Kage
The world suffered a drastic change when the power went out on the heels of a viral outbreak twelve years ago. The population was decimated and lives changed in the blink of an eye. Tamar went from a bounty hunter in training to a woman who uses her skill to survive. I'm a stalker of Esther, but I'm new with Cali. So, I was curious what this duet will brings. And whoa... What they brought was marvellous and different. This story is about a survival. Its about that no matter what happens, you need to stay a team. A family. Because only working as one, you can overcome any storm and survive.
I loved insta connection between Kage and Tamar. It was so natural. And also showed that even among debris you can find something unexpected and special.

What a awesome start to a new series. Cali and Esther did amazing job creating a world that could happen to us in the future. Love the chemistry between Kage and Tamar. Cant wait to met the rest of the men and woman of the Peril's End MC.

Twelve years ago a solar flare changed the way everyone on earth lived wiping out all power and leaving those who survived to fight for everything they have. Tamar is a bounty hunter running with her sister and a crew of two on the hunt for a man which will provide a bounty too tempting to resist. When she captures him though she never expected to be joining forces with Kage and his MC. Kage makes a deal with Tamar to work together, it is not easy for Tamar to trust but something about Kage has her taken a chance towards something she never thought she would have, a full life.
Wow. This was unlike any book I have read by the author. I was intrigued and was not sure where the story would go but this is an exciting new series that met every expectation I had. Think Darrel of Walking Dead (no zombies) meets Lara Croft. Excellent.

I always love Ester E Schmidts books and Cali Mackay is new to me. Together they wrote an action packed love story in an original setting, at least for me as I don't read many apocalyptic stories. I was worried about that at first but was sucked in immediately when the action started in the first chapter. I finished the book in afternoon as I couldn't put it down. The attraction between Tamar and Kage turned into the instalove I have learned to expect and adore about Esther's book. As you can see my worries were all for naught because I enjoyed this book immensely.
First in a new series, Yay! Because I would love to see a few other characters get books and see how this group "Changes the World"

I loved this story! Kage was written between Esther E. Schmidt and Cali MacKay and they made an awesome team :) and I can't wait for more from them and this new series :)
This is different from what I've read before by our author, Esther E. Schmidt but it hit the mark on every turn for a good, steamy, filled with action, passion, intense connection not only with our main characters but also we get some connection from our side characters; there's also sad moments, more action, sexy times and finally a happily ever after <3

Tamar and Kage's chemistry was off the charts sexy, dominant, insane sparks and it was HOT as hell ;) These two are strong, both have been through something hard but are both survivors. I also liked the secondary characters, like Dessa (Tamar's little sister) and Lars (Kage's brother) also have crazy chemistry and I hope we get their story too :)
Everyone from the main couple had inner battles to fight even physical battles within their inner circle...
There are several scenes with one particular slime-ball of a side character that wanted me to be able to jump in the page and throttle him, especially after what he did to another side character that I liked, who was also like a second father to Tamar... it hit Tamar hard and I cried for her but she held onto her man, her sister and her newfound friends in Kage's MC brothers and kept going forward to achieve their goal, which was to restore the power and... well, can't spoil everything for you guys, so go check this story out when it comes out on April 24, you won't regret it ;)

While I am not shy about stating my love of Esther's style of writing, Cali was a new to me author so I didn't really know what to expect when I heard they were going to co write a book together but I can honestly say they absolutely nailed it with Kage book and ill definitely be checking out more books from cali in the very near future.
This was a great start to a new series. The storyline kept me hooked because it was different from what I normally read, I love Mc style books and while this does have a Mc in it I loved how it wasn't like most Mc style books and had a doomsday scenario to it.
Kage was hot as hell and rough around the edges which I loved. I love when the female character is strong sassy independent but still has a soft side so Tamar ticked all the right boxes for me. when these two characters come together they are definitely a force to be reckoned with. The chemistry between them was amazing. And we also get to meet some other great character's within in the story. What I loved most about this book was that even in the darkest days when most people would give up hope about everything these characters didn't they fought to survive and managed to keep hope that maybe things could change. Definitely if you love Mc reads with a major twist to the norm get one clicking this book you won't be disappointed.

