Whoa, talk about whiplash - the second book in this Duet, is as different in it's content as the title's of the two: Dirt. Diamond.
After her duping a drug using aristocratic Olivier at the end of book one with him swearing to come after her, Bijoux, now back to Sasha, has been finally living the life she's aspired to for so many years and doing it lavisciously. Always with one eye out for the possibility of Olivier finding her and what she'll have to reckon with. Olivier, on the other hand, has changed a lot in the year since the tawdry night back in Monaco. The only thing that hasn't changed is he can't stop thinking about Bijoux. And as he cleans himself up, time makes it clearer and clearer that he won't ever. He can't take back what he did, but he won't stop looking for her. Where the other book really was filth and debasement, this one was sincere and full of a man seeking redemption.
I wasn't quite ready for the sudden change. But it was interesting as he tracked her down through all her aliases and as he discovered the truths about her, including the ugly ones which only made him admire her more. These two were a perfectly filthy match both with insecurities, both with secrets and both really wanting the same validation and things.
So even though I was expecting a different book, I kind of loved the sudden switch and I really loved that it all took place in Venice. Olivier may still be a bad dude in some ways and Sasha may be a former whore but in the end the innocence of their love is the same as anyone elses.
3.75 stars for a different read than I was expecting.
Wow! This book was very different from Dirt. I loved it more! I don’t know how Daya did it with everything that happened in Dirt, but she made me fall in love with these characters. These are such short books and she had me pulled into Diamond from the very beginning to the very end!
But I’m losing her in my mind and in my memories and the realization of that guts me since they’re the only pieces of her I have right now. And I don’t want pieces! I want her whole entire being in front of me, in the flesh, where I can touch her and breathe in the soft scent of her skin because, well, she’s mine.
I read both books in under an hour. How does part I go with part II??!! I get finding someone who understands you, what I do get is the complete 180 that happened in this story.
She has my busted but beating heart in her clutches along with my millions and now my ring. It’s clear she’s going to bleed me fucking dry before I get my way.
This is the second part of a duet and it was nothing like the first part. The titles Dirt & Diamond definately made sense. There wasn’t much going on so I was a bit bored but it was cute. Nice to see how much the fmc’s life had changed. If you’ve read the first part I would recommend reading this one too.
She’s exposed like an open wound but, I won’t poke at it. I’ll kiss it and make it better. Always.
This is the second part of their story and it will show how they will get on. Will it get even hotter and naughty between them? Just how far will they push it? Follow them to see

I actually really enjoy diamond. The first book was so dark, but looking back at it, if you needed to see her desolate state. And for Olivier as well. I know she states not a romance book, but I felt all the feels with diamond. DELICIOUSLY DARK.
So originally I wasn’t gonna read this one as the 1st book left me a little queezy. But being in a book slump and not being able to decide what next, I felt this would be ideal.
I have to say this was better than the first!
For one there was an actual story!! It still wasn’t great, but better than book 1!!
Liked it much less than the first book. Both were too rushed. I love her writing style, but describing the Italian architecture wasn’t necessary for a novella that was 100 or less pages.
this was a big difference from the first book. the first book was erotic horror, not a romance. it was twisted and yk erotically horrifying. so personally, i don’t like that book one, an erotic horror, is followed by this book, which is a romance with a HEA. it doesn’t make sense. the only HEA that should’ve been written is the fmc getting everything she deserves and living her life, not an ending where she ends up with the man that drugged her and allowed 40 men to SA her.
if the first book was written as a dark romance, with dark romance aspects instead of erotic horror, or even as erotic romance, then sure this duet would’ve been great. it would’ve been twisted and dark but would have made sense to have a HEA. but the first book was strictly erotic horror, nothing about it gave dark romance or any type of romance at all. so idk where this book came from and how this ending fits bc it tries to make the first book look romantic when it’s not.
separately the books could’ve been great, one is erotic horror, and one is a dark romance mmc redeeming himself (barely too bc he didn’t do much) together tho? yeah no. it doesn’t work.
aside from them being a duet and my issues with that. the timeline doesn’t follow, the mmc says they only spent one night together, when it seemed like more than one night in the first book. he also mentions how they spent such good time, laughing, at ease, but book one strictly shows him using her body. only looking at her as a body. so when did that happen?

