Aunque para muchos la historia de "Ghostgirl" es mala y aburrida,a mi parecer es una historia linda y entretenida,quizá no sea la mejor pero tampoco por eso es la peor.Es una lectura bastate ligera y entretenida para pasar el rato.

Compared to the main 3 works, this was more of a regular cutesy story and nothing more. It's very Christmasy, just something to enjoy over the festivities. There weren't any surprises, as it's sort of like a retake of Dickens story, but with Charlotte and the gang instead. There were still some cute moments. Charlotte trying to befriend Scarlet is nice. Some memories of the past from Charltte and Scarlet are sad. The detail of the present at the end was cute, but I was expecting it. And the whole thing about the live burial and the funeral home convention was rather fun I must admit. But I expected every single thing in the story. I was never afraid for the kids in the Other World, nor did I expect Charlotte to remain alive.

Aunque muchos pensábamos que algo así no volvería a pasar, la chica fantasma está de vuelta, de formas bastante especiales.
La existencia de Charlotte se ha convertido en la rutina adquirida de una fantasma más con pasado optimista y triunfador. Su etapa como becaria en el Más Allá la tiene tan retenida que la mayoría del tiempo las cosas ya no le sorprenden. Y es que estar muerto tiene sus ventajas, a su manera, pero también un montón de desventajas más para quien extraña los recuerdos de cuando hubo vida.
Este título es un, digamos, especial navideño para dejarnos ver más de Charlotte y los detalles de la vida después de la clase de Muertología, que tantos comentarios despertó.
Se acerca la temporada navideña en el Más Allá, muy al estilo de los cuentos de temporada narrados por voces serias y profesionales en la tele, pero la vida no deja de inquietar a nuestra ghostgirl, no deja de compararse por sí sola con la muerte, de darle esa chispa que todo muerto necesita pero que pertenece a la actitud de un vivo. Charlotte se siente detenida, se ha adaptado a la forma en que corren las cosas allá y a su nueva “vida” junto a su novio Eric.
Y es así como sin saberlo, un simple deseo antes de dormir se convierte en realidad gracias a esta general y poderosa magia navideña que envuelve las existencias.
Charlotte despierta, con un sentimiento de recuerdo en todo el cuerpo. De vuelta en su ciudad y su escuela, con la gente que conocía y la forma en que todo solía ser allá en los comienzos de toda la historia, pero de frente a la temporada navideña. Scarlet, Petula y Damen vuelven a ocupar parte de su mente, pretendiendo de nuevo todo lo que hay por hacer sobre esas tormentosas acciones pendientes antes de morir y que aquel osito de goma y el portazo le arrancaron en un simple suspiro.
Aquel que aprecie la historia debe saber que ésta corre en igual medida entre lo normal y lo anormal, que la mitad del tiempo las cosas parecerán no tener lógica alguna gracias a la mezcla del mundo de los vivos y el de los muertos y la forma en que funcionan, un notorio choque de posibilidades físicas y visuales.
Y aunque en este libro en especial sea ése el mayor problema de compresión, y su punto negativo, hay que saber a qué nos enfrentamos. Muchas cosas se niegan y luego están ahí, se explican y se hacen de forma contraria, a pesar de toda justificación. Y deben saber que aquello que afecta este detalle es parte importante para entender lo que sucede sin descolocaciones bruscas, jalones de cabello o relecturas múltiples de fragmentos poco sencillos. Eso y la friísima presencia de algunos personajes que se creían rehabilitados (punto dividido para la serie completa).
Pero el punto positivo de la historia viene de la propia justicia, de los personajes secundarios que nos dejan seguir viendo el Más Allá mientras Charlotte da sus paseos por el Aquí. La forma en que, a pesar de caer en el más recurrente cliché de las historias navideñas, intentan recuperar lo que tenían y volver a ser lo que eran antes en medio de una amenaza contrarreloj. Los demás becarios de Muertología nos siguen mostrando sus maravillosas personalidades, perfectas para sus sobrenombres impuestos al morir.
Es especial de navidad consigue hacerse espacio entre los títulos anteriores muy en sentimiento de la temporada, con sus peculiares reflexiones y descripciones surreales.
Charlotte tendrá que superar una vez más sus sentimientos y la forma en que la inundan los pensamientos de esperanza, o al menos intentarlo, porque para sorpresa de muchos la amenaza parece principalmente suya.
Uno pensaría que estando muerto son muy pocas cosas las que se pueden perder, pero cuando la vida se pone en el camino, los conflictos de intereses y corrección no faltan, aunque se desconozcan.
Canción de navidad nos devuelve lo que muchos creíamos finalizado, es un pase nuevo y seguro a la vista dividida de un personaje fantasma y sus aventuras todavía existentes. Una historia conformada por detalles mayores.
Charlotte y compañía se reúnen de nuevo para una tarjeta de temporada, y de paso vivir, por más extraño que eso parezca para alguien que está muerto.
Después de todo, es cuando más tiempo hay por delante.

