After losing her father, Hannah steps up to keep her family together, but her stubborn, independent streak may cost her the family farm. When her home goes up for auction, her father's friend, Bryce Callahan, saves the day. Why can’t she say thank you?

She didn’t want to be attracted to him, and she certainly didn’t want to stare into his steely gray eyes. She didn’t want to kiss his lips, and yet the chemistry was undeniable.

There was just one problem. Would Bryce be able to see her as the woman she'd become instead of the girl he once knew? And what would he want in exchange for saving the farm? Book 1 in "The Hawthorne Sisters" series.

I have a passion for storytelling. I write in a conversational tone that is often described as fun and easy. I love my characters to be easy to identify with and feel down to earth. Most of my characters have a girl-next-door feel.

This Jersey girl is happily married to a patient man who has the ability to sustain long hours of rambling thoughts spilling from me non-stop. With the company of my two dogs, I set my writing schedule around their inability to coordinate their potty breaks. :)

Good bones

This story reads like a detailed outline. It could definitely be fleshed out with more details. A show instead of tell type story. Plus there were so many POV"s that it was confusing at times who was thinking what or doing what. It was a clean, sweet story that needed fleshed out

This is the first book in this series and we get introduced to Hannah and her sisters, which is a lot of characters for a short book so it sometimes feels a bit rushed and crowded in places but it's ultimately a lovely sweet romance. Hannah her sisters Allie, Maggie and Sarah are struggling with the death of their father and their mother Gretta is lost in grief, they're very close to losing the family farm when neighbour Bryce Callahan steps in to help. Bryce was a friend of her fathers but what exactly does Hannah feel when she looks at Bryce, he's a good ten to fifteen years older than her so surely nothing can come from this.
This is a sweet romance with lovely characters it's a quick easy read if you want something nice and light.

Wanted to give it 3 stars but it lacked something.. Plus the character changes would sometimes confuse me and I'd have to re read it.. Hannah's romance was boring.. :/ could have been a better story if there was more detail of more passion to them..

I got about 80% through and couldn't force myself to finish
Love the cover
Tried to fall In love with the characters, had a promising story line but the execution was off
I couldn't get into the story and it's a shame cause i can feel that it has the guts to be an excellent book

I never read a book that jumped around as much as this one did...you were reading about Hannah and then jumping around to her sisters. Poorly written.
