"Spin the tales, Son of Eden. Weave them together. Make a reality all your own..."

Three years ago, Fillion Nichols was extracted from New Eden Township, poisoned, and arrested for sabotage. In three days, he’ll return and ascend as majority owner of the human experiment. New Eden proclaims that he’s a man of magic--one who will save them from the evils of the Outside world. But, as the newly appointed Gamemaster, Fillion knows that the truth is far more terrifying than the nightmares plaguing his sleep.

In order to live, something must die.

While the biodome community buzzes with activity over the Son of Eden’s return, Leaf Watson guards a dangerous secret. A secret that forces him to trade diplomacies of peace for declarations of war. Leaf’s energy is redirected, however, when he fights to save the life of his unborn child. Chin lifted high, Willow Oak marches into the Outside to represent New Eden in her brother’s stead. She longs to unleash her hurricane winds of justice upon the world that threatens her own. Yet when she sees the man who broke her heart, their combative grief endangers all.

In different worlds coded by the same illusions of power, Fillion, Leaf, and Willow must battle ever shifting images and perceptions––a necessity if they are to reboot their generation and save the community they swore to protect.

The future meets the past in this thrilling conclusion to The Biodome Chronicles, leaving behind a final question in the quest for truth.

The hype is real!

I’ve been silently, patiently, oh so patiently, waiting for Gamemaster for the past 2 years and finally, FINALLY, it’s here. The conclusion to one of the most unique concepts is set to grow your feelings from the tiniest of seeds, shine its holy light upon them, watch them grow into something strong and proud and then burn them to the ground. It’s thought evocative, emotionally wrenching and bitter sweet. It’s everything I wanted and so much more. A perfect conclusion that lets you wanting more. I loved every second of it.

I am SOOOO much trying to keep everything chill, not to spoil much. It’s difficult. It’s difficult not to find myself pausing whatever I’m doing and thinking about the experience I’ve had reading Gamemaster. And growling at Jes for being so evil!

If you’ve loved the series so far you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t read any of the previous books yet and find yourself thirsty for something that goes against the current Young Adult trends then go ahead and give The Biodome Chronicles a try. Totally. Worth. It.

* I received an ARC from Jesikah in return for a honest review*

Wauw, what an epic conclusion to a fabulous story. It picks up a few years after elements, and straight on you are sucked back into the story.

I love those series, it is so unique and wonderfully written. The ending however, ripped my hart out, but i loved every bit of it!

#1 Legacy ★★★★☆
#2 Elements ★★★★☆
#3 Gamemaster ★★★★★

My eyes are still wet from crying.

Heroes only exist because villains do.

Gamemaster was EVERYTHING and more, an amazing conclusion to The Biodome Chronicles. I'm trying to collect my thoughts but I FEEL SO EMOTIONAL. This was my favorite book of the series, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. The pacing, conflict, plot twists, character development, resolution, and all the different plot points coming to a realization was all a fantastic experience. I admit, the last few chapters and the ending were so emotional for me, I couldn't hold back my tears. I CRIED FOR YOU, NEW EDEN. I AM SLAIN.

God doesn’t personally harm his creation. He allows trials and tribulations to test his subject’s faith. A psychopath’s explanation to victim-blame and control the masses through fear-driven devotion.

I am truly shocked at the uniqueness of this series, not only in concept, but also in execution. Some parts were shaky in the first two books I admit (mostly the slow pacing, plus reading from Coal/Lyn's pov bored me), however those issues resolve and ultimately dissipate in Gamemaster. We have action upon action upon action. Loss, society, depression, manipulation, alienation, toxic masculinity, scandal, slavery, feminism, sexuality, identity, coming of age, friendship, love. WHAT DOES THIS BOOK NOT COVER?! I was overcome with awe countless times as I read the underlying messages, shining light on the toxic ideologies of society, the world, ourselves - and how we can and should be better. We deserve more than that.

Are you ready to discover what is real?

HONOR. Honoring the human spirit and matters of the heart. Your image, other's opinions, the rules set by society, money, power - it's all an illusion that fades away in time, as we all fade away. Honoring yourself is real. Honoring others is real. Living a life that truly makes you feel happy is the realest you can get, because all we have is this moment in time, right now. Life is a game, and we are the gamemasters of our own stories. We can choose to let the game eat us alive and live a hollow existence, or we can do something about it. Stop playing God, and do not allow others to play God over you. Look deeper than the surface, shatter the illusion. Take control of your reality.