Novela de fantasía infantil juvenil + 12 años, ambientada en la época navideña y con fantasmas. Es la típica historia de instituto, chica marginada por las chicas populares y ella bebiendo los vientos por el novio de la chica más popular del instituto. Lo que tiene de original, es que la chica está muerta, es un fantasma ( no es un spoiler, ya que el título del libro lo dice GHOSTGIRL “chica fantasma”). Este libro es el número cuarto de la serie, por lo que sí te spoilea parte de lo que pasa en los primeros libros, en este caso no me importó porque ayuda a entender la trama.
Es una re interpretación del clásico “Canción de Navidad de Charles Dickens” , ella vuelve a la vida, gracias a un deseo navideño y la visitarán tres fantasmas amigos suyos para tratar de que vuelva con ellos.
La protagonista es una persona con baja autoestima, que insiste en ser amiga de personas que la desprecian, normalizando estas situaciones, por miedo al abandono, con traumas familiares y experiencias previas de rechazo. Se rebaja a hacer lo que sea para que la tengan en cuenta, los que ella considera sus "amigos" y no lo son. Y olvidándose de sus verdaderos amigos.
Quizás sería de más interés y disfrute para alguien más joven.

Una buena historia, aunque no me queda claro si es una continuación de la saga o simplemente una historia extra.
A mucha gente no le gusta esta saga y puedo entender sus razones, pero no es mi caso. Charlotte, Scarlet y los demás son para mí unos viejos amigos con los que reunirme, por lo que siempre me lo paso bien leyéndolos. Me encanta la capacidad de Tonya Hurley de llevar a sus personajes al extremo, especialmente a Petula y las Wendys, con un cliché exagerado que te provoca náuseas y carcajadas a la vez.
Sí que es verdad que este libro llega un momento que se hace algo repetitivo, por los intentos constantes de los amigos de Charlotte de traerla de vuelta y algunos diálogos demasiado largos. Pero por lo demás me ha gustado mucho, especialmente las últimas páginas y el final. Los finales de estos libros siempre me fascinan. Por no hablar de las reflexiones Navideñas, que son una pasada y encajan a la perfección con los hechos que se desarrollan.
Ahora quiero leer Día de Muertos, aunque lo tengo difícil porque no se encuentra en las librerías y hay que pedirlo u.u

Este sin duda es una de las reinterpretaciones de los cuentos de Scrooge mejor hechas, se puede apreciar la misma base, pero con tramas completamente diferentes… y vaya que esta da un giro de 180°.
Por alguna extraña razón, me pareció una historia bastante acertada con la vida real ya que, si bien la navidad puede ser de las mejores festividades para disfrutar, también puede ser demasiado nostálgica y aquí es muy fácil encontrar este detalle, de hecho, la nostalgia es el elemento base para el desarrollo de esta nueva travesía de Charlotte.
Nuevamente, mi problema fue un poco el olvido del desarrollo que habían adquirido ciertos personajes, pero estos son opacados por la forma a desarrollarse la historia, ¿se imaginan tener una segunda oportunidad en la vida? Claramente este “borrón y cuenta nueva” implica estos cambios drásticos en las personalidades de estos personajes, esto permitió llevar a cabo un enfoque diferente en el cual uno de los temas más relevantes son la manera en la que las acciones de uno mismo desencadenan eventos relacionados con otras personas involucradas de manera directa o indirecta en la vida de uno.
Aquí lo que me desesperó a sobremanera fue un tanto la terquedad de Charlotte por querer estar viva, aun después de lo que atravesó en el resto de los libros, pero, este aspecto a pesar de todo me resultó interesante ya que igual toca las fibras sensibles por seguir aferrándose a un pasado.
El final sin duda fue mi favorito, oculta demasiadas lecciones aplicables al día a día, asimismo, me pareció muy bella la manera en la que la historia concluye y más debido a que nos brinda un poco del toque amoroso/humorístico del mundo en general de esta serie.