I follow Esther Schmidt’s work and love her writing style. I was anxious to she how her style translated as co-author. May I state for the record that I Loved this collaboration. Ms. Schmidt and Ms. Mackay have done an amazing job of writing a MC storyline that takes place after the word as we know it has all but collapsed.
The main two characters, Kage and Tamar, are tough as nails bounty hunters, who set out to better their situation in this new way of life. Both are strong willed leaders in their own right but together they make one hell of a Kicka$$ and Take Names team. A team set out to bring a hugely sought after bounty in to justice. But plans often change as Kage and Tamar soon find out. Is the bounty really a bad guy? What’s the truth and who do should they trust?
The plot will take a few twists and turns but the journey these two authors take you on is exciting and action packed with some sexy romance along the way. I don’t do spoilers so I won’t go into the details, but trust me when I say this is a great read and one I highly recommend grabbing up ASAP (you won’t be sorry). Kudos to the authors and I offer them a hardy 2 Thumbs Up for an amazing book. A book that I hope is the first of many to come from this author duo!

Fantastic new series by combined authors Esther E Schmidt and Cali MacKay, its got a fast pace with some action and suspense. Hot main character and a feisty capable female lead. The story is refreshingly new and different from anything either have written before, at the same time both experienced authors bring their knowledge and said experience to the table so what some may worry about it not being as good as other books by these authors is beyond great. It is unique in that I haven't read anything like this before, when people hear virus wiping out hundreds these days you automatically tend to think along zombie lines but this isn't that. I loved the mix of drama, suspense, action and of course the instant spark of interest from the main characters. The build up to the climatic end had me reading faster, there were also a few shocks added into the mix at least one of these had me frowning and screaming at the page. I really hope that this isn't the last story from this MC series, because I definitely need more.

There is nothing I enjoy more that a great female lead character and Tamar is that! Growing up the daughter of a bounty hunter, she already had survival skills before the power went out. The world is a different place, and it truly is survival of the fittest....Along with her sister and two others she is hunting a bounty that could change their lives.
Kage and his brothers are nomad members of Peril's End MC. He has a personal vendetta he is determine to accomplish that began before the world changed. A recently offered bounty can give him the opportunity to do it.
The two come together when the bounty is in both their sights. Can these two work together to get the reward? or is there the opportunity for something even better?
I loved this action packed adventure. There is the perfect mix of alpha males, brotherhood, suspense and romance. It is a great beginning of a new series. I think these authors created a great world.

I'm a huge Esther E Schmidt fan and this book has not changed my mind! Cali MacKay is new to me but the writing is seamless and the story is great!! I wasn't sure what I was going to think of a post-apocalyptic MC book but they far exceeded my expectations! Kage and Tamar are both surviving in a world where half the population has died and electricity is only a memory. The world has descended into chaos and the people left aren't necessarily the good ones. Tamar, a bounty hunter has been one since before everything went down and Kage is the hot, sexy biker who has been an MC member from before. They meet chasing a bounty who's capture will change their life, as long as they work together. Esther's books tend to be a bit on the funny side, but not this one. Kage and Tamar heat up the pages in Esther's usual style and there's plenty to fuel that fire!! This is the first in the series and after you get addicted check out their other novels!! I'm doing that with Cali MacKay for sure!!!

I love Esther E. Schmidt's books! I read without reading what they are about because I just know they are going to be great! I have never read Cali Mackay but I just knew this book was going to be great, and I was right!
I have never read a book like this one and normally wouldn't but omg it's amazing! The bounty hunter/ apocalypse is quite interesting.
I loved how Tamar ad Kage's teams came together working as one. With working with strangers they had to learn to trust one another and become like family.
I can't wait for more of the Peril's End MC! The MC members are an interesting, loyal bunch who I can't wait to learn more about in the future!!

I love Esther E Schmidt books but Cali Mackay is new to me, This MC/Bounty Hunters apocalypse Story is so good I haven’t read a book with this sort of story before but I have to say I so throughly enjoyed it that I can’t wait to see what come next from them both. This is a well written story with strong alpha men who love and protect those they love but the women are just as strong and fierce. From the first time Kate and Tamar me you can tell they have so much chemistry between them, A passionate and emotional story. Hooked from he start love Kate and Tamar.

