I read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the series about the Russian mob living in Barcelona. Alexei has been living in Barcelona for the last ten years working for the family after leaving his love behind in Russia. When Alexei learns Yulia has come to Spain with her father while he does business with the family, he wants to see her but thinks it would be best if he didn't. When they met at the nightclub, they realize they still have feelings for each other and the chemistry is amazing. Alexei leaves and return home to avoid her. A few days later, Alexei is at his cousin's for dinner when Yulia shows up. They have a heated encounter and try to move on. Yulia knows if she gets close to Alexei again, he will break her heart and they try to keep their distance. Only Yulia gets in trouble and Alexei helps her, adding to their attraction. Things get complicated when Yulia returns to Russia and Alexei must decide if he wants to be with her or stay with the family. I love how they still loved each other. I thought they should have been together, but I understood things wee out of their control. They did have great chemistry and were good together. Another good one in this series.

Although all the books in this Mafia series are good, I really think that “Alexei” is by far the best. Alexei doesn't want to be in Barcelona working for the Russian Mafia but family obligations keep him there. Yulia is the love of his life and he broke her heart when he chose his family over her and left Russia. Yulia arrives in Barcelona on a business trip with her father and runs into Alexei. The chemistry between the two is still crazy intense and undeniable. After all these years, can Alexei convince Yulia to stay? Can Yulia convince Alexei to return to St. Petersburg? Will they give their love a second-chance? “Alexei” provides us with a roller coaster ride of danger, excitement, intrigue, fantastic sex, twists and turns, and sweet romance. A captivating book worth reading.

Working with his cousins and his uncle Evgeni who ran the Barcelona Russian Mafia, the Volkov family. He was to go to man sent to business meeting to wheel and deal and come out successful. He never liked Barcelona and wished he was back in St. Petersburg, Russia with the love of his life, Yulia. One day she came to Barcelona with her father who had to iron out a deal with Evgeni. Alexei was torn up with emotions. He wanted her but knew she would never leave Russia. Yulia still loved Alexei and he loved her. As the days passed theirs was an up and down emotional reunion. Confusing but it made them face their true feelings. An excellent read of possibilities, hope, passion and love.

He Wants Forever.

Loved this mob romance, only down side too short. This is a read around the Volkov mob crime family where Alexie was sent from St. Petersburg with the family business who owned the hottest club Ritmo in Barcelona. 5 years prior he had to leave the love of his life Yulia behind so that she could finish her studies. Now her and her father are in Barcelona, her dad is there to discuss an arms deal with the Volkov family. Alexei wants her to stay in Barcelona and Yulia wants him to go back to St. Petersburg. Will either of them commit and give up each of their careers and family? You will have to read to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC for an honest opinion.

Alexei and Yulia were past lovers who were forced apart by circumstances that neither could control. Yulia wasn't part of the mafia and Alexei couldn't leave it even if he wanted to do so. Five years later they are meeting for the first time. The chemistry between the two main characters was explosive. The love they had for each other was still there even though they fought it.

Although a quick read, this book examines the love of two people that were meant to be together. It was a beautiful story.

The Russian Bad Boys are back! This time around it's Alexei and Yulia. Not wanting to get her injured, Alexei left her behind and now it's five years later and she enters back into his life. This time he's playing for keeps and if the enemy thinks they can go through her to get to him he welcomes the chance because it is what he lives for. This is a fast action-packed romance with drama at every twist and turn. Get comfortable and take a deep breath because you will need it to get through this one! This was my first Ava Bloom's book. I like her writing. It's a sweet second chance love story and Russian Mafia Romance. The storyline is well developed, with twists and turns, despite the fact that it's a short story. I like the two main characters, Alexei and Yulia. I like the HEA.

I really enjoyed this, this is my first read from Ava Bloom. It is short, but it does have a lot packed into it. Russian Mafia, a re-kindled romance, steamy with a lot of action. A really great read.

Once again Ava, you did it! I really enjoyed this book, just like the others; Demitry, Nikolai. Those sexy alpha males are easy to “love”, very committed to their families. Alexei and Yulia were destined to be together from the start, even though family honour was at stake, love in all its different meanings prevailed again.

If you enjoy 😉 suspense, intrigue, hot sexy scenes, sexy alpha males and strong women who won’t take their crap with lotes of integrity, honour, determination and perseverance, then I recommend you read Alexei as well as the rest of the Volkovs clan.

This was a quick but satisfying read, or maybe I was able to read it in one day because I could not put it down. I love me some bad Mafia boys and Alexei did not disappoint and once they know there is one woman that they will love their entire life, that is that. For Alexei that woman was Yulia who he left behind when he moved to Barcelona to join the "family business". When Yulia shows up in Barcelona hoping to re-connect with Alexei, can they overcome their past to find their HEA? I love this series and can say this is one you don't want to miss.
