Emerson saved the best for last!

Clover meets reclusive single dad Gage, and his daughter Adley at the general store. After briefly interacting with Adley, to the slight annoyance of Gage, she asks for his advice on purchasing a more appropriate pack for rugged weather conditions. Clover is a Senior at Fort Douglas University where she's obtaining an adventure education. Her goal is to open a year-round camp for financially disadvantaged kids.

With a storm brewing, and against her own better judgement, Clover and her classmates reluctantly follow their professor into the eye of the snowstorm. Soon Clover realizes that their lives are at stake and from the wood chopping sounds in the distance, help is just a short trek away. As they draw nearer, Clover realizes her savior is none other than her woodsman Gage who takes in the entire class and saves all their lives.

After the storm moves on, Gage asks Clover to be Adley's nanny for the next two months -- until she graduates. They're attracted to one another but don't choose to act on it right away. Gage has a secret that he doesn't want anyone to know, but Clover is on to him. When they both let down their guard, danger lurks in the darkness threatening to take away all Gage holds dear.

The Woodsman’s Nanny is the 3rd of A Single Daddy’s Romance series by Emerson Rose. Gage is this hot rockstar who has suffered some pretty terrible trauma in his past and retired from the biz to raise his young daughter in the mountains, off the grid. Clover is this beautiful young woman who has great ideas on what she wants to do with her life and how to go about achieving those goals. She is trying to overcome her fears and with one last fear to face, she goes off to the mountain to conquer it. Fate brings Gage and Clover together and wow the chemistry between this is hot, steamy and intense. There is a bit of suspense and mystery going on with their love story. I adored Gage’s little girl., She is a cutie. There is an emotional rollercoaster like passion, heartbreak, danger, despair, hope and love going on in this story. I love Ms. Rose’s writing because she makes the characters relatable and entertaining. I cant wait for her next story to come out.

My Rating: 4.6 stars *****

so this was the final part in the nanny series for Emerson Rose and I have to say I loved it. I was a bit unsure never having read a mountain man/woodsman style book before but I went with it as I have read a few of Emerson books now and I have never been disappointed and have all been 5 star reads.

When Gage and his daughter take the trip down the mountain to visit the village store to gather supplies before they got snowed in he did think he would find the most beautiful woman he had seen in years, but he did and she came in the form of a damsel in distress needing a heavy duty backpack for her course that she couldn't afford. Gage being a gent made a deal to buy her the bag but what he got from that act of kindness was so much more.

Clover is determined to pass this adventure course and start her dream business of a adventure camp for children but to do that they need to go on a 60 day hike, things turn badly very fast on her hike but it to late to turn round the best they can do he keep going and hop they find a cottage on the mountain very soon before they all turn to icicles. But when a house comes into site is she prepared for the who she finds its belongs to as they get closer and with the blizzard and temps falling fast?

I would recommend this SERIES not just this book to anyone who loves a good romance story or likes a story with a bit of a twist or a tad of drama.

Growing from grief and guilt
Gage Riley and Clover Washington had more in common with each other than they initially thought when they first met. They both blamed themselves and carried guilt with the death of a loved one. Gage blamed himself for not being there when his wife Constance needed him the most. He felt as though he failed her and his baby, as a result, he vowed to be the best daddy and mommy for his daughter Adley. Clover also felt guilt for causing the deaths of her parents even though she was a child and it was an accident.

Six years later, Gage realizes that Adley needs more than attending virtual school, but needs to socialize with children her own age and she also needed the influences of a woman's touch. Gage also needed the influences of a woman's touch and he wanted Clover to be that woman. She awaken desires that he thought was long dead. Clover fell in love with both the mountain man and his daughter and was willing to do what was necessary to protect them when they were threatened by Gage's old band mate.

Emerson wrote a sweet heartwarming romance with drama, about a man coming into grips with the loss of his wife and keeping his daughter out of the hectic wild spot light of a celebrity. It was not until his initially meeting Clover that he understood that he and Adley needed more. After dealing with the affects of PTSD Clover, Adley and Gage aka Apollo Mercury, finally get to the place where they can have their HEA and a normal life as a family together.

Gage Mercury aka Apollo Mercury, Rock Star Legend, is living off the grid with his 6 year old daughter, Adley. His wife died during childbirth. He is the most loving and caring father Adley. He may look rugged but he's the sweet man. He has a big heart too. I totally fell in love with Gage.

Clover is smart, feisty, and caring, too. She's just about to graduate when she bumps into Gage at Jerry's store. She's looking to buy a new bag but doesn't have enough, so Gage comes to the rescue.
Gage also comes to the rescue when her group is trapped on the mountain in a snow storm.

I loved this book and every page that followed. It broke my heart to read Gage's story. I understood his guilt, misplaced as it was. I also felt for Clover, too and her own tragic past. Adley is the most adorable kid, ever! She's smart as! I loved her, and she didn't seem "too old" with her vocabulary.

It also had me on the edge of my seat. I had to keep reading. Turning page after page, as quick as possible to see the outcome. I was shouting at the villian to get his comeupence, he made me really angry. I was happy when Clover challenge him. He needed it but he could also see what she was saying too. I really didn't want this book to finish. I wanted more!!