I absolutely love Esther and read everything she writes, Cali is a new author to me. These two did a fantastic job with this book!!! I don't really read post apocalyptic books, but this one is great! It felt really new and original and I loved the premise. Kage and Tamar are bounty hunters and are both after the same HUGE bounty. They meet and sparks fly and they end up helping each other out. This is such a great story of family, loyalty and survival!! It is a wonderful romance with a twist. I cannot recommend this book enough!!

Esther E. Schmidt and Cali MacKay did a fantastic job on Kage. This is a great start to this series. The story was well written and has a great plot and characters. The book has suspense, action, twists and turns. It had many emotions. I couldn't put this put down. Kage and Tamar were strong characters, leaders. They make a great team. Their connection and chemistry was off the charts strong. This was a great story. I enjoyed it. I highly recommend reading it. It's a 5 star read. Thank you, Esther E. Schmidt and Cali MacKay. Loved this book. From the start you can't help by be drawn into the story. Its a mix of MC and apocalypse world that has everyone fighting to survive. Kage and his brother are out to collect a bounty to seek revenge on the man behind the bounty. Tamara and her team needs the bounty to have a safe place to live. But when the truth comes out about why the bounty is sought after both join forces to stop the evil plans set forth. What are the plans? The answer to this and more questions are for you to read and find out, you wont regret giving this book a chance.

FLOVED it... Esther and Cali have given us a brand new series and boy oh boy is it shaping up to being awesome, if I’m judging the first book right. Danger, action, death, passion and love kept this reader glued to her kindle from page one right through to the very end. In fact I’m now itching for the next in the series so badly right now. Kage is one special hero and Tamaris no fainting violet herself add in an apocalypse, a world changed and the possibility of hope for something better and you have a story that is unique and special. Great job ladies!!!

I am stalker fan of Esther Schmidt but a newbie to Cali Mackay. Once I started, this storyline had me drawn in and I read straight thru and wow I am now a new fan to this duo!
What a love story in an apocalyptic setting. Kage melted my panties and Tamar is my heroine. Cant wait to read Dessa and Lars story! This is an outstanding start to a new MC series with a new twist that you do not want to miss!

You know that feeling when you pick up a new series and you immediately know its going to be epic? Yeah, that would be this book, this series. I loved the world that this book took place in, it was a common trope, just written uniquely.
The characters are amazing, the passion real and bold, and the action was edge of your seat. I loved the mixing of MC, end of the world, and the insta-love. The book was so amazing, I could not ask for more… Okay, I can, more in this series please!!

Loved this book..it is instant attraction between Kage and Tamar, she tries to fight it because she thinks she caused her first lover to die. Kage feels instantly that she is his and he’s not taking no for an answer.
They fight a co-worker and are trying to bring a bounty in for a solar powered house. Kage is doin* it to get to the guy who killed his brother.
They prevail and in the end win .

This is a fabulous start to this new series. Cali and Esther have hit this apocalypse romance of survival out of this world.
I love the rough and tough of Kage and throw in the a sassy heroine and I am hooked. The instant chemistry that they shared was electric. To watch them working together to survive and save the world was outstanding !

I truly enjoyed this book! Very new and different for me but i am so glad I took the chance..action packed survival, a revenge in the making and a love story rolled into one.

Definitely a different type of MC read! This book is well written, suspenseful, exciting and smoldering! What happens when life as you have know it is suddenly turned on it's axis and you have to find a new way of living? What happens when a solar flare wipes out all of electrical devices putting the world in total darkness and brings industry to a complete halt? What happens when in the aftermath, a virus kills most of the population (no there are no zombies in this book...the people just die and stay dead.)?
You try to make it day by day, trying to say alive because there are the bad guys who want to take what little you have and will kill you in the process. Let's not forget about the animals either. This story line is extremely well thought out and will grab you and take you for a ride that will make you wonder if something like this would happen, what would you do? It also takes you on a ride with bounty hunters who seek those who have done something wrong and need to be brought to whatever justice is handed out, but in this particular story, it is a drug dealer who has taken over one of the electrical power plants who wants a man who he had imprisoned to get the grid back up, who escaped and is now being hunted by bounty hunters. The prize...a solar powered house! Two teams are closing in on him and about to capture him.
Tamar has the bounty hunter team that is closest to him and about to capture him when a second team wearing leather vests comes in. The leader helps her to jump a wall where the man they are chasing went through. Kage is impressed by the skills of this woman as he makes his way to the other side of the wall just in time to see her fire her arrow, land on the ground, and have the man arrowed to a tree. Now the fun begins as the two argue over who gets the bounty! Once it is determined between the two of them, agreed upon by their teams (well most of them), they join forces to return the man and collect their prize. But it's isn't that cut and dry as they find out who this man is and what he can do. Decisions are made, attraction grows between Kage and Tamar until they finally unleash the passion they have been withholding. Temperatures rise, and I'm not only talking Kage and Tamar.
This is a wonderfully written story with an exciting story line, one that will have you turning page after page to see what happens next. The characters are wonderfully written and quite well defined.
I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series!

