Peter and Rachel Burton make it safely aboard their rig in New Orleans, but their journey is far from over. With Thiago close on their heels and a tropical storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, more trials await. Farther north, Joyce Tucker leaves her camp in Vancouver to deal with a medical emergency. But nothing will compare with what awaits her on the other side of the border... ==== An excerpt from the ==== Joyce breathed a little easier as she slipped onto the freeway and headed south for Seattle. She hadn’t been behind the wheel in two weeks and was surprised by how strange it felt. At half past nine there were few cars on the roads; Joyce imagined she might even get home before she’d planned. She slipped her phone from her pocket, plugged in the charger, and glanced down at her texts. She’d messaged Sami Raphesh, the doctor at West Hill Medical, who’d confirmed that they still had plenty of iodide pills on hand, and that it would be no problem to procure them for her. The price would be high–$120 a bottle, thanks to the recent rise in demand–but it was fine. Joyce would put it on her credit card and that would be that. You couldn’t put a price tag on life. It was just past eleven o’clock when Joyce Tucker pulled into the visitor’s parking deck, found a spot, and slid in through the hospital doors. A handful of orderlies and janitors recognized her and nodded, but no words were exchanged. She navigated the halls to the ward where Doctor Raphesh’s office was located and took the elevator up. But when the elevator doors opened, she froze. The entire area was cordoned off by white plastic sheets. Narrow window slits revealed men and women roving about in Hazmat suits. Many held medical apparatus Joyce had never seen before. Two of the men held guns. A woman emerged from a doorway at the far end of the hall holding what looked like a yellow car battery. A cable running from the device was attached to a chrome wand, which she waved carefully over the walls and floors. A knot formed in Joyce’s throat; she realized she was holding her breath. The woman holding the Geiger counter turned, spotted Joyce, and pointed. “Civilian! We’ve got a civilian on the premises!” she shouted. Joyce stumbled backwards a few steps, hands fumbling for the elevator buttons on the panel behind her. The DOWN button lit up, but the elevator climbed at an impossibly slow pace. Joyce glanced back at the woman, who stood in the middle of the hall, her face lit up dreadfully inside the plastic mask of her suit, her eyes wide with intent. She held a small walkie-talkie to her mouth and said something Joyce couldn’t make out. Another moment passed, and the elevator still hadn’t arrived. Joyce pounded the button again with her fist as two soldiers emerged from a stairwell behind her. They grabbed her arms and lifted her off into the shadows... ==== Reviews & comments from ==== "A great read! I could hardly put the book down to do chores. I was fascinated with the story. I visualized each page and could hardly wait to turn to the next page." - Deborah, USA "Though the future may not unfold exactly as presented in these books, they are good for helping us to think about how things may unfold and what struggles we personally will face very soon. Thank you." Rebecca, USA "Wow what a ride! Couldn’t put it down. The mark of a great author is getting your readers to care about what happens to the characters in the novel. You do feel that about the these ones when you get to the end of the story." Michael von Nida, Australia

Ummmm, this definitely didn't leave me wanting more like Flee did. I'm hopeful the last book puts me back into the feels of the first book. So many things happened... I guess that's the point ,however it definitely took a more grisly turn for the main characters. I won't spoil anything here.
Also always wished a real movie would come out on the Bible, that was the truth. And then Jehovah gave us jw.org and jw broadcasting! Where there are countless dramas and videos to help us stay focused on what is important. Now the wonderful imagination on what could happen during the the Great Tribulation in books by this brother, speculation is exciting! I’ve just finished the first two books and am eagerly looking forward to the third book of this trilogy. Thank you to the author for his encouraging imagination from what we know from God’s word regarding the “last days”.
This Book "Stay", as well as the previous book Flee, are excellently developed, thought out, and crafted. I very much like that these books have multiple storylines that tie-in to each other, but are not confusing at all. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you EK Jonathan!
Heartbroken that the book is over. Can’t wait for Book 3
I highly recommend this book for all who can appreciate clean fiction. The book was intense. I only put it down out of necessity (work, ministry, meetings, etc) However, there were many nights I fell asleep reading it. Looking forward to Book 3!
Love the sequel…it just kept getting better…the only thing is I like audiobooks better because the typos and grammatical errors in books drive me nuts! I had to read with my red pen! Lol Makes us contemplate what we are putting priority on now and how it will effect our decisions in the future! Are we staying close to Jehovahs spirit directed faithful and discreet slave? Or are we using our own flawed thinking and reasoning! I’m deep into Stand now and I’m just blown away! Eager to see how it all works out!
