She was the heir to the throne and she had a secret…
Tazina Suzuki had always lived her life knowing that one day it could all very well end. The secret she held tight to her chest could destroy her family’s very way of living. Kaysa Suzuki, her twin and confidant had always been her pillar of strength. She wanted something more, she needed something more and there was only one person who could give it to her. He was the mage with no soul and he had a secret as well…
His goals were simple; destroy any one who was not mortal or mage. There were no exceptions in his mind. None would be able to slip through his cracks not after what his own blood had done. None would be safe. He was Lorcan Adair, he was the Arcane Master and together with the Necromancer Zuriel Isom they would rid this world of any and all pests. Yet they have their own secrets. Powerful and deadly secrets.
What happens when the whim of the King throws them together? What happens when the secrets are revealed?
The title of this book explains it all - The DARK Arcane Master. Lorcan Adair, the newly appointed Arcane Master is dark, twisted and all without a soul. He's cruel and you certainly see it as you read more and more of this one. He has no empathy and he's one of those characters that you find yourself liking even though you feel like your not supposed to. Lorcan takes what he wants and doesn't care who gets in his way. The Dark Arcane Master along with Zuriel for me felt the two central characters who both take completely different roads as they progress in this story and really shows light and dark (more dark for Lorcan)
And the cliffhanger leaves you questioning what is going to happen next and when? This book does have a lot of unusual names but so glad there is a little something at the end of the book that explains/reminds me of who and what each character is.I really enjoyed, loved reading The Dark Arcane Master and I can't wait for the next one in The Mage Wars because out of all the characters Taki has created, Lorcan has got to my favorite character out this. #TeamLorcan