Aww what an adorable love story. I enjoyed reading this. Clover and Gage fall in love out there in the woods and while they're at it, they heal each other's wounds from the past that included the loss of those closest to them. The great thing about this story is the full inclusiveness of Gage's 6-year old daughter, Adley. The author does a great job of writing from the point of view of a precocious young girl who was raised with her dad, secluded in the woods of Colorado with very little interaction with others besides going to the small country story in town and her virtual classroom teacher. I thought that was well done and how she latched on to Clover was great too. I know that actually does happen. Some people have this magic about them that young children see and are drawn to. I get it. Clover is one of those people and it's easy to see how Gage and his daughter fall in love with her and accept her into their lives. This is a heartwarming story. One thing I don't think was addressed that maybe they could have thrown in was Clover being Black. I don't think anything was brought up beyond her being Black but there was no cultural differences addressed. I usually like to see that in interracial romance novels. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book.

Wow, what a phenomenal story this is! Gage has escaped from the rock star life, and lives in the mountains with his little girl. Clover has goals which have seen her through life, and with one last fear to conquer, she heads for the mountains. Fate brings these two together, and the chemistry between them is great. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This author has written another phenomenal storyline, which is emotional, heartbreaking, with danger and love, all which has me totally captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all, and cannot wait to read more from her, as she always gives her heart and soul to her characters.

The Woodsman’s Nanny is the 3rd of A Single Daddy’s Romance series. At first I felt a little bored because I knew the direction the story was going, BUT I in fact did NOT know and was shocked, then scared and then blown away. Overall, there was a very good story line with loveable characters. Adley was an enjoyable, well behaved youngster. Gage had an interesting background and personality. Clover was an energetic breath of fresh air. This ended up being my favorite of the Single Daddy’s Romance series! For the record, I hate snow, but Author Rose painted such a picturesque landscape and details, plus a cozy fire in the fireplace, that I felt myself wanting to spend some time right there!

After suffering a devastating loss, rock star Gage Mercury takes his daughter and flees for the serenity and solace of the woods. There, he can put all his focus on what matters most, the reason he lost his wife.
Clover Washington is determined to open a camp for any child, no matter what their financial status in life. During an outdoor survival excursion, her paths cross again with Gage and his daughter, but this time she's drawn into their lives. Until a dangerous force from Gage's past come calling, and he wants more than money, he wants blood.
I was expecting a light-hearted read, but this story had a great plot, with twists I didn't see coming. Definitely my favorite in the Nanny series so far!

Gage is one spectacular man. He gave up his music career for his child. She is his main concern. They meet Clover in town at the supply store. She is a college students going on a mountain trip for one of her classes. One huge snow storm later and the entire class ends up at his cabin. They banter back and forth and she agrees to become his nanny. The past is coming for Gage. Can he keep his daughter and Clover safe or will he lose them forever? This Author is amazing. Beautiful writing with a storyline that is not only awesome but a story of true strength.

This was a crazy and intense roller coaster ride. Gage and Clover certainly belonged together after all they've been through. Gage thought by hiding himself from humanity that he was doing the world the favor. However, with Clover coming into him and Adley's life was like a breath of fresh air. Freda was a trip though..a good read. I voluntarily read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Single-minded stories

The final novel in this omnibus was by far the best. The characters in all are vivid and individual. Although they all revolve around babies, they are more about relationships than just families. I really related to the military man with OCD in Major's Baby.

I loved the fact that this interracial romance focused on the main characters, Gage and Clover, and not their racial differences.

These two were living with extreme guilt and grief about the part they played in their loved one’s demise. This story centers on their emotional healing and growing attraction.

Beautiful story. 4.5 stars.

Not !y favorite

I love Emerson's books but this was not my favorite. The heroine got in my nerves at times. She is still in college telling a grown man how to feel for me got annoying. Don't let this be your first book by Emerson Rose.

In this awesome Nanny story we meet Gage who has been hiding from his former life and identity for 6 years while looking after his daughter Adley.
Clover, a college student, meets Gage in a small supply store. After he gifts her a new backpack, she sets out with her group on an adventure hike to pass her grades.
The weather gets worse for the group and Clover comes across Gage once again!
He takes them in until the weather passes and clears. When the group are leaving, he is a little unsettled after talk with the group but that soon fades and he has other plans for Clover as he and Adley have already gotten attached to her.
Clover thinks she is cursed after past events keep impacting the present and Gage’s privacy is blown when a series of horrible events start occurring .

I loved Clover and her development as a character. Gage is secluded in his mountain house and doesn’t get much interaction so I thought he might be more reserved, but I’m so glad he wasn’t. He cares and loves hard and goes for what he wants.
The character who stole my heart was Adley! This amazing little girl has adapted to life in the mountains and her only real social interaction is virtual school but this doesn’t stop this girl being a strong perceptive little fighter! She speaks her mind and I loved her!
Loved the story line it was well written and the epilogue was the perfect ending!!
