Lost Souls ParaAgency and the Ghostly Reunion

Rate this book
When a hunter becomes the hunted, it's time to send in the LSP!

Welcome to the Lost Souls ParaAgency, where agents work together to ensure the safety of humans and prevent exposure of the paranormal community.

The Assignment--stop a spooky spirit from terrorizing a reality television ghost hunter.

Amira Walker and Lex Dimas are back as a mystery-solving duo in this second installment of the Lost Souls ParaAgency series.

Lex wants nothing more than to hang up his agent status and take Amira to a deserted island for a romantic getaway, but his manipulative grandfather has other plans. Once again coerced into taking an assignment he doesn't want, Lex's top priority is Amira's safety--whether she appreciates his overly cautious behavior or not.

This is Amira's first real assignment as an agent, and she's out to prove that her skills as a sleuth can far outvalue her skills as a witch. But suppressing her witchy side isn't the only complication for this assignment. She has to come face to face with Samuel Chase--the jerk extraordinaire who will exploit anyone to gain notoriety as a ghost hunter. As if that wasn't bad enough, Lex's overprotectiveness is putting a damper on their newfound romance.

Can she solve her first case without resorting to magic and find a balance in her romantic relationship?

I listened to the audio book of this one and it was great! The narrator did an excellent job of giving all of the different cast of characters their own unique feel. This is the second in a series but the first I’ve read. It was definitely stand alone but there were references to the first book. I liked the idea of paranormals having a secret agency to police other paranormals. I also enjoyed that the protagonist is a witch who wants to solve mysteries without magic. I also really liked that the relationship between Amira and Lex clearly was developing and not just magically fully formed the way they sometimes are. The mystery was fun and I liked the humor and irony about a ghost hunter being haunted. All together I enjoyed this one and would like to read more in this world!

Matters of the heart are perplexing enough without figuring in meddling people and magic.  For the Walker witches the main concern with love is a family curse and their three busybody Aunts.

For Amira Walker who vowed to dissociate herself from magic or anything supernatural, meeting Lex Dimas turned her world topsy turvy. Going into her first case working with the LSP is becoming all to real. Amira is finding it hard to compartmentalize between her new position and her new, " it's complicated."

Things cannot be easy when her home life starts crashing into her work life and an angry ghost is making it not so easy to debunk the supernatural. Mix in a sleezy Samuel Chase and his ever obnoxious partner Ramona and a B&B full of people who need serious counseling, this case may take longer than they anticipated.

A good sequel to the first book in the Lost Souls Paranormal series. Once again the characters are well developed and quirky. They keep you wondering what will happen next.

The relationships are interesting and have a lot of back and forth bantering. The mystery surrounding the B&B is something that has you waiting to see what the next clue will be. When you add Hoodie and Ris to the mix, things get interesting and more njoyable.

I really enjoy all of the main characters in this series. Looking forward to more adventures with the LSP!

Thank you to the author for a free copy of this. Book in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a joy to read from its dedication page to the special features note at the end. I laughed out loud at some of the characters’ comebacks, and I found myself thinking, “I know, it’s in the manual.”

After the Three Witches of Burberry, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Amira and Lex. So I was pleasantly surprised to get to read about them again! Amira was meant for the ghost-hunter job, and I love how she opens Lex’s mind about how to get the job done. I love the setting of the Georgia bed & breakfast. The author made it seem so real.

Even though I’m ready to move on to the next Walker sister, I hope we get to hear about Amira and Lex's romantic progress in the background. I can’t wait, Ms. Waller! Thank you!!

I enjoyed this book. This is the first book by this author I have listened to but I enjoyed it. It is a stand alone book but a few times I felt I had missed something not having heard the first book, so I might just have to go back to the beginning to find out about there first case. Otherwise I enjoyed it and liked the cast of characters who were quirky and colourful. I liked the combination of the paranormal and mystery and thought it worked well with the plot. I think the book sets up the series to follow a different sister with each book which will be good, as you will get to see how each character and there relationships develops and grows. Will be looking out for the next book.
Amira and Lex have been given an assignment. To investigate a haunting at a B&B run by famous ghost Hunter Samuel Chase. They only have the weekend to to catcher the ghost and send her in to the other side before irreversible damage is done. Lex which wants to protect Amira and doesn't know how to express his feeling to her so just comes a cross cold. Amira has other ideas about how the investigation should be run and sets about proving herself more than capable of handling her own assignments and if she can turn Lex's head in the process all the better. The ghost seems to be a teenage girl with a connection to the owner but is she doing more than just haunting the occupants is she trying to hurt them? Amira wants to learn more about the girl in order to help the girl before setting her free but Lex should wants the ghost gone so he and Amria can get back to safety. Can they work to together to find piece for the restless spirit?
I liked the narrator, I have heard several books read by her and enjoyed every signal one, she has a distinct voice that she puts to job use to give the characters there own voices

Being grounded is no joke

Not quite as good as the first book. Possibly because the plot really need a bit more work. However the characters are getting better with each subsequent book. More focused and vivid.
Her first assignment with LSP is to chase down a ghost. Lex however is feeling very protective and has asked for his young protégé to accompany them. She soon puts paid to that! Although everyone seems to think that the ghost is Simon's mother, she actually spots a young girl. Who is she? Is she being forced to act by the person holding the item that tethers her to this realm? As they investigate they unearth bad feeling, jealously and spite between the parties at the house. When his protégé and her sister turn up it is to put more pressure on the one holding the item. Now after two attacks, they come up with their own plan. Will it work? Will they be able to help the ghost move on?