Olivier has been looking for Bijoux for almost a year after she left Monaco. He can't get her out of his head and he realized he's in love with her. Finding her has been a challenge, that is until he realizes not everything about her was as it seems. With new information, Olivier is able to find Bijoux and convince her to be his diamond forever.
Okay this was better than book one, Dirt. There's romance in this story and it's actually kind of sweet. The spice is okay for a novella. Dirt and Diamond should've been one book broken up into two parts. It would've worked much better together combined rather than a duet. The writing style isn't the best and needs some work. There's overuse of exclamation points, unnecessary capitalization, and added letters to draw out words (ex: noooo) that were driving me a bit wild. I thought the ending was sweet and would revisit Olivier and Bijoux to see how they're doing.
This one was written a little better than the first—more details that made the scenes feel more grounded and less obscure/vague. But I found myself wondering if I’d read the wrong book before this one because the way the characters talked to and about each other? It’s like I missed a whole book where their relationship developed beyond a drug and sex fueled like 24 hours they spent together one time. Like now they’re in love with each other? When did that happen? When did they have any conversations like at all? Between the wife slapping her and the drugged-out gang bang? Or after that but before she drugged Olivier and left?
The only redeeming thing (in Sasha’s eyes at least) that Olivier has is that he called her a whore instead of dirt, so where in that is the falling in love?
I also have seen people praising the smut scenes in both books, and I just don’t get it. They’re dirty, sure. But they’re mediocrely written at best.
Only read the sequel because it was so short and on KU and kind of regret wasting even that much time.
I give this one 2.5 simply because I gave the other 2.25 and this ones a little better but I honestly just did not enjoy this story overall so much of it confused me this one less than the last at least but it was just so much happening so fast like they had one day a year ago where they kinda treated each other like shit(mostly him lets be real) and are supposedly in love and then are all changed now but still love each other it wasn't really believable(yes i understand some books arent but this one was just not the case)this one was definitely better than the last but just still overall not enjoyable at least for me though it was a quick read but I did have to take breaks between reading because like I said didn't really love it honestly the 1st probably deserves lower and this might be a 2.25 but I don't know and I feel bad because I hate rating things low but I'm not going to lie and say I enjoyed this when in reality I didn't there were tiny parts I didn't mind but overall was a no from me

This book was a let down. I get the booktok hype over the first one, but this sequel just felt like a waste. The author's need to turn a drug-fueled sex crazed entanglement into an obsessed love-struck couple ruined it for me.
For instance, when Olivier sees her talking to another man, "They have an ease together—similar to the way Bijoux and I interact when we’re alone. We talk. We joke. We tease each other. And this Francesco does the same with Bijoux." I thought they only spent a night or three together? And wasn't a huge chunk of that time spent with him watching 40 other men sexing her? Even Bijoux says she's "never spent even one week with the man." The whole book is "God, I’ve missed this. I’ve missed him/her." And it ends with them talking about how they want to have children... After spending less than a week with a man who let 41 men (including her ex boss Bonaire, fuck her after he drugged her. Omg, I just can't...
In Dirt, I distinctly remember being warned that this duet was not a romance. LIES! This duet was my diamond in the ruff. The worst part of the duet was reading the phrase “The end.” I could read about Olivier and Bijoux/Diamond/Sasha’s filthy, DIRTY love and depravity forever. I want a third book so badly!! Ugh! I want to know all the things!
The spice was excellent. The writing was gorgeous. The references to the first book and the author’s attention to detail were just so beautifully done. Daya Daniels is definitely one my new favorite authors. I want these books in paperback. I’m manifesting these books to be released in paperbacks so I can sit them proudly on my bookshelves where they belong.