Que decir de Ghostgirl??? Es una historia entre divertida, fresca, moderna y entretenida, en ocasiones puede rayar la monotonía, pero Charlotte y sus amigos son chicos muy comunes, con problemas comunes (salvo por estar muertos) lo que lo hace más llamativo y hace que te sientas cómodo leyéndolos, te hace sentir parte de la historia, siempre seguiré leyendo a Charlotte de manos de Tonya, siempre, por que me encanta, simplemente la amo

I have forgotten all things happened in the previous books. Thanks to the author who rewrote important line in first few chapters. So I did not get lost. This book is still about Charlotte and her life after death Including all the ghosts, Scarlet and Petula.
The story is a little bit dull. The only interesting part is when they told me about all things that were offered by a mortuary. Those pages are totally hilarious. But who would enjoy such service when you are already dead. But who know :)

En mi opinión la historia de este libro es un poco triste por que narra sobre el pasado, de Charlotte "La chica fantasma" el cual en mi opinión me pareció un poco triste y se ve que antes ella era muy solitaria y si amigos.

Este sí es malísimo. Sinceramente, no le encuentro sentido y me parece totalmente innecesario. Parece la misma trama de antes, casi que con el mismo problema y final. Una lectura horrible la verdad.

Es un libro que se lee rapido, para los que sois fans de la saga resultara muy entretenido y a mi personalemnete me ha encantado de principio a fin pese a que le reconozco su fallos argumentales y he echado un poco de menos el protagonsimo que solía tener antes Scarlet pero aun así la versión del cuento que ha escrito Tonya resulta ser original a su manera, ha sabido mantener su forma de escribir y mezclar los detalles del cuento de Dickens con cosas de su propia cosecha para que las paginas se pasen volando y ese ¿fin? que vuelve a aparecer al final del epilogo vuelva a dejarnos con la duda de si aquí se acaban las aventuras de Charlotte o habrá algo mas, en cualquier caso, ya se que libro voy a releer estas navidades.

Siapa yang mengira ucapan yang terlontar dari mulut Charlotte saat kesal menjadi kenyataan, Harusnya Charlotte ingat keinginan yang terlontar walau tanpa sengaja, apa lagi saat Natal bisa terwujud.
Mr Brain dalam kelasnya pernah memberitahukan bahwa Natal adalah satu-satunya waktu dalam setahun ketika pintu antara dunia arwah dan dunia kehidupan terbuka. Hingga bukan tidak mungkin saat Charlotte mengucapkan keinginannya, bersamaan dengan terbukanya pintu kedua dunia.

