s that has made Rumor who she is.. from her complicated childhood through the events that made her a hired killer for the paranormal Council... the hunt is on to rescue Rumor and return her to her FAMILY!!

The author has delivered a fantastic ending ( or is it) to this series. The story continues in the writing style I’ve come to enjoy and associate with Dzintra Sullivan her unique mix of drama, action and humour not to mention her one liners that make you stop reading to catch your breath after laughing so hard you’re almost ( well in my case definitely ugly) crying.

There is a lot happening in this book and the author successfully tied everything up, albeit with a few major twists that I was not expecting. ( no spoilers)

Yes it’s the end, Yes I’m sad it’s the last book but the author did a fanfreakingtastic job of making it one HELL OF A JOURNEY!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of Ms Sullivan’s unique storytelling ability then I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any of her books.

what can you say about a story/series that gives you everything and then pulls the rug from under you with twists and turns you just don't see coming. I laughed I cried and honestly abused the author in my own mind as I read what was a very fitting conclusion to one very different and appealing series of novels that to you into a world where, in the end, love tried so hard to conquer all.

I Highly recommend this series to anyone who believes that we all have value and its just a matter of finding your own worth in a world that rarely values those who are different

Were all my questions answered? NO... what happens with Mali and how did she feel to know that one life was saved but her own mates life was not.
Did she resent Neveah and Rumor, did she feel less because her lover wasnt worth saving
Does the ending mean there is the chance of another series in the future I mean there are secrets kept and stories still to be told. Only time will tell but I know I will be waiting patiently for more from this author

holy heck!!!!

this is the last installment of the HWH series and its a doozey!
Hang on for a wild ride filled with multiple emotions love hate fear excitement
As with the rest of the series Rumor will rock your world ! You will need a couple of boxes of tissues and possibly a bottle of wine!.
Dzintra has given us a complex story bringing this series to a close.
Rumors story is as deep and complex and action packed as the rest of the series and you will feel like you are experieincing all the emotions.
Family is the key to all but will the family be the same ?
Will the family be broken or will it come back stronger than ever?
will Ivan win out? or will everyone come together and survive?
Rumor is much loved by all and will they save her?
This is one story that will score all the feels good and bad and take you on such an emotional roller coaster that you will not be the same when it comes to its end

So the end of the Halfway House may be near? Rumor will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with twists and turns you will never see coming. The characters are unpredictable but as paranormal what else would you expect. This is the final book in this amazing series and a Dzintra Sullivan will leave you wanting more, expect the unexpected, how will it all end. Take the wild ride and find out for yourself. Highly recommended, incredible finish.

This is without doubt one of Dzintra’s best. I am sad to read the end of this series, but I know how much I have enjoyed Dzintra’s writing from Arkadia to this last installment. This would make a fabulous TV series or motion pictures it’s that good. Congratulations on a fantastic series that readers will enjoy for years to come.

Emotional wreck

Grab a box of tissues. Clear your schedule and lock yourself in your room. That is the best way to read this book. It will have your emotions going every which way. You will at one point start cussing the author out, then they will slowly start to heal the pain inflicted. Hope someday she will revisit this family and we can see how they have healed and what the future looks like.

I love the Halfway House family! They may break my heart and make me cry and family members may not survive but they are always there for each other.

Rumor’s story picks up exactly where Merakai’s stopped, in the middle of an epic battle with Ivan Gray. Now I’m not wanting to spoil anything with what’s going to happen but lets just say they end up in layers of hell with many demons and some HWH family members go in search to bring Rumor home. Even though we start with an epic battle scene there are even more epicer (not that it’s a word) battles to be had along the way.

Rumor’s story broke my heart in many places and the tears were ever flowing but it was the perfect story to end a wonderful series.

The final instalment of the Halfway House Series.

Rumors story was full of pain and suffering and we had waited many books to get to her story. After finding her coping mechanism, Rumor assumes that she was unbreakable. However Ivan manages to still get to her and make her suffer.

The Halfway House Crew go on one last rescue mission to save their beloved badass with deadly repercussions.

I was extremely shocked with how the events took a turn for the worst. .
Although this is the last book in the HWH Series I would still love a spin-off! It’s very hard to say goodbye.

I seriously feel like my heart was torn out while reading this one. I sat in the doctors office and cried so hard. I’m sad to see this end because I’ve loved these characters from the beginning in book one with Arkadia.

Dzintra Sullivan knows how to make you fall in love with her characters. She will make you feel like you are apart of the family and become invested in their future.

#Rumor

THE END IS HERE...

This book begins where book 6 finishes. Straight back into the action. Rumor is facing off against the lunatic Ivan and Clove...
Who will come out on top?
What evil plan has Ivan hatched now?

The Halfway House are behind Rumor and will do anything in their powers to help.
Will they be enough to even the score?
Who will survive?
With everything unfolding so many questions need answers...

I don’t want to give too much away. This a MUST READ and experience for yourself. This final instalment has totally blown my mind LOL. I’ve laughed, cried and been hanging on edge of my seat. Not having a clue what was going to happen next. I’m in awe of the story Dzintra Sullivan created, and was completely lost in it till the very last page...SO GOOD!

Amazing finish!

The last book in the series... :(
Such a great finale to the Halfway House series... while it’s not entirely a happy ending-it does make you smile through the tears in the end.
Maybe there will be an epilogue novella to keep us in the loop...??? That would be great!

And Rumor changes everything?

Dzintra Sullivan brings this exciting series to a close with Rumor. This ending is darker than the others. You will find yourself laughing in the beginning but crying in the end. Dzintra Sullivan has found her true calling with these books. She is on par with the best.
