I was carried away from the wonderful fantasy of it all!
A Witch’s Destiny is the seventh and final exciting installment in Leigh Ann Edwards’ the Irish Witch series. In my opinion, it also sports the loveliest cover in the series. The series is a magical romantic fantasy saga set in sixteenth century Ireland featuring witches, a swoony hero, an evil curse, Celtic gods, spirits, demons, fairies and a colorful chorus of other super naturals.
This is a series that should be read in order. Each installment has incrementally built towards the coming final battle between good and evil. The author does fill in the basics of what has transpired previously, but I cannot imagine not reading this series sequentially.
This book picks up where the previous book, A Witch’s Quest, left off. Unfortunately, the previous book bogged down in England and that arc continued during the first part of this segment. Thankfully, the slowness regarding the couple’s sojourn in England and the evil child was short-lived herein and the magic, fantasy and romance that made me fall in love with this series moved to the forefront in short order.
As the last book in this series, there is much recollection of Alainn’s and Killain’s life that has transpired over the series. I found those flashbacks to be refreshing and not boring in the least. As this tale opens, Alainn and Killain are embarking on a dangerous quest to find their fathers as Alainn believes that they may hold the answers they need. Along the way, the couple will confront evil, cavort with the gods, make new friends, enjoy sexy times AND provide many laugh-out-loud moments! I laughed, mourned, swooned, and was carried away in the fantasy of it all. When I think back to the first book when we first met Alainn and Killain as children and to everything that has taken place since, I’m blown away by it all. It makes me want to go back and relive their highly entertaining, but perilous journey all over again.

There were so many scenes that stood out, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the one where Alainn meets the trow. I couldn’t stop laughing as Alainn engaged in a lively discourse with the creature. I especially loved the hilarity over a certain male appendage.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful, fun and addictive drama set in enchanting and often devious locales. I was surprised and thrilled to find that this book ended with a semi-cliffhanger which unexpectedly sets up a sequel series for Alainn, Killain and Danhoul. So, happily, their story is not finished and will continue in the future! I can’t wait to accompany them on their next sure-to-be lively and treacherous adventure as they fight the terrible evil that endangers the world!

Let me begin by saying I was not sure if i was going to read this book this month or not but was kinda pushed into reading it. I was so happy i got a little mental shove as it were. I really enjoyed the extra time it took me to read this book. It was fun to read it aloud with the accents aplenty. Yes, i read mainly at night so you know how that went over with my poor hubs too. Ear Plugs were used for 2 days that I was reading this book. Ear plugs. But It was worth it for me to enjoy a trip back in time. This is the first book in this series that I have read but i do plan to go back and read the other books and then re-read this one. We have Alainn who is a witch (has to hide it) and her husband is Killian O'Brein. They go through many trials and have gone through many in previous books (yes the author lets us know about them in this book so we are not lost). Alainn's believes her father help rescue her so they have set sail for where she believes he was last seen in a vision. Her husband doesn't believe he is there or alive. Not only that there are secrets being kept on both sides that cause issues. Remember this is not modern day Scotland and England but back in the early days where you road on a boat to go somewhere or horseback. If your were even thought to be a witch you would be burned so.... If you like books based in the past and ones that have some time travel i think you should give this one a try. I am happy I did.

A Witch's Destiny is the final book in Leigh Ann Edwards’ Irish Witch Series. This has been a highly entertaining and addictive series that I am sad to see end. However, it was time to see this couple find some peace in their lives. It has been one treacherous journey for the Aliann and Killian that began when they were children. This is a series that is best read in order for that reason. Many mystical characters show up to help Aliann from past events. I guess you could enjoy this story without knowing the details of all of those times, but it would certainly enhance the enjoyment of this one if you had. In fact, I oved seeing how it all came together in this book. The ending was excellent especially because it was unforeseen by me.
There are not many characters that has fostered jealous in me. However, Leigh Ann Edwards has done so with the character, Aliann. Without a doubt, I am a bit envious of Alainn O’Brien not because she has found her true love, though Killian is handsome, strong and courageous but because of her ability to rewind time. Wouldn’t we all appreciate the skill to go backward and change the course of some actions in our lives?
If one needs a bit of magical, mystery drama and the hope of a better future in their lives this is the series with which to escape. Recommend to all.

This entire series has been an adventure. Following the trials and joys of Alainn, Killian and Danhoul have been an emotional roller coaster ride. Every enemy faced with courage and valour, not caring for her safety with Killian and Danhoul fighting side by side. The losses and tears, the discoveries of families and destiny, all come together in this concluding instalment of the Irish Witch series. I have enjoyed it immensely and look forward to the quests of the other two witches who will ultimately band together to fight the evil that endangers the world.

I read this one as slow as possible because I knew it was the last in the series. I have loved every book in the amazing series and am not happy it's ended but all good things come to an end.
So many questions were answered, so many twists, highs, lows and a lot of magic. I admit I laughed, cried, got angery and cheered all the way through this one. I have one question for Leigh Ann Edwards, what's next becuse this series honestly can't end this way!!! Looking forward to to her next book(s)

Amazing Series
Magical, well made characters heartache, adventure and good world building. Love this magical romance and there better be another book because the ending did not finish this story. Truly cannot be the last the way the ending is left. Recommend this series.

A Witch's Destiny is the final book in Leigh Ann Edwards’ Irish Witch Series. This has been a highly entertaining and addictive series that I am sad to see end. I love the book and series but I feel as though there should be more. Do they find the second and third witch? Do they defeat evil? Live happily ever after in the 16th century? I want to know.

Oh the emotions. At this point a person is so invested in this love story and all the quandaries that these 2 endure. I laughed I cried , cried some more and felt all their happiness in my heart. This series was just fantastic from book 1 to book 7!
Book 7 just like the rest did not fail.
I wish this wasn’t the last book in the series I have become so invested in Alainn and Killian I want to see them at the end of this war and their Happily Ever After!

can’t believe it’s still not over..
I was most disappointed to get to the end of this and realise that it isn’t actually the end and it actually continues in a new 4 book series. It was an ok read but the way they magically heal from traumas felt quite unrealistic to me. Really hope the next series is markedly different as I definitely feel series fatigue..

This is the last book in the Irish Witch series and I would suggest reading the other books in the series in order because the story refers to previous plot points and characters. This story follows Alainn O’Brien, her husband Killian, protector Danhoul, and friend Connor as they search for Alainn's father while she waits for the Irish Gods to get Alainn out of a predicament she is in. While searching for her father Alainn is tested. Will her and Killian's relationships survive these tests? Or is this the end for Alainn and Killian?
This book is full of twists and turns, leaving the reader on the edge of their seats. I was not a huge fan of the ending. It ends in such a way that sets up the characters appearance in other stories however it does not resolve much for the characters we know and love. Overall an ok ending to a great series.

Unfortunately this series seemed to lose its way and this is much of the same as the previous books in the series.
Although an easy read with a few twists this seemed to me very like the previous novels.
