Sazon

I am a man of honor and what I have I earned with my own two hands.
I am ruthless against those who would seek to destroy my family.
Our undying loyalty makes us family.
I would live and die for the brothers I found when I was nothing more than a child.
Till she came.
As soon as I touched her our connection was bonded.
She is the missing half of my soul and to be without her now would leave me half alive.
I plan to protect her whether she wants it or not, she’s a stubborn as I am and her quest might just kill her.
To be with her will be heaven.
To be without her would send my soul into a lifetime of hell.

Ana

I may be small but I’m determined.
I was taught by the men in my life to stand up for what I believe in and nothing will take my honor away from me.
I won’t let it.
When I met him it was like meeting the other part of my soul.
He completes me like no other ever would.
I loved him at first sight even if I didn’t recognize the feeling but not even he will stand in my way.
I must get justice for the death of my grandfather.
Family honor demands it.
I’m torn in two direction, I want justice but now I finally has something I can’t bear to lose, Sazon.
Everyone is telling me I can’t face him but I’ll have no one else stand in my stead.
I must face this particular killer.
I must face a monster and win, using everything I was ever taught.

Will it be enough to win or will I fall under my own blade?

I live in a small town in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.

I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.

REVENGE IS BETTER WITH BACKUP ANA AND SOULMATE!

I enjoyed Sazon and Ana's intense and sexy story with the Bratva Blood Brothers :Yuri, Mikial, Barshan and Roman working to solve who killed an innocent- Ana's grandfather with his own sword! More twists and turns in the romantic suspense and the story goes on and I loved it!

4 SUSPENSEFUL STARS! ****

REVIEW: 3 stars--SAZON is the fourth instalment in KJ Dahlen’s contemporary, adult BRATVA BLOOD BROTHERS Russian mafia, romance series focusing on a close-knit group of friends, originally from Russia. This is gym owner Sazon Demikoff, and metal forger Anastasia ‘Ana’ Petroff’s story line. SAZON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. The author begins each story with a short story prequel (Blood Brothers) focusing on the history of the ‘brothers’ and how they came to be.

NOTE: SAZON is the re-release of the author’s November 2017 release FORGED IN BLOOD.

SOME BACKGROUND:
Five young boys and childhood friends (Yuri, Sazon, Barshan, Mikial and Roman) survived the mean-streets of Russia only to be rescued and reared by a local gym owner Ivan Russo, who would meet his death by a local gang. Seeking revenge against the gang, local Russian Bratva member and soon to be New York Russian mafia leader Nikoli Silvanic would mentor the five young men until they were ready to take on the world, with the approval of Russian Bratva leader Sergi Constantine. When the time came Nikoli Silvanic would take over the New York territory, while the five ‘blood brothers’ would take over New Orleans. These are their stories.

Told from several third person perspectives (Sazon and Ana) SAZON is an ensemble story line that brings together a large number of characters from the author’s Bratva Blood Brothers, Satan’s Spawn MC and Sin’s Bastards series in an attempt to take down a serial killer that has brought his game to the city of New Orleans. Days earlier Ana and Drago Petroff lost their beloved grandfather to a killer-a man who special ordered a Russian-designed sword from the victim, a sword that was used to murder Ivan Curcovic Petroff. In her attempts to track down the killer and her grandfather’s missing Russian blades, Ana finds herself in New Orleans, falling in love with a member of the Russian mob. Enter Sazon Demikoff, gym order and a member of the Russian Bratva. What ensues is the hunt for a killer, and the discovery of information regarding fourteen years of mayhem and murder.

The relationship between Ana and Sazon is quick to develop; a case of insta-lust/love wherein our hero claims Ana as his own declaring his protection for the rest of their lives within a matter of hours of meeting. The $ex scenes are passionate, and quick to resolve without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. Saying that, Ana and Sazon’s relationship took a backseat to the search and investigation into a series of murders linking back fourteen years.

Like the previous instalment Barshan, Sazon takes liberty with some of the history of the Russian Imperial Romanov family, and the Russian revolution- a history fictionalized and fantasized by many authors and historians throughout the years.

