Mundo omegaverse.

NO. NO. Y NO.
The first volume was a bit meh, but man, it really picked up in the next two! The last two volumes are far from the typical Alpha x omega story and I admit i cried more than once.
(Trigger Warning: r*pe, depression, etc.) (Complete review vol.1 to 3)
This gave an impact, and I like that. I thought it was gonna be dark or something (which it was, plus I was actually terrified that it'll be too dark and it will affect my mental health. I'm super empathetic and an overthinker after all lol), but like the thought that you're fated to be with someone but it's too late or that you're already in love with someone, those kinds of situations made me enjoy this omegaverse so much. It really let's you realize that being fated partners doesn't generally mean that they're the only one that can make you happy and satisfy you.
Just my take, it might be because fated partners are also involve by their second genders (alpha, omega, beta, and etc.), so it's primarily on instincts (or so we called animalistic tendencies). This world does also see omegas as rare but the lowest of the low. It just mirrors the reality of our world (especially since we also have some hierarchy between genders in our society).
Ok, for the characters, I love them all. Every one of them grew into mature/sane individuals that I'm so proud of. For the illustrations, everything is also amazing, the storyboarding too! Like WOW, the artist has experiences for sure. I can really tell that the artist put a lot of thought into the panels, trying to evoke the right emotions at the right times. In conclusion, this manga exceeded my expectations and has portrayed realistic emotions well.
Going to be very real here, the first time I tried to read this I dropped it. The initial plot made me sick and I just didn't want to give this more of my time. For some reason I kept it on my to read list, forgot about how much I hated it, and tried to read it again, which led me to hate it again... But for some reason this time, I decided to go through it and finish the whole story, and it was worth it. Yes, the events from the main couple past are bad, but that's the foundation for how the story develops and it becomes interesting because of it. It's not that it's badly writen, it's shocking and disgusting but that reaction is probably what the author intended in the first place.
Look forward to the other 2 volumes, I appreciated them.

Deliciously tropey omegaverse that still manages to subvert some of the expectations around fated lovers, while embracing other tropes to their fullest. This has heavy dubcon and noncon elements to it, but that just makes me like it more.
i absolutely 100000% with all my heart love shounen no kyoukai. it was one of my very first introductions of omegaverse, when i came across an online only magazine anthology called bboy omegaverse towards the end of 2016. since then, i've been following this story, chapter by chapter, for over 3 years. 2 volumes of this beautiful series has been released and finally akabeko has blessed us w/ 2 chapters of volume 3 thus far.
so what am i doing re-reading vol 1 again (actually this is my third re-read, shhh)? BECAUSE MEMORY LANE OF COURSE. oh the subtle stuff easily overlooked and after reading the newest chapters, 13 and 14, going back and reading the 1st 6 chapters in this volume OH MY HEART. i can't. akabeko didn't half ass anything, she knew - even if not 100% at the time - she at least knew in what direction and how she wanted to take this story from the get go.
i don't need to explain the deets, because shounen no kyoukai should have already been checked off your list of "to read" if omegaverse stories are/were your thing. but basically you have these young kids who are straight up immature (some way more than others, though kaoru we can all heartily agree is a resounding exception) and lack real life experiences and they are put in a situation where they learn real quick, life's kind of an ass, and what you do and how you treat people DOES have long-term consequences for you and everyone else involved. yuka is all of us. kaoru is who we want to be. taiga is an ass, but as middle schoolers we were all assholes. not to the extent as taiga (i hope) but in vol 2 and chapter 14, taiga does regret his actions. easy for us to judge him while sipping our tea, but the guy was a) a prick arse middle schooler who thought he was tough shit but actually dumb shit with skewed rationality and no care of consequence whilst in heat by his fated pair (unbeknownst to anyone, even to him, until it was too late). due to youth and ignorance (and being an asshole let's face it), he didn't know any better. reading about adult taiga and then reading back to his childhood days, i have a better understanding of his character and dare i say, sympathy for him.
yuka grows so much in vol 1 in such a short time, and it breaks my heart. i felt so sorry for him, i honestly teared up during some parts. kaoru's determination to FuCk fate and fight it straight on, god talk about feels. it's beautiful. the angst, the darkness, the foreshadowing, the lessons learned, the mistakes made, the regrets, the realization things will never be the same - for better and for worse.
like i said, reading the latest chapters and then re-reading vol 1 just punches me in the heart all over again. i fucking love this series. anyways, read and feel. til the next vol ~
Damn... this is an Omegaverse story and volumn one is dark Yuka finds out he is an Omega and classmates start to attack him or try to anyway but his childhood friend ,Kaoru saves him and they become mates. Taiga one of Yuka's friend was one of the classmates who were trying to rape him. I really hated what he said about Omegas. Great story it get better thought on to volume 2.
Wooow, this was a rollercoaster of emotions, the ending of the second volume was amazing, super happy with the ending. Really recommend it if you want to suffer a little hahaha.