Well, without of doubt this is the worst book of the series, really, WTF was that?
Ok, not only this book was pointless, it was STUPID.
It uses the "it's a wonderful life" and "A christmas carol" formula, but it feels so forced and out of place.
And this story it just comes out of nowhere, like, why make it about christmas!? ok, the third one takes place on february and it has a love theme, but, it wasn't all around the holiday, because it would be cheesy, boring and even more predictable that these books already are.
I just don't get why suddenly this books are about holidays, because after this is the day of the dead one (I don't remember a thing about that one so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt) but, what's up with that, like, they were meant to be like holiday special books or something? did Tonya Hurley right before writing this book was like "Hummm, let's see... what was the last book about?... Oh yeah! Valentines day! ok, then I'll write one about christmas!!!!" I really don't understand this...
But ok, the last book ended up in a decent note, it even was an ok book, the characters evolved, en even, they managed to be most of them genuinely likeable, but in this, that was DESTROYED, and it doesn't make any sense de reason why, Charlotte is an pathetic, selfish, annoying again, Petula is an egomaniac without any good in her, Damen is bland and boring, and the Wendys.... Well, they are still the same, just maybe a little more stupid.
Ok not everyone was awful, I mean, the cool sassy Scarlet that I love was back, which was nice, Prue and Pam are also like in the first book where they have a PERSONALITY, and they were more easy to identify, and Eric was likeable and frankly, I think that mostly everything that he did was justified (except a detail that I would get into later)
But ok, how did we passed to some structured characters that evolved and grew up into they straight up opposite? Well...
Charlotte was BY FAR the worst character of this book.
If she was awful in the first book with her selfish attitude and the way she treats the people that love her, here, she was just despicable, she was a frickin' monster! like, she got over Damen finally, but then suddenly she likes him again... Seriously? and they way she suddenly hates everyone and everything it's just abhorrent.
And actually, I think that she deserves her impopularity and being alone.
Not just because she treats like shit the people who care and love her, she also idolize this persons in a really pathetic, crazy, creepy, desperate and even disgusting way.
Ok I know that they are "popular" but having a shrine of them and stalking them won't make you their friend.
And why she is so desperate about this again? this just came out of nowhere, like she was stressed and she had an argue with Eric, and she gets angry.
Ok I guess that she was tired and irritable, but the thing that gets in my nerves is the fact that she won't hesitate a second of leaving all her responsibilities, her friends, her boyfriend and heck even her parents (who are nonexistent in this book) just to go after people who don't give a shit about her.
I LOATHED HER in this book, in the last one, she was ok even nice, in the second one she was fine, in the first one she was a pain in the ass and in this one it's just the most despicable character I ever read, even more than any villain, Why? because she is the main character, she is the one on the cover, the whole book revolves around her, and is infuriating in everything she does, and even when she realises she was wrong and she didn't appreciate what she had it just felt... wrong... she was so stupidly selfish that is not believable anymore now that she appreciates what she has.
So she was shit, how terrible was the rest? Well...
Scarlet, yeah, as I said her sass was back and I liked it, but.... I don't know going back to that character feels wrong, we had seen different parts in her personality and going right back to the start it kinda feels like it's taking 50 steps back instead of moving on.
Petula was heartless again and she wasn't even funny, she was really unlikeable I really disliked every time I was reading anything about her.
Damen was boring in this book, I mean, it was better than in the last one, but nothing really remarkable.
But I do appreciate her relationship with Scarlet a little bit more.
Eric... ok I liked him, he was again my favorite character, I don't know what I like about him but I really do.
He is just really nice and it kinda makes this books a little more lighter.
And as I said, everything he did was justified except for a tiny small big huge problem.
Her relationship with Charlotte doesn't make sense.
Why he is in love with her? what does make her so special for him? I mean, I don't dislike the couple but, there still nothing that builds this couple in any way, and, even though I like this character, I think that he justs exists so Charlotte can have a boyfriend...
Of course it shows that the author tries to make him work in the story but her relationship feels so artificial... like, ok they are the bad boy and the good girl, it's a cliché but you can work with it, but It doesn't go anywhere, it's even confusing, they don't share any nice moment in the two books that Eric has been on, and that makes this couple work even less
As I said, I don't hate it, when Eric shows that he cares about her is really sweet and Charlotte with anyone but Damen it's kind of a relief.
Prue and Pam are more like in the first book, which made them a little more interesting, Prue was probably the funniest character in this book, but they really don't appear that much and kinda get lost with all the deathology students.
Speaking of which.
They are all names with dialogues, not characters.
Ok, they do some stuff specifical for that character but really, who cares it could have said it any other character and I would have been the same.
And I'm just disappointed in how irrelevant Maddy is in this book, I mean yeah, she flirts with Eric and acts mean, but she doesn't really do anything.
And just quick, the Wendys
Boring.
I mean I guess that's better than annoying but I didn't bother with them in this book, bland, stupid, next.
Another thing that really bugs me is the fact that, the timeline of this book doesn't make sense.