Sadly SAZON, like the previous instalments, requires another round of editing in that there are numerous problems including missing letters, possessive errors, as well as several instances of issues with name changes including Ana to Anna, and Drago to Deago. SAZON is the re-release of the author’s November 2017 FORGED IN BLOOD, therefore there is no excuse for the publication of a book without another re-read, round of editing, grammar and spell check. I also struggled with the lack of connection between the killer and the Russian blades. There is no apparent information linking the killer to the blades, or how he was able to ascertain their important, location and history as it concerns the late Russian Tzar. The 'missing information' leaves a feeling of incompleteness to the overall story .

SAZON is a quick read that ends at 20% on the Kindle e-reader with additional material including a never before release novella-Saving Her, as well as Spawn and Spitfire Volume 1, Sin’s Volume 2 & 3. This is not unusual as most of the books in the series thus far end between 10-20% with the remainder filled with additional story lines.

I enjoyed this story. But. . . In every book of this series Sazon is tasked with assessing the medical condition of the characters but it never says why this is. Where did he get his medical training? I hated the typos/lack of editing, AGAIN.

Ana finds her grandfather lying on floor bleeding from several stab wounds. After he tells who and why she promises on his grave to get justice. While they do the preparation her brother Draco and her all set out to find the man responsible. When she tales off in the middle of night Draco has no choice but get help from Deacon from the Sin's Bastard MC and when they figure out where she is going they have to call Leon to follow protocol and call Nikoli and Sergi and from their they have to decide what to do. When Ana gets to New Orleans she meets Sazon and they have a spar, and when they find out what Michael took and what he is hiding. They call on Trudy to find out what she can. Will they uncover the truth about Michael and his friends? Will Ana be able to see that what she wants is revenge not justice? Will Sazon be able to understand her need to face this man? Will they see what they mean to each other or will something get in the way? This book had me in tears right at the beginning and had heartbreaking, intense, emotional, action packed moments and even at the end you wanted more. The more the story unfolds the more your mind will be blown. I do can't wait to read what comes next.

I love, love, love this series. This is book 4 in the Bratva Blood Brothers series and just as good as the last three. There are a few errors that I caught but since I like the story so much, I overlooked those. Sazon is one of 5 men who became brothers when they were living on the streets of Russia. They may not be related but blood doesn't always mean family. They will do anything for each other and their woman. Ana is a young woman who walks into her house while her grandfather is dying. He's been stabbed by a sword that he made several times. He stays alive so Ana or Drago her brother will know who murdered him. She is now on a mission and this man who murdered her grandfather is now in New Orleans and that just happens to be where Sazon lives. When her brother goes to one of his friends for help, he gets more help than anyone could ask for. Will she find the man who murdered Ivan? What will happen when Ana and Sazon meet? There is so much to this story as well as the series and I am not going to give anymore away. This is a must read or something to put on your TBR. Looking forward to reading Roman's story that comes next. Enjoy

Ana Petroff’s grandfather is killed and she sneaks away from home to track down his killer, which she feels she is competent to do. She seeks revenge, but justice as well. She stands up for what she believes and will not back down.

Sazon Demikoff runs a gym in New Orleans. He finds someone has broken into his gym. But when he sees Ana, he immediately determines that she is his, she completes him and he will protect her with his life. Ana feels a connection as well, but she will not let him stop her from her mission – even if she faces a dangerous serial killer!

This isn’t my usual type of book, but the story line was well done and held my attention. I admired the characters, even though at some times they were a bit “over the top”. Part of my problem may be that I hadn’t read the previous books, although it seemed like the author generously provided adequate backstory that I at least knew what was going on. It’s worth reading, and I intend to check out another of the books in this series as well.

A mafia story that is the fourth in this series. Sazon is very protective of his family and they have a very strong bond. Ana wants to revenge the death of her grandfather and tries to find the killer. She is a very strong heroin that stands up for her case. They meet in Sazons gym when Ana has broken in. They have instant attraction and he wants to protect her because he has no doubt that she is his soulmate. But Ana does not want him to stop her mission.

A very well written story with nice storyline and plot. It is very captivating from first to last chapter. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story. This is a story of great length and that gives the characters a depth that cannot always be given to their personalies in shorter stories. The story flows so well of the pages and I could not lay it down.

A story filled with drama, danger, attraction, love, mafia, murder and emotions all over.
Worth the read.