Love has little to do with romance and everything to do with honor.

I have had the utmost pleasure reading this wonderful story, and it makes me happy that The Biodome Chronicles is breaking the mould, giving the YA genre much needed substance and meaning that far surpasses the majority of its predecessors. I highly recommend this series.

I received an ARC of Gamemaster in exchange for an honest review.

I've loved The Biodome Chronicles from the get-go. Legacy was intriguing and the concept was unique. Elements only served to draw me in further. And now, Gamemaster, the conclusion. And what a glorious conclusion it was.

Or, in best summary, the happy ending that ripped my heart out.

We pick up three years after the events of Elements and immediately there is a great deal more tension in Gamemaster. This is possibly the most serious of the series, but I feel like the deeper meaning between the pages was stronger. Jesikah wove the conclusion of her series beautifully, tying up all the loose ends and answering the ever haunting question - Are you ready to discover what's real?

I don't have enough words for how beautiful it is to see this series conclude, but also how heart-wrenching. I've grown so attached to the characters, world, and their story that seeing this final arc definitely leaves behind a touch of book hangover. But in the best possible way. The Biodome Chronicles make you think, make you ask questions, make you search for the deeper meaning. We need more books like these.

Five stars isn't enough. Highly recommend. You need these books in your life! <3

DISCLAIMER: I am a member of the Advance Reader team for this book! This review is only for the ARC edition and contains my honest opinions!

This was a fantastic ending to a great series. Once I started reading, I could not stop. I HAD to know what would happen next! Anyone who has been following this series from the beginning will definitely be thrilled with this final installment! The ARC edition does contain small errors, such as missing words, but that was few and far between.

(Does anyone else think we need another novella collection to answer some lingering questions about certain characters, or just have more from The Biodome Chronicles in general? I do! :D)

A satisfying conclusion to a groundbreaking series.

Sundin's eco-punk trilogy, The Biodome Chronicles, broke new ground in YA dystopian sci-fi, portraying a grim future interspersed with scenes from a harmonious medieval biodome culture.

Now Gamemaster concludes the series by shattering what was left of that ground. Sundin is not afraid to veer from the tropes of this genre and entertainment in general, giving her characters license to forge the world they want to live in, rather than be trapped in social mores. I'd elaborate on this, but I don't want to give away any spoilers here. Suffice it to say, this book presented a refreshing take on love and social roles.

At the same time, Sundin nails every single satisfying scene in this book, right up to the climax and beyond. The emotional journeys of these characters, especially Fillion, are both heart-wrenching and convincing.

In addition to being sci-fi with a medieval flair, this book is also part mystery, part sweet romance (a little steamy at times, but nothing explicit). Perhaps in part to alleviate some of the edge-of-seat tension, Sundin punched up the humor in this book compared to the rest of the series, especially in the scenes with Mack. I couldn't eat or drink while reading Gamemaster for fear of snorting food up my nose.

Complex enough to be mentally stimulating, but simple enough to keep me turning the pages, Gamemaster is one of the best books I've read in the last decade, and possibly the best series-concluding book I've ever read. While I'm sad The Biodome Chronicles is finished, I'm also excited to see what Sundin has in store for readers next--whatever it is, I'll be eating it up.

Gamemaster is brilliant; there is no other way to describe it.

I’m not trying to sugarcoat. Honest. I’m just a fan and simply put, Jesikah's writing, the characters and her assertiveness in telling the story are consistently elevating with each instalment of the series.
I love detail and visual writing, and the visuals she paints are telepathically and emotionally stunning. The fine brush strokes/details make everything she describes so ferociously real.
The opening had such a Dan Brown "Angels and Demons" feel to it, and that is meant as a massive compliment. Completely had me gripped. That being said, the overwhelming emotion when I finished
was a sense of disappointment that it was over. I want more, and that is a good thing, as I’m sure other fans of Jesikah's writing/series will feel the same.

So, book 3 was perhaps the hardest to get through. The mind games were insane, the manipulation cranked to the max, the betrayal at an all-time high. Like, I literally struggled with whether to read it all as quickly as possible, or curl up in a ball until it was all over, lol. But seriously worth reading through to the end. Just beautiful.

