The plot was there. This could have been a great read if the author had beta readers and a good, no great, editor.

I was very confused as to who was talking. The main female character, Camilla, was called “Ally” and “Tessa”. There was another character named Camilla. Tito was called “Drake” a few times and Becca was called “Desiree”. I mean, really?!?!

The major issue I have is what in the world are these grown men thinking when it comes to their attraction to a 17 year old, junior in high school girl?!?! Tom was a doctor that raped and molested girls and then the author is going to have a 23 and 24 year old lust after a 17 year old high school student?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! I’d get it if she just graduated high school.

If Camilla were 18 and out of high school, I’d be rooting for Corrin but I can’t. A 23 year old man thinking about a girl and her hips in jeans?!?! Too many “love interests”. Everyone seems to want Camilla 😒🙄

The book cover is misleading and I’m not even sure if the main character is a black woman. She had a “hickory” color and then another time being described as “olive” toned. I was under the impression that this was BWWM. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Issa no, sis.

1.5 stars. The potential is there. You can’t write about empowering women/girls by getting back at their abusers and then romanticize grown men having a crush on a 17 year old high school student. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Deceptive!

The cover is deceptive, though it was a decent read! The main character was a teen that had been through hell! 2 stars only because I felt like the cover pulled a 'bait and switch'😒

Frustrating

It had a good plot. Camilla was a strong character.

BUT, things were inconsistent. Camilla was Ally and Tessa ( i had to go back and re-read to make sure I had my characters right. Camilla's skin tone went from being a hickory color to olive tone and her eyes went from being dark brown to hazel.

Christina also became christine.

And then it literally just ended... after Asher kissed her it literally ends.

As a reader it was annoying.

I gave this werewolf story a five star 🌟rating because it was a great read and I enjoyed the interesting written story line, is there a follow-up book?

Good but confusing

The premise of this book is a good one, girl living as a human not knowing that she’s also a wolf shifter. The hardship she endures endears her to you and you want to see her come into her own and find love. The supporting characters are just as interesting and they help round out the story. However, this book should have been proofread much better than it was. The main characters in the book is Camilla but one of the other characters is also named Camilla, however after introducing herself as Camilla she is called Tessa on the very next page. The mother introduced herself as Becca but is referred to as Desiree for the next two pages then reverts back to Becca. It’s very confusing and it takes away from the storyline because you’re constantly trying to keep the names of each character straight, and the storyline fades into the background. This could be a good story if you can overlook the typos.

Ok but deceived

This book is not what the cover leads you to Beleive. The author implied the female was a bw but she's not. I wld not have purchased this book had the author been honest. While this was a decent read the book needed some serious editing. Too many grammatical errors and name changes, it was very confusing at times. This book is also a cliffhanger. I hate those. Since I started, what appears to be a series, I will try to finish it. However, I am not sure if that will happen. If the 2nd book has the same editing issues and level of deception (i.e. Camilla is not a bw) I dnt think I will be able to finish the book or the series. I do not think I will purchase another book from this author again. Bc this was a decent read, I will attempt the 2nd book, but whether or not I finish it, well that's another story. I do not appreciate the author deceiving customers. That is not right. If this was never meant to be a bwwm novel, that should have been established up front. Anyway, it was a decent read but very disappoonting. Due to all the problems encountered I can only give this book 1.5 stars. This is an honest review. I purchased this book. This book was not given to me to review.

Cover doesn't match characters

I wanted to give this four stars so bad! It's a good story but a half of one. Not a cliffhanger either. It just ends. Let me give an example. "Hi, I was talking to Tito." Then the book ends! WTH is that? Starting another family issue at the end of the book was dumb, especially if it's not finished to end on a proper "cliffhanger". To have two damn Camilla's in the story was dumb. And I guess clear something up for me... is Tito's last name Drake? And is Corrin's last name Sadler? And is it Christina or Christine? Pick one. Because going back and forth between these characters names is, you guessed it... DUMB! Misplaced punctuation and words. Beta readers and editors please! But the storyline and that doctor beat down though?? Epic.

Readable

I know that a lot of the authors on Amazon are independent writers, but getting an editor, English teacher, etc will go a long way. I was extremely confused throughout the book, and it was a good read. At times I couldn't distinguish what Camilla was. Is she of mixed race or Hispanic? There was the confusion of who the characters were. Was Tito Drake? Why did Christina become Christine? Why did we receive the impression that Asher and Camilla were the destined couple, but only received the thoughts and feelings of Corrin? Why did we never get a glimpse into Asher's thoughts and feelings for Camilla? Was the black wolf she saw Asher? I thought wolves were able to discern their mates. Why didn't her mother take the opportunity to explain her heritage to her before she passed? The book would've received 5 stars from be but there were too many discrepancies in the storyline.

Women prevailing

I am a fan of Camilla and the things she had to overcome at such a young age. I stayed glued to this book for the simple fact that completing the book in one sitting was attainable since there was great detail on the main characters lives and the storyline was almost flawless. To be treated like anything less than human, beaten and raped, yes I would say Tom deserved everything that those young girls did to him. I hope the author gives us more of an adult version of Camilla since I want her to be with Corrin and not Asher.

Very Interesting!!!

This was a first by this author for me. The story was very interesting in its premise. Camilla was a great character to read about with everything she has gone through from her childhood till now. Just when you think Camilla can't go through anymore, life throws more at her. She is one tough cookie. I really do hope we get to see more of this world and it's characters especially with Camilla. Please please author, say you'll do a follow up, especially with the book ends.

Good Stuff

This was so good from the start and along the way in the middle it kind of stumbles but manages to right it self.I love that the heroine is strong and she is not only shown that way vulnerable as well. The writer gives us an inside look at things that can happen when you rely on ignorance to take the lead. There were a few typos that got in the way but not so much as to take away from the story.I look forward to the next installment because there is a lot more to tell about this clan.

Excellent story line

I really wish I could give this a five-star rating the storyline was really excellent I just think an excellent proofreader would've really benefited the authors hard work also there was a problem with the text to speech program for this book it was fine if you were reading it but if you were driving and wanted to have it read to you there was a problem hopefully this issue will be rectified for the next book in this series which I look forward to reading

Loved!

This book was so amazing knowing how camilla life was as a child and all the traumatic things she went through made it a good way for her to realize how powerful she is and protective of those she loves. I really hope she sees the way corrin feels about her and can finally be together and leave asher alone. I hate how short it wassss i wanted to keep reading! Hopefully part 2 coming!. I wanted to see how bad ass camilla is fighting as a wolf!

Good.......... but needs some work.

I not usually one for paranormal stories, but this was a good story. Camilla had a ruff (rough) life. I felt bad for her. Her father ain’t sh*t!! Luckily someone with a heart came into her life just at the right time. But the one thing about this book was that the characters names changed quite often. Like who is who and how you get Ally from Camilla?? These are questions that needs answering. Anyway good story.

Sad

What parent couldn't love there child. I felt so bad for Camilla and the struggles she had to go though. And her Father, whatever she went though he needs twice the pain she had. I love Corrin, and I wish he would make his move before Asher does. Can't wait to start the second half of this Amazing story

Interesting book

Interesting book. It takes a while to get going and move slowly but the story is different than usual bwwm books. Could use a good editor. There were several times names of characters were switched, hence the three rating.

Not Bad

A good story, good character development, I thought at first it was going to be very dark, but I was surprised. I am looking forward to the next installment.
The book could do with a little better editing too many typos.