“Sazon” is the fourth book in the Bratva Blood Brothers series and an incredibly entertaining addition. This time the story revolves around Sazon a Bratva Blood brother and the owner of a gym in New Orleans and lovely Ana who is searching for the man who murdered her grandfather. Along with the Bratva Brothers, the Satan's Spawn MC and the Sin Bastards MC make an appearance as they help the brothers track down the killer. Sazon and Ana meet when she breaks into the gym looking for information. As with the other Bratva brothers, Sazon falls in love with Ana at first sight. I like that Ana, the female character is strong and independent and a great match for Sazon. This fast-paced, action-packed story had me captivated from the first to last page. I truly recommend reading “Sazon” and all the books in the Bratva Brothers series.

I just cannot pick a favorite in this series as they each have their own charm. Sazon is the fourth story in the Bratva Blood Brothers series and while it reads like its predecessors, there are still elements that are unique to his story. Like his brothers, Sazon is protective of those he holds dear and it is a bond that cannot be broken. Ana is looking for revenge for the death of her grandfather and takes it upon herself to find his killer. When Sazon first meets Ana, he knows without a doubt that she is the one for him and will let nothing harm her. Is it possible for Ana to get the justice she is seeking or is it too late? This is one engaging read laden with drama, love and intrigue. Once you begin, you will not be able to put it down.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

The fourth of the Bratva blood brothers, Sazon, owns a gym as did their first mentor in Russia. In this love story, he catches Anastasia as she breaks into his gym late one night looking for information on Michael, who has killed her beloved grandfather and stolen a priceless, bejeweled daggar set he was holding for the heir of Tzar Nicholas. She had come from her home with her brother and his wife in the Katskill Mountains to New Orlean to fight with swords this killer even though she was barely five feet! It takes two motorcycle clubs and the five Bratva brothers with all their security men to settle the trouble Ana brought to NOLA!

There is a second story included about a serial killer who has killed the wife of a NOPD detective and kidnapped his son and it looks like the FBI agent on the case is the killer!

Sazon is a fast paced or short read, depending on how you look at it. It’s the fourth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Having read the previous stories in this series, this is probably the one I enjoyed the least. It’s a 3.75 star book for me. While the characters are determined and passionate there were some details that were neglected but for some reason I couldn’t get past. Like why or what was the desire behind the antagonist’s need for the daggers. Greed? I get that maybe he is just sick but usually there’s still a reason. Maybe I’m just too curious.
Still I enjoyed the insta-lust/love, the fierceness of Sazon and Ana. I enjoyed seeing characters from other series.
I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and. Non incentivized review.

ONE HARD PACKING READ!!!
Sazon is one kickass of a read. I like them all but Sazon hit me like a rock to my head. Yeah you got it here. Adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, pulse racing, kicking ass and taking names aren't on his agenda. If you like hard hitting, action packed, and pulse racing reads then congratulations my friends you've found it. Sazon will bring you down. With whatever it calls for. The characters and scenes were intriguing and complex. I followed the characters along as they grew and transformed into the people they became. Graphic detailed descriptions were realistic and believable. This is one hot read. KJ did a remarkable job bringing this together perfectly. Great job KJ and thanks for sharing.

This is the fourth book in the Blood Brothers series but it can be read as a standalone. Ana and her brother Drago are raised by their grandfather, a master sword maker. When he is brutally murdered, Ana must avenge his death. She is almost immediately claimed by Sazon. I loved that this book incorporated the Bratva, MCs, and the Italian Mafia! Lots of action, a bigger mystery than first appears is solved, and true love over the course of a few days. It's always a busy time with the Blood Brothers. Fast read, well-written.

Sazon and Ana fell in love fast, but what really made this a great read for me, was the respect that was given to Ana by Sazon, the brothers, and the other members of the Bratva. It was filled with suspense, drama, danger, and sexy romance. Ana was a really strong character that had many facets about her, with Sazon front and center in support and protection of her. A well developed plot line that was filled with so many connecting pieces, it made the story a real page turner with Sazon and Ana getting their HEA. Each book in the series is a standalone and Sazon and Ana's is one not to be missed. Thank you to the author for gifting me "Sazon". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 5 Stars!