The only thing that I have mixed feelings about is the final epilogue. While meaningful and sentimental, I kind of hate endings where we go past "happily ever after" to "life goes on". Something about closing that final chapter on the lives of the characters the author made me love, even to show that they lived a good life and left a positive mark on the world they left behind, makes me sad. So if you're like me, don't read that last epilogue.

Otherwise, an incredible serious with a poignant and timely message.

In this satisfying conclusion to the Biodome Chronicles, the author weaves a tale of death, betrayal, intrigue, redemption, and love. I received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a review, and I am honored to report that I have enjoyed this series immensely. It will be quite difficult to say goodbye to these characters! It is rare to find a book series that can be described as edgy and unique while also being emotionally moving and sincere. Sundin accomplishes this with impeccable research with the technical aspects, beautiful descriptions of human relationships and ceremony, and adept use of language in the character dialogue. I highly recommend Gamemaster, but be sure to read the other books in the series first!

“Are you ready to discover what’s real?”

Gamemaster is the fourth and final book in The Biodome Chronicles series, and personally it was my favorite. The entire series was breathtakingly beautiful. As much as I didn’t want this story to end, I felt such closure when it did. I absolutely loved this entire series an I will forever scream from the rooftops everyone should read this story. While reading you can imagine the scenes in your mind and you can almost smell the flowers and the breeze as it goes by 🍃. You absolutely fall in love with all the characters. I feel like I know them. I’m so sad this series is over but boy oh boy was it an awesome ride! Thank you Jesikah for one hell of a story 🖤🍃🍁

Such an epic conclusion to a great series! I received an ARC for a honest review, and I can honestly say that I loved this book! The entire series was engaging, original, and pulled on your emotional heart strings. It also has a main antagonist that you just love to hate. I'm so happy to finally know the ending and yet so sad that it's over, pretty sure a little piece of me died when I read the last word. Such a beautifully written book, I would most definitely recommend this book/series as a must read!

I had to leave Frodo and Sam at the gates of Mordor for a week and a half so I could read my copy of Gamemaster. I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes at Mack and Fillion and their banter.

At the beginning of the book, Fillion was driving me batty with his moods, but the reason for them was revealed later. Didn’t see that coming!

The resolution was a bit startling. In some ways, I was fine with it, but in some ways I wasn’t quite satisfied. Still a great book, though, and an excellent read!

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I didn’t want the series to end

I flew through the first two books, they were that engaging. For me the third book slowed down a bit, since there was a lot of character building, but not enough that I didn’t want to finish the series. The fourth book I slowed down on, but mostly because I knew the series was coming to a close and I didn’t want it to. I loved the world, the characters and the overall plot. I hope someday Amazon or another streaming company will pick it up and make a series because I would love to see this brought to life on screen.

Book 4 in the Biodome Chronicles series

Hope...Life...Loss...Truth...Love...New Future...Family...Community...

The characters in this series continue to exist as pawns on a chessboard with nonstop moves and countermoves, but things aren't always what they seem. The overall game twist within the biodome and modern worlds creates an action-packed gripping plot for this final book. I have loved the personal growth and change among the characters throughout the entire series. The world building has been very descriptive.

The Biodome Chronicles stand out for the author's willingness to explore and shatter the boundaries YA sci-fi. And as the conclusion of the series, in Gamemaster, Jesikah Sundin brings her stories to a stunning conclusion. The author seamlessly blends futuristic and medieval worlds into a compelling, coherent narrative and breathes life into characters that jump from the pages.

Fast-paced, exciting, and complex, Gamemaster is a worthy and rewarding ending for the series that I've loved!

They aren't horrible but they get more boring with each progressive book. To be honest by the end I was hoping Fillion turned out to the villian just for a bit of change from the Hanley as monster theme. The one thing I never got was how was Fillion "smarter" than Hanley and he couldn't win? Ever? As a character Fillion sucks. He is just too woe is me to be a main character. OCD complete don't write about Fillion again so I don't have to read it. Please and thank you!

The fourth and final book of The Biodome Chronicles, Gamemaster, was incredible!

