Um.... I don't leave rude reviews... Let's see here...
I liked the cover, I liked the editing... but this main female character was just overly rude and extra. I was let down, expected more "thriller" aspect. This was just a crazy, rude, chick who didn't know how to take birth contol properly and stayed mad and crying. I expected more from this book. All she did was get preggers and wanna get rid of it...
Nothing personal against the author at all... however I'll probably pass on books 2 and 3. I'll check out something else of hers.

This book was so good it held my attention all the way through the book. I understand she didn’t want kids but to go behind his back and do that was crazy and unfair. She truly had a lot of issues if you asked me. I truly loved this book can’t wait until part two comes out. Great job Lady Lissa great job

Kiyah was lucky to have such a loving husband in Iman. This was a really good read that I started & finished in a couple of hours. Page turning as Kiyah's odd & sneaky behavior had me wondering if she was about to go off the deep end. Now I understand why...So ready for the next part to see how this situation is handled!

Not what I expected

I was expecting a psychological thriller with heightened suspense, but this didn’t deliver. It appears to be a psychological novel because of the mental illness aspect/unresolved trauma. The female M.C. wasn’t likable, and her husband was only a bit more tolerable than her.

Ok

This book was ok. It wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be suspense and more action. The main character was very annoying. The book seemed to constantly repeat itself. Not really interested in part 2.

A Mother Within Her 1-3
I don't quite get the subtitle after reading this series. True enough she had some major physiological issues going on but "thriller", I didn't see it as that.
But anyways "Ki"...like I said, she had some major issues that stemmed from her thoughts of how her mother raised her and her sisters without a father around. A incident from her past also made her feel unworthy to be a mother. Her issues was beginning to take a major toll on her relationship with a guy who loved her beyond her wildest dreams. Her past had her so hindered she could not realize that.
I was so back and forth at first, I really didn't know who side to be on, Ki's or her husband. But Iman, her husband got on my nerves just as much as Ki as the story went on. She wanted to fault others for the poor choices she made, every single thing she did, it was someone else's fault. She was a very ungreatful, insensitive bihh. Finally her lies and secrets caught up with her.
There were some really great scenes in this book, but at times I would loose focus for the very reason I see in many first person books, the repetition. This author did it no where near as much as I have seen in some books, but it still frustrates me. Eventhough I had a couple of issues with this book. It was some inconsistencies and parts that had me scratching my head. I heard a lot of good things about this author, so I will try another book by her

Mom’s are stressed, doing it all and the girls never knew if mom would be hot or cold so Ki really embedded in her mind she was not having kids because as a single parent life was extremely hard! As the girls grew Lyrica, Harmony, Nia and Kia went to college and Kia meets the man of her dreams Inman. Love is in the air and Kia and Inman graduate and both land great jobs. Kia becomes pregnant but is defiant against having a baby especially out of wed lock. Poor Inman never knows. After marriage months later Kia is pregnant again! Inman is ecstatic but Kia is anything but happy. Her mind is fixated on the fact she will not raise a child alone. This story is soo sad about someone who practically has it all physically but mentally she needs help. Kia resistance to children puzzles Inman and he believes talking Kia through this puzzle will bring her around. More secrets come to life with Kia and the latest one may cost her her life or her marriage. Part 2 please hurry!,

A Must Read

Sadly there are plenty of women out here that has the mindset of Takiyah. She was truly being overly dramatic though. Her reasonings for not wanting to become a mother was kind of selfish and she has made some decisions that could tear her whole marriage apart if Iman ever found out. Takiyah may need to go to some type of counseling because she seems to have a few screws loose. Iman really wanted the best for his family and really love Takiyah. I wonder how he's going to feel when he finds out about not one but two secrets she's hiding. I can't wait for part two because I have a feeling Takiyah has a darker side that is going to be revealed in order to keep her secrets hidden.

Hot Mess

Where's the mother? Takiyah is no mother, she's no victim, she's a selfish, self centered low down monster! 1) she knew she didn't want children but Iman did, her response to his proposal should have been no knowing she didn't want the same things he did! The hateful wench killed an innocent baby because it wasn't what SHE wanted! She didn't give Iman or his feelings a thought! Then she neglected the baby in favor of being whorish, bussin it open for the next ninja when she should have been getting therapy. I do not sympathize with her at all!!! I sympathize with the children and her husband.