I do enjoy this series and once I get past the instant claiming of the woman the second they meet them, I enjoy the story.
Sazon and Ana's story doesn't disapoint. We are once again given a strong alpha in Sazon, a man of few words. But this time we get an equally strong woman character. While all the females in this series are strong I believe Ana is the most kick**s. In this book she does not back down and she doesn't allow Sazon to determine what she will do. What she needs to do.
The story has twist and contains characters from Dahlen's MC books. You don't need to read any other book in the series to read this one.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.

📚I am honestly and voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book 📚
While each book in the Bratva Blood Brothers series can be read as a stand-alone, you will miss so much if you don’t read the entire series. Sazon and Ana’s story is well written, interesting from start to finish, and they have instant chemistry. There are some twists and turns, but like the other books in the series, once these brothers find their woman, they are protective men on a mission to make her their own. Great addition to the series!!

The magical story of Sazon and Ana who were soul mates. This is book #4 in the Bratva Blood Brothers series about the Russian Mafia. It is a standalone and does not have to be read in any order. A well written book that is full of suspense, danger and lots of fast moving action. the bond between Ana and Sazon was like no other and he was determined to protect her at any cost. She was on a mission to avenge her grandfather's death and would let no one get in her way. Their chemistry is explosive and the story entertaining. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Sheesh...I really wanted to like this re-release of a previous Dahlen book, but it just didn’t happen for me. It’s a short read, with a crazy storyline and even crazier antagonists. The plot was definitely twisted but felt like we never knew why the villain actually killed the grandfather. The love story between Ana and Sazon saved the rest of the story from itself.
I fear the Bratva Brothers are losing steam as the series progresses. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and was disappointed overall.)

Sazon was an incredible book, the story of him and Ana was wonderful, as well as Ana being a total bada** that female can fight!! This story had an amazing plot that draws in 2 of K.J. Dahlen's worlds the Sin's bastards as well as the Bratva, it kept your attention from the first page and made you want the next story right now!!!! I cannot wait for more from this author!!! She is definatly one of my one click favorites!!

After her grandfather died, Ana vowed to get justice. Sazon is determined to help his brothers and work in his gym. One heirloom brings them together. Will Ana allow Sazon to love her? Will Sazon allow Ana her justice?

Loved this book! In my opinion each of these brothers are each great. I love the fact that Sazon is an alpha male, but yet when it came down to it, he let her fight her own battle. I loved how despite her size Ana, was a tough chick. Great read and great series!

I cant get enough of this series. Each book has captured my attention and held from the flip of the first page. I love how this one has more suspense, danger and a strong fearless female character like Ana. Sazon is dark, serious but also sexy and dominant. Its action packed and thrilling. I love that it also included another book called Saving Her. Yet another great read by this author. Use your KU to grab it. I did!

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I enjoyed most of the characters. Sazon and Anastasia, they came together under very unusual circumstances. Sazon knew she was the one for him when he first touched her, he felt a little both of electricity go through him. That she was a force to be reckoned with those knives. This was a really good book. I recommend this book to all romance readers. Great read!

This is another love at first sight story about Sazon and Ana. Sazon is your typical alpha badass and Ana is a feisty, spirited girl who is hell bent on revenge on the person who killed her grandfather. This makes for lots of sparks, twists and turns and a love that blossoms quickly but unexpectedly. Another great addition to this wonderful series.

PS: I really enjoyed the bonus story "Saving Her".

Justice or Revenge?

Ana is a spitfire on a mission seeking justice for her Grandfather. Sazon is disturbed by a sound in his quiet gym. When he discovers Ana and holds her he knows she will change his life. As Their story unfolds so many dark twists and turns with MC's and the Mafia you will be on edge to see how it turns out.

Fourth in the Bratva series, it did not disappoint. Intriguing, sexy, full of danger and hot spicy romance. I liked most of the storyline, the characters were known to me from the previous episodes and the new characters were great adding to the Bratva family. I took off one star for editing.

Ana was the kind of woman that I wish I had in me strength, courage, determination in the face of any challenge, and the muscle to back it up! Finding her true love was a plus, becoming a part of the Bratva family, and having her brother and his family near, make this a story worth reading!

Anther excellent Blood Brothers Bratva story. This book showcases Sazon. He is a strong and formidable man who knows how brothers have his back. Suddenly, someone new is in the city and could bring bloodshed to the streets. Ana has come to New York to avenge her grandfather's death and meets Sazon. Trouble brews! I'M brings characters to life.
