The 6 Stages of Grief

Rate this book
Grief is described as deep sorrow, especially that caused by death. When tragedy strikes, the Kapoor family is forced to question the integrity and purpose of their marriage after a sixteen-year union.
On the surface, everything looks good. Gio, a successful entrepreneur, worships the ground that his wife Misa walks on. In return, Misa creates a balanced home life while pursuing her own dreams. But when tragedy strikes, in the blink of an eye the couple is forced to face issues that they’ve buried long ago and an onslaught of new ones.
From the author of the Middle Building on Treemont Avenue, Danielle Carleon brings you The Six Stages of Grief.
Denial. Anger. Bargaining. Depression. Revenge. Acceptance. Which one will save the young duo from each other and themselves?
Will Gio and Misa be able to salvage their marriage? Will indiscretions from the past force her out of the door and him back to a life he vowed never to return to? The Six Stages of Grief is part one of an action-packed, emotional and riveting series that will cause you to want to be each character’s saving grace.

I loved the way this story was introduced & information revealed. I felt as if I went through the stages with Gio & Misa. Interesting characters with realistic situations. Well explained storyline with pertinent background information as the stages were presented. I thought the ending was cute. Very good read & I definitely plan to check out other books by this author.

Number One Aggy Reader

I'm sitting here in my feelings.  Authors write 20 books and they don't have the effect on me like Danielle's books do.  Two books she has written and they have a permanent spot in my head.  It's only April and now I have my top 2 books for the year.  Not blowing smoke but this is real.  Danielle you are very talented you have a true calling and this is where you need to be.  Like you have me looking up counselors.  You have me wanting to fight like I've never fought before.  I truly enjoyed this book.  I don't want to spoil it but it is a must read.  Again I'm soo proud of you.  Congrats on book #2.

I really enjoyed Misa and Gio story. I cried, laughed and got angry but I pushed through. It was sad to know that his boys turned on him... But they got what they deserved. Great story.

Pulled at my heartstrings...

I’m not gonna tell the book like some reviews but damn I’m a mother and I could imagine going through it like Misa ... this was a heartfelt and suspenseful book I downloaded it at 3 started at 4:30 and was done by 9 and that’s including stopping to actually work since I was on the clock ... I loved it can’t wait to read more from Danielle ....

Off the charts

This story plot not only takes you through the 6 stages of grief but it allows you to go through the emotions with the characters as well. Tragedy can lead you to destruction or it can help you heal. It's up to the person or people involved what choice to decide !Awesome job Danielle Carleon, you've definitely won me over as a true fan!

Wow!

I didn’t think anything would compare to book one, but I’m so happy I was wrong! This book was everything. I especially loved the beginning and end, outlining it like a radio call was brilliance! The characters in here were funny as hell!! Glow and Nazeem had to be my favorites!!! I love how much Gio loves his wife you could literally feel that!!! Amazing Job Once Again 💪🏽

From start to finish, this book was amazing!!! The characters were well put together, the story line was FRESH, not typical fight, sex, and make-up. I couldn't put this down.

6 Stages of Grief
Man if there was a radio show that told stories like this...
I know it's gotta be rough for a husband and wife to be there for one another when they are hit with a tragedy that neither knows how to deal with. How can you recover? Especially when you haven't even healed or dealt with things from your past. You're already struggling with that and trying to live a normal life only to be hit with a bomb. How can you make through? How do you truly heal? Well Gio and Misa finally realized they will never be where they needed to be if they continued to hold onto their past

Grief

This story was amazing and beautifully written! Gio and Misa story sparked emotions from me. The things they went through 80% would’ve thrown away but they wanted their union was a fight and they fought hard for. I’m not sure who had it worst out of Gio and Misa but they came out in the end. A few errors in the book but it definitely didn’t take away from the story I highly recommend this book

Wow!!!

I have NEVER been in my emotions so much, this is so real, when people are hurt they lash out with the most hurtful things to each other. I hated that he cheated, but saw it coming since it talked about him being gone so much. I need more info on the multiple rapes/pregancies, was it all Knight? How the hell he keep getting to her like that? The first i read from the author, will keep going back for more.

Awesome read!

4.5

I love the storyline and message. I love how the author presented the story with the radio show introduction. I would love if I came across a radio station that featured someone's love story.

I became a little confused with either the characters or the story plot with them but this may be because of how the author writes.

Great story

The story line, the characters, all very well developed and believable. Sometimes hard to connect dialogue with the character speaking based on authors writing style. Enjoyed the read nonetheless.