Great story and read. I'm ready for part 2. I hope this monster isn't successful with her attempt on another innocent life!

Interesting and wow 😯

A Mother Within Her: A Psychological Thriller by Lady Lisa is a interesting and amazing read. The main character has a psychological issue.

I understand that she doesn’t want to become a mother but what’s she doing ungrateful and unselfish behind her husband. She’s definitely needs to go to see someone to help her mental illness. She always think about herself. I felt bad for Iman. He’s a good man, protecting and provide for his family and he needs to find someone who cares about him.

Lady L does a good job. She’ll definitely make you emotional for this book. I can’t wait to read part 2 of this book.

Good read:

She really needed some help!!!

I liked the book but I really didn't like the fact that she got an abortion the first time just be sure she didn't want to have a baby at that time. I felt bad for her husband when she got pregnant the second time with Isaiah. That was a deep situation when she went into depression. She really should've deemed some help because of her fear of not wanting to have kids after watching her mother struggle raising her and her siblings by herself. Ready to find out what happens next with this pregnancy.

This was a good start to the series. i was so mad at Takiyah the first time around when she got pregnant. she got an abortion without her husband knowing. if he would’ve found out things would’ve been all bad. then to turn around and want to do it a 2nd time was crazy. i understand why she wanted to this time around, but she should’ve thought about that before she was out doing all that she was doing. i can’t wait to see what part 2 has in store

Crazy!!!

This chick is just plain ole crazy ... Not only does she have an extreme communication problem, she lack the necessary skill of self-love! How could she not realize that there are coincidences attached to her seemingly drastic decisions she is making without counsel (medically, mentally, spiritually, or legally)!!!
After just the first book, I am totally hooked ... I cannot wait to dive into Book 2!

Good Read

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I enjoyed reading this book. Good storyline and character development. Takiyah really needs to get some help and fast. She has deep issues stemming from her childhood that has made her heart cold to becoming a mother. After her son is born, I believe postpartum depression has caused her emotions and behavior to go haywire. Cant wait for part 2. Will Takiyah go through with her plan to get rid of baby #2.

Cries for help

Kiyah really needs help and as much as her husband, Iman, loves her, he is blind to this fact. He is so caught up in being a dad and having the perfect family, he doesn't realize Ki's reactions are more than just nerves. I hate that she disconnected from her marriage, but she's seriously 'self medicating'. Hopefully she'll get help in part two before she self destructs. Sad, but engaging read.

a must read

Takaiak needs help the sooner she realizes it the more better her feelings and options would be she is so selfish on not wanting to have kids she should of thought about that while she was having sex I’m quite sure he mother and doctor advise her that birth control isn’t 100% effective on getting pregnant I just pray Iman can find peace with T once he finds out both of her secrets

Depression is real

Drama, drama, drama. Kiyah should have told Inman about her fears of having children. Why didn't anyone know about Logan's depression, it seems that with everything that was going on ,someone would of noticed. Mz lissa a you done it again, can't wait to what happens.

Signs

Omg I can’t believe Ki family is to pushing harder to get her some help cause she’s really losing it. No matter how much Iman loves he she thinks he going go run off and make her a single parent like her mom. She’s going to end up losing him cause she just can’t seem to cope with being pregnant again

Great read

From start to finished this book kept my attention. I felt bad for Ki because she really didn't want to have kids but no one cares about her feelings. Inman manipulated her into carrying their son. I feel bad that she got herself in a predicament but I anxious to see how it unfolds.

Awesome read

I feel as if Tekiyah had gotten some help while she was pregnant with Isaiah, or even after, it would’ve saved her from the situation she’s in now. Iman is an awesome husband and father, however, I feel as if he was so focused on the fact that HE wanted a family, he disregarded Tekiyah’s feelings.

Decent read

She allowed her fear to consume her, and she became reckless. She should've communicated with her husband. She's put herself in a bad situation, can't blame him if he leaves.