I was drawn into this story from the beginning. I am a big stalker of all Esther's books and Cali Mackay is a new author for me that I will definitely be adding her books to my reading list....This book beginning set in an apocalyptic setting is not something I would never read but BOY I'M I GLAD I READ IT!!!! It exceeded my expectations big time and shared a positive meaning, that we should live our lives to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow brings. Kage and Tamar were perfect for each other and knew it just from their first interaction. "Because Tamar? She's like a blazing sun on the bleak landscape, and I'm already a doomed man". The story kept you engaged with the twist and turns that the characters faced. The secondary characters were amazing too. I loved Lars and Dessa. My favorite quote from Lars was, "'Sh*t'. Now this isn't usually my go to genre but with it being by Esther and Cali I had to check it out and boy am I glad that I did. This wasn't so far fetched, it was completely believable and could totally happen in the future so it helped me enjoy it more. The story line was interesting and had me intrigued and hooked from the beginning. The men were sexy, alpha men and Tamar was independent, feisty, kick butt and take names later kind of lady with a kind heart for those she cares for as well.
Tamar and Kage have an instant chemistry and in times such as these things move faster than they would normally. When you find something good in life, you grab it with both hands and don't let go and that is exactly what Kage plans to do but it may take a bit to convince Tamar.
This is definitely a book to give a chance to even if you don't normally read anything in the apocalypse genre. I really think that you will enjoy this book as well. And hello...MC guys. I can't wait for the next in the Peril's End MC series!!

I'm a huge lover of Esther's writing but Cali is a new author to me and this is a brilliant collaboration.
MC is my favourite genre, add in this brilliant twist and I am in love. You still have the hot, sexy as sin bikers that make you swoon and heart race, mix this with a apocalyptic type world and this book is pure genius!!
In a world where everyone who is left is fighting for survival, trust is hard to come by but the instant trust and connection between Tamar and Kage was intriguing and oh so hot. Even though it was an insta love it felt so natural between them.
I'm honestly very excited for this series and can't wait to see where it goes.

Whew, this was a fast paced, edge of your seat, instalove story that will have you hooked from the start. I have read all of Esther’s books and this one falls in line with her writing style. Cali is a new to me Author and you can see the twist she puts on this book. These two authors combined made the storyline glow with their great word building and fierce characters.
Kage and Tamar are both bounty hunters is a world without power. Both of them have many they take care of and neither have any plans to be in a relationship. However nothing could prepare themselves for the connection they would feel. Now they have to fight friend and foe to survive while also worry about each other.
This is a great book that you should definitely pick up especially if you love bikers, alphas, and smokin hot love!

This is my very first apocalyptic story and I'm glad its by two authors that I adore. This book is like no other and I mean that wholeheartedly. The world as you know it has changed and its basically one man who's trying to run it all, too bad he's going to have a fight on his hands in the form of Kage & Tamar. Kage was going after the man before the world collapsed and Tamar was just searching for a bounty that would help her protect the people she cares about. One chance encounter between the pair and these two explode with the chemistry that they generate. I can admit I was very apprehensive going in but I'm glad to have. I know I can't wait to see what's next.

Cali MacKay is a new to me author, and Esther E Schmidt is one of my favourites. This story is truly a genius blend of both of them. You can’t tell where one stops and the other starts.
This is an action packed book that will keep you on your toes. There are plans that never go the way you want them too. But when these two teams of unlikely Bounty Hunters team up they can get the job done, with a couple hiccups.

I love in this book that Tamar is a strong female that won't take shit from anyone. Mage is a great guy that is willing to allow Tamar to take the lead, but is also able to take the lead from Tamar when needed. Kage and Tamar are great compliments to each other.
The side characters were great and I can't wait to read more about the Peril's End MC guys.