Leaving that aside, this book was so disappointing, the last one had potential and got wasted in a pretty depressing way with this book,I think that there was a big miss opportunity with a new ghostgirl book, like, Charlotte was a teacher now, she had grow up so much since the first book, she was a whole new person, it could have been about that about her life as a teacher, and heck, even maybe a girl who has just died and has the same cling to her past life and does selfish stuff and doesn't care for her new dead friends,Charlotte being on the other side and deal with that, and this hypothetical girl maybe runs away and Maddy tempts her to do selfish stuff and she thinks that Maddy will give her old life again , and Charlotte needs help of her alive friends to get her back and reason with her, and Petula now that is not with the Wendy's anymore, who are her friends? How are things going with Tate?, did she has really got over Virginia? How is now her relationship with Scarlet, they are a little bit more close now, they still hate each other? how could they? but they are so different from each other... they could become friends? they are different as they think they are?
They are so many possibilities and they are all wasted in this piece of garbage.

Ya hace bastante tiempo desde que empecé a leer la por entones trilogía de Ghostgir ¿qué puedo decir? las portadas me enamoraron al igual que su edición y en muchas ocasiones llegue a sentirme identificada con el personaje de Charlotte, por lo que aún reconociendole sus fallos, la saga esta entre mis favoritas. La edición es algo diferente a la de los tres primeros libros pero aun así esta igual de cuidada que las anteriores, las típicas paginas con un dibujo representativo y el fondo negro mas una irreflexión que habían al principio de los capítulos siguen estando presentes.
También seguimos teniendo la misma narración, todo esta contado en tercera persona por un narrador omnisciente y a lo largo de los capítulos no contamos únicamente con la perspectiva de Charlotte, por lo que podremos ver lo que ocurre con los demás personajes y saber como afectan las decisiones de la protagonista a los demás. Todo empieza poco antes de la navidad, esta es la primera vez que Charlotte va a celebrarla estando muerta y hay cosas que la están agobiando por lo que esta algo irritable esos días, tanto que llega a formular el deseo de no estar muerto y milagrosamente acaba despertándose en el escenario de su muerte, aunque en esta ocasión está viva y no es el primer día de clase si no que solo quedan unos pocos días para navidad. En un principio se siente algo desorientada pero se acaba dando cuenta de que esta realmente viva y el volver a verlo todo como antes consigue que las viejas dudas la asalten, por lo que contando también con el factor de que esta olvidando su vida muerta, Charlotte prácticamente esta en su ciudad como si su muerte nunca hubiese ocurrido.
Tonya resulta ser original a su manera, ha sabido mantener su forma de escribir y mezclar los detalles del cuento de Dickens con cosas de su propia cosecha para que las paginas se pasen volando y ese ¿fin? que vuelve a aparecer al final del epilogo vuelva a dejarnos con la duda de si aquí se acaban las aventuras de Charlotte o habrá algo más.

Se me hizo entretenido aunque hay mejores en la saga. Tal vez porque está basado en la época de navidad y como eso me gusta tal vez hizo que me gustara la historia también. Pero voy a lo importante.
Intenté ver las cosas desde el punto de vista de Charlotte, pero es que se pasa. Es terriblemente egoísta. Es entendible que añore su vida, aunque no entiendo por qué intenta acercarse todo el tiempo a aquellas personas que ni la registran. En la otra vida se hizo de un montón de amigos que comparten su misma situación, ¿por qué entonces dejarlos por gente que le da vuelta la cara a la menor oportunidad? Y sinceramente no me creí su relación con Eric, siento que está terriblemente enganchada con Damen y no hay vuelta de eso. Ninguna de sus tres amigas logró convencerla de volver luego de revivir, pero bastó ver dos segundos a Eric para decidir quitarse la vida y regresar con los demás, siendo que pasó el libro entero tras Damen. Se me hacía obvio que Eric ni pintaba ahí si tan fácil fue para ella olvidarlo.
Más allá de estas críticas, disfruté mucho el libro porque se me hace una lectura muy rápida. Noy voy a mentir, las Wendys le dan un gran toque de comedio y Petula es tan asquerosamente mala que es disfrutable.
Bonus: las referencias al cuento de Dickens.