If you can stomach Dirt, please, please do yourself a favor and read this duet. I know I will be rereading at some point.
Unexpected ending... "Bijoux has been gone for a year, one agonizing year" - Olivier has not given up his pursuit to find her. And what happens when he does? Let's just say it gets explosive. Excellent final scorching book in this series. I love everything about Oliver's passion and hunger not to mention his sexy alpha style.
I also want to mention how much I love the covers to the Authors stories. They are all unique and frame each story beautifully.
I say unexpected ending because it's more like a happy fairy tale, which in my experience reading Daya Daniels, the ending is where I typically get the most frustrated, never feeling like I got closure. But this was a good unexpected ending for me...
To me this book does not make sense as the previous book was pure erotica and all about lust ( he shared her with 40 men). Now he is obsessed with finding her not because she stole several millions from him, but because he Ioves her and wants to keep her to himself (100% the only one that will touch her) as his wife and future mother of his kids 😱😵🤔 say what???? All this "feelings" after 1 night of filthy f#ck!ng and Dr#he - I am confused 😕 Apart from all the excessive contemplation of their love and gushy feelings, it was a good, even if the editing needs some major tlc.
This was the second book in the series. The first book is very hard to read. The treatment she receives is horrendous. The ending of that book leads to this book which I found to be totally entertaining. The cat and mouse aspect appealed to me. The change in him from the first book was inspiring. I loved the ending of this book. However, how could she forgive him for his treatment of her from the first book? I'm not sure I would have.
This book must be read after Dirt, which is book 1 in the Kitsune Duet. After taking something of Olivier's and running away, Bijoux has been on the run for a year now. Olivier has not stopped looking for her, he can't be needs her. But she doesn't trust anyone and she definitely doesn't let anyone know the real her. This is a wonderful conclusion to Olivier and Bijoux's story and she will emerge as the Diamond she truly is.
Firstly these two novellas should have just been 1 book.
Where book one was like a cheap gangbang porno, this book was all mills n boon.
Because they're novellas they're obviously pretty shallow with not enough depth. I suppose it was a sweet if not unrealistic ending.
The first book talked about the harsh realities of what that lifestyle can be like. The second book completely forgot all that and went cinderella on us.
Formatting is still terrible, the name switch was weird and the story is still boring.
Also disappointed that this turned into romance making it even worse than the first book and then there is the whole forgive and forget thing.
This was not my cup of tea and it should have been formatted properly and been one book. They are 60 pages in the first book and 70 pages in the second book, so let’s say 120 pages of story without authors notes and that overall.
This second book is very different from the first, because both characters suffered and that made them grow emotionally. In this part of the story we see how their love grew and became something much more intense. I just loved it. Great story!

Diamond continues where Dirt left off. Olivier is searching for Bijoux, he is obsessed with her. He finds out her real name is Sasha and she has been moving around alot using different names. Sasha is traveling around Europe enjoying her time but feels something is missing. Diamond is opposite of Dirt. We do get romance!! Hot scenes but not as dirty as before.
Well, the second novella in this series wasn't quite as interesting as I thought it was gonna be.
After the cliffhanger in the last book, I dunno, I expected a little more. This was all, very predictable.
I guess maybe I'm finding it hard coming from book one to book two. It's a FAR leap from what we experienced. And it just didn't seem to fit for me. I dunno. It was strange.
Heartwarming, passionate yet still sexy as hell... I had to know how Bijoux and Oliver's story ended and wasn't let down. Heartwarming, passionate yet still sexy as hell. A real page turner with a great ending. Loved it!!
2nd book in this series. Super short book but also super cute. The first book was filled with a a very unhealthy situation that was toxic but this book it shows the power of love and how it can change a person.
I honestly enjoyed it. This book was a complete 180 from the previous, but it was just as good. I like how he never gave up on her and when he found her he didn’t force her, he opened up himself and made their bond stronger.