There are 4 POVs: Fillion, Leaf, Lynden, and Willow Oak. Twists and turns were everywhere - I was white-knuckling it the entire book there was so much tension! Completely binge and swoon-worthy.

I will say this has to have one of the best book/series endings I’ve ever read. I was completely wrecked by this book in the best possible way.

Series summary review

Overall I really liked this series. It held my interest throughout. I thought it was an interesting choice to use book 3 to hone in on some of the other characters, but it left you wanting more of them throughout book 4 but you didn't get back to them. I was disappointed with how it played out with the main villain. It was too abrupt. It felt like the rest of the book, although well written, felt like you were in a rush to finish it up.

This was an amazing conclusion to this series. All of the suspense that built in the first two books came to a heart-rending climax in this one. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and then some! The last chapters had me smiling through tears, as they were sad and happy at the same time.

This is definitely a series I will go back and read again in the future.

This entire series was so well written. The author wove together an amazing, believable story. I read this series in a little over a week. This was probably the best one. Reading of Filion's insecurities and Willow's strength drew me and didn't want to let go. I'm sure this is a series I will re-read. It's definitely the best dystopian series I've read so far. The final chapter slayed me though.

Beautiful conclusion of the series.

The characters have experienced so much growth throughout the entire series, and you can really feel that in this final installment. Yes sometimes some of them behave a bit strangely, but knowing all they have been through, it's really understandable and more of an insight in their coping mechanisms and evolution from teenagers to adults than it is irrational behaviour as such. What I also really liked, as in the other books, is to see how respectfully everyone treats each other in general in New Eden, also in their relationships (well, most of the time at least). Yes, it's a bit over the top and rather old-fashioned at times, but especially in contrast to the Outside, it becomes so clear that honour and respect are two values that we should still give an important place in our society today as well.

The only thing that bothered me a little is that, of all the seeds that are planted, of all the things that happen underneath and in the background, certain things never seem to come to light. For example, some of the characters realise something at one point, but the story doesn't seem to come back to it later. Whereas, as a reader, I am just curious as to how everything is intertwined and what conspiracies were involved. A lot of it you do discover bit by bit as a reader, but some questions remained somewhat unanswered in my head. On the other hand, some things seemed to happen rather suddenly, and were over very quickly, while as a reader you did not really think that was possible to happen so suddenly. Or maybe it was because of some underlying issues that had passed me by, that's also possible. I absolutely do not want to imply that the story is superficial, far from it. There is clearly a lot of thought put into everything, and a lot of depth is created (which is something I really appreciate in books). But perhaps some elements of that depth could have been clarified in a more explicit way, then it would have been even better in my opinion.

And as for the ending, I could not imagine a better one. A mix of a happy ending with somewhat heavier elements that are closely related to events that took place just before the end, it's just a perfect combination.

Don't forget to read the epigraphs, each time they fit together so well with the chapter that follows. These were just perfect.

Thank you Jesikah Sundin for immersing me in yet another beautifully crafted world with wonderful characters, without it being all too perfect. It definitely made me think about the contemporary society we in live in today as well, about things we should value more or stuff we might need to be more cautious about. I've happily lost myself in these books for several hours 🤩

I received an advanced copy of this book for review.

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, in order to live, something must die, but death gives way to the resurrection of new life."

ONE OF THE BEST ENDINGS I EVER READ IN MY LIFE.

The final book if the Biodome Chronicles, we read how Fillion fights for the right of every people in New Eden Township, giving them the freedom they deserved for once and for all.

This is a big emotional roller coaster ride. The intensity never leaves the book as I read it. Each character development hits as I see Willow Watson grows to be a feisty, strong woman, fighting for everyone.

This book is a bit revolutionary as each character use their skills to reveal all the secret Hanley Nichols has to keep. I make questions as I go and get answers in a dark way.

I love how I managed to finish this book. A year ago, I struggled finishing the first book because I was not close with the environment but as the series go, I think how I much I will miss these characters.

I wish this series will never end but all things has a beginning and an end and right now, this series was given an ending it deserves.

Thank you author for making this series. It made me pissed off, hyped, cried, but it made me laugh and smiled till the very end. What a medieval SciFi book this is.

Hope to hear more about these characters as they embark a new journey in their lives.

This series will always be one of my favorites and I will treasure them always in my heart.

This work will always deserve 5 stars from me.
