I am in shock
This book blew my mind, like wdh did I just read? This Bishop Delvin was nasty, disturbing and crazy , like a real damn mess. I hope he dies soon . I can't even read book 2, book one was too much

If you stopped going to church or decided to change churches to attend this one believe me you will never go to church ever again that’s just how Delvin makes me feel. Sick to my stomach. And his poor poor wife let’s see when reality will hit. Yatta Rose I’m waiting on part to hun hurry up😊

Ok I need part 2 like to yesterday
This book was too good. Devlin is wrong in so many ways and hurt so many people. I can’t wait for his ways to catch up with him. Karma need to show up and show out. Tory already got hit with karma but did he have that clap back too. I wonder do Shauntrice and British have it too. Everybody in this book was making me mad. They act like Devlin was above anything and scared to deal with him head on especially British and poor Simone. Sonja is stupid and just as bad as Devlin. But this book is definitely makes you want to protect your kids a little bit more. I sat down with my 3 after reading this to let them know no matter what anybody say it is not ok for anybody to touch you inappropriately or hurt you. You will not get in trouble no matter what they do and they will not do anything to anybody you love no matter what they say. You will get in trouble for not saying anything and I have to find out from somebody else

GREAT READ
I don't know what I was expecting when I started reading this book. Pastor Delvin was truly the son of Satan hiding behind the pulpit and the Bible. He was one sickening sadistic bastard. He use his position in the Church to take advantage and manipulate. At first I felt sorry for First Lady Sonja but as time went on. She made me sick my stomach for condoning and making excuses for her trifling husband. Now it has me wondering if she about the levels her sick husband stooped to just to get what he wanted no matter who he hurt. I hate that Simon and British didn't tell someone what was happening to them. Tory didn't know what to do with himself. At first he was forced into a situation but he could have simply ended it if he would have opened up his mouth. I can't wait to see what is going to happen in part two because Pastor Delvin has more skeletons than a cemetery.

OMG , Speechless!!!
Wow! I dont even know where to start. I promise I dropped so many tears. This happens to so many young girls in the church. I dont want to tell the whole story. I will say, this will keep you on the edge of your seat. I read this in just a couple of hours. I couldn't put it down. That damn Devlin was all of a Devil. He was evil and ... ooohhhhh yall read the book. I cant wait for part 2 because the ending is like OMG. This my first book by this Author and she put her foot in the book.

Decline was the devil! He was an awful person this book just made me cringe, how were all these women this crazy to let this happen over and over wow! I'm not ready for part 2 but I will definitely be reading it just to see what else happens.

Sucked! This is one of the worst books I ever read
This book sucked to think a group o of people could be so dumb and blinded by a bishop. And at no point did the author show God's love and wrath for ppl treating his children like that is totally unbelievable and not my experience with the Lord. Not interested in reading anything else from this author

Outlandish
Devlin is way over the top with his shenanigans. It's not even close to believable that he could do so much dirt, especially when he flaunts it in front of the church members, and not get ousted. Why does he even have a congregation still? I get what the author is doing, but the build up for the fall down is quite outlandish. Not sure if I'll read the sequel - the cliffhanger warrants it, but I struggled with the lack of editing in this book in addition to the fact that the writing itself was rather lackluster.

1st read by this author. I've read about many a bad bishop but this joker takes the cake. Devlin was hands down the worst one yet. His actions kept me reading to see what other crimes he would/could get away with. I felt so bad for the people he mistreated on a continuous basis. Storyline held my attention as I wondered why the adults didn't pick up on some things...I can only hope there is a part 2 so Devlin can reap some of this karma

DITP was by far one of the best stories I've read.. The writer talks about topics that many kids are going through in the world today.. Being raped by family members and also being afraid to tell because you are scared that nobody would believe you. While reading this book I got teary eyed, mad, etc. I felt so bad that these people had to go through this, especially with this being a pastor that everybody trust. Thank you, Yatta for blessing us with your talent.

Good but not great
Ok, this was well written with few grammatical or spelling errors but there was no real meat to it. I mean, no one can hurt so many people for so long and NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING?!?!?! You have all these children out here but no one has put two and two together? Yeah Kenny whipped Devlin, but that's it? He doesn't speak on the bull either? Especially not when it hits his backyard? Tory is a hypocrite and not a victim. He willingly engaged Devlin after the first threat and Torrence still got mistreated and shipped away! He stopped going to the church, BIG DEAL!!! YOU STILL SLEEPING WITH A MARRIED MAN FOR HIS MONEY!!!

This is my first read by this author n i must sat this book is making me very mad bc Devlin keeps molesting British & she is too scared to tell anyone. Don't wanna read shit about no child molestation or racist against gays and especially about no dying from cancer. My mom died from cancer! I like books on bullshit and drama! Ian got time for this book. Got me crying and shit. Next!

I took a huge change with this book! I initially was skeptical, but I’m glad I finished it and I’m now moving on to part 2! This book makes me sad but it’s a great read! I need British to speak up and out about it! Don’t want Serenity to go through the same crap! Good read

Omfg
This book waa good. It was a bit hard to read but i made it thru it. I have Devlin he's a straight molester and monster. I will be reafing part 2 hopefully something will be revealed and British gets saved and Devlin dead

Awesome read. This book sheds light on things happening in the world today. The church is supposed to be a safe place to turn to. People attend church for various reasons; love, guidance, and learning about God. Bishop Latimore was an evil man with a ton of secrets. Instead of helping people he was hurting people.