Me falta leer Día de Muertos y rezo para no encontrarme algo como lo de este libro. Para mí, sin duda, el peor que he leído hasta ahora. Hay ciertas ocasiones en las que puedes llegar a empatizar un poco con algunos personajes, pero son tan pocas veces que tampoco se puede decir que transmita nada.
El planteamiento de Virginia, Prue y Pam como fantasmas de la Navidad sí que me ha parecido original y distraído.
Por el resto, las Wendys, Petula y Damen vuelven al punto inicial y son insoportables.
Scarlet ni siquiera es amiga de Charlotte en algún momento. Y Charlotte se presenta de nuevo como alguien ingenua, sin ideas propias, incapaz de reaccionar a absolutamente NADA. Un personaje sin más, que aunque sea la protagonista, no aporta demasiado a la historia, porque todo lo deciden los demás por ella y lo que elige ella misma son cosas egoístas y con las que no se pueden simpatizar. Aunque Charlotte no sepa valorar lo que tiene, no puedo quejarme con ella. Intento comprender sus sueños y lo frustrante que nunca los viera realidad cuando estaba en vida. Esta historia me recordó un poco a Un Cuento de Navidad, donde tres fantasmas te hacen ver en lo que has fallado y como será tu destino, sino cambias de rumbo.
Quiero mucho a Eric, pero es tan cabezota como Charlotte, que son tal para cuál. Damen me agrada más y Scarlet. El bonito gesto que hizo Charlotte con ellos, me conmovió.
La historia es simple, sin embargo me encanta Charlotte y lo fácil como entretenido que es leer sus aventuras.

Ghostgirl: Xmas Spirit may have one of the worst main protagonists I have ever read in a novel. Charlotte is a delusional character who clings to and aspires to be the wrong type of people (I mean, seriously. All the people she looks up to are either mean, manipulative, rude, or stupid). Reading her actions was like watching a trainwreck happening in real life. Finishing this book was such a painful experience. During the last 10% portion of the book, where Charlotte has finally 'learned her mistakes', my brain had been fried so badly that I couldn't even celebrate her 'character development' anymore.
The other books in the Ghostgirl series are pretty enjoyable; but Xmas Spirit just falls short in presenting a main protagonist that young readers can cheer on and look up to.

I liked this book more than the others, although I don't know if it is because this is a reinterpretation of Scrooge's tales and that is a story that I personally like very much.
It is a bit difficult for me to decide if this is a story that is within the general story, that is, if it is a continuation of book 3 or if it only happens before that book begins or if it is just a separate story.
Even so, I liked it a lot, compared to the previous ones, it feels that the story progresses faster and clearly shows this “what if” of charlotte and therefore of the other characters.

En resumen: Libro totalmente innecesario. La historia de Charlotte había llegado a su cierre súper bien en el tercer libro. Este la verdad solo lo leí por curiosidad porque cómo va a ser que ella regrese a la vida solo para morirse de nuevo... Ah, pero todo lo "nuevo" se borró, así que ya no afecta a la historia principal... Yo mantengo el pensamiento que este libro es resultado de la autora queriendo vender más y es una lástima porque los tres primeros los recuerdo con mucho cariño de mi adolescencia.

La disfruté más que la saga. Siguen habiendo hechos que no cuadran como ¿Cómo es que charlotte está tan enamorada de Erick? ¿Por qué sus amigos la reciben de lo más feliz cuando estaba siendo egoísta e iba a dejar que todos ellos desaparezcan?
Al menos en este libro ya no vemos a charlotte siendo tan narcisista, pero sí preocupada en extremo por gradarle a los demás y ser popular.
Es una linda historia para alguien de entre 10 a 15 años👌🏽

Charlotte pide un deseo ''no haber muerto nunca'' y vuelta a empezar. Este libro es como echar a la basura un poco el desarrollo de Charlotte durante toda la saga, de nuevo vuelve a ser una chica egoísta, ahora super empeñada en ser super amiga de Scarlet. Pero me gustó ver más del pasado de Charlotte, donde vivía, como era su ``familia´´, etc. El final aunque este romantizado, me gustó, me pareció muy poético. Muere con las tres personas que más le importan y con las populares llorándole a ella. Sigue siendo una historia muy entretenida.
''Idealizar el pasado es muy sencillo.