So good!!!

Walker women don’t like being told what to do - so, Lex, let that be clear from the start! You can think you have a plan, but if Amira has a different plan, well, guess!

The story: ah-ma-zinggg!!! The story starts with a new assignment for Amira and Lex, but first they have to get used to each other and Amira has to get used to the idea of being employed by the LSP. And then they encounter a ghost. What follows is an entertaining and compelling story!

The narration: the narrator (a different one than book 1, BTW) has a pleasant voice. The voice really supported and lifted the story. She did an amazing job, I especially loved Tippy’s voice! And she did Cookie’s voice really well too. She did all of the voices really well. Lots of variation, especially with the female voices, while still being understandable. And that is hard to do, but she really pulled it off!

As Amira and Lex’s working relationship starts so does their romantic one and it’s fun to watch them try to work things out as they take on their 1st working assignment as an official team. They are a good balance for each other and add Jordie and Ris into the mix for some added fun. Loved the idea that Samual Chase, ghost chaser from the 1st book, is now running a b&b that is actually haunted so the ghosts are chasing him this time. I was definitely kept guessing and enjoyed trying to figure out who controlled the ghost or ghosts. How many are there! Great mix of characters. Such a fun book. Interesting ending has me itching to start the next book.

This book is even better than book one, you won’t regret the time spent on getting to know everyone in the group. The middle kind of sluggish but didn’t take long to pick up and you didn’t wan to put it down.
Reading this after book one helps you to know the characters and their pasts. But if you don’t hav access to book one don’t overlook reading this. The author added just enough “reminders” that a newbie to this series wouldn’t be lost and us already into the series wouldn’t be bored.
And yes I can remember to my preteen advanced reading friends. No language or sexual references.
Just a veryood book.

This was my first K.M. Waller's book. This is the second book in the Lost Souls ParaAgency, a romantic ghostly paranormal mystery. You can listen to this story as a standalone, but I believe it is better to listen to the first book before for a better understanding. Amira and Lex are great characters. I loved to follow them in this adventure. The cast of supporting characters is great. The storyline is fun, intriguing, entertaining, and filled with mystery, and twists and turns. Carrie Coello did a great job with the narration. #AudiobookUnleashed

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is the second book in the Lost Souls Paragency series. More or less, I would say this is a standalone book = although the epilogue creates a bit of a set up for the next book in the series. I have not read the first book in the series and I think it might have helped as I felt like I was missing a bit here and there related to the characters. Overall, it was cute.

The narrator, Carrie Coello, is someone who I have listened to before. She is always enjoyable.

Lex and Amira have to go help the infamous ghost hunter. They are not a fan of his, and this is Amira's first case. I love that she wants to use her brains and not rely on magic to get answers.

I was able to figure out the responsible party. But I think it was because I had the feeling I had read this before. It felt very familiar, and must have been before I knew to write reviews.

Easily a standalone. Great fun read. Pay attention to the rhymes at the beginning.

This my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.

This is the second book in this series that I have read and it did not disappoint. What a great reading experience. Love the characters with all their flaws and idiosyncrasy’s. The plot was so much fun it kept me guessing what was going to happen next. Cannot wait to read more about the Walker sisters and their three very strange witchy aunts.

Amira and Lex try to find their way to partnership and romance

They get their first assignment as new partners while She tries to come to terms with what magic she has. What do they do when they have such different ideas about how to handle an assignment. Can they work it out together or? Sit back in your chair open your book and enjoy.

Excellent read!

Amira and Lex are partners for a supernatural agency, LSP. They also share a mutual attraction outside of work, but neither is sure exactly how to proceed. Maybe they will be able to connect personally once the ghost from their very first official assignment has moved on. Lots of action, well written, and wonderful characters make this a must read!

I swear that K. M. Waller can tell a good story. This book had me guessing who the protagonist was. Going between the 2 suspect characters throughout the book was exciting. What was even more exciting was the growing dynamics between Lex and Amira.

In my opinion, it would be best to read the series in order.

A good mystery.

This is the first book I've read in this series. I like the quirky characters and the mystery. The plot needs a little more to it. Amira and Lex get romantically closer to each other.

an easy to follow story

I havnt read the first book, but found this one easy to pick up and follow on from with the characters.
The story isn’t demanding of emotions, it’s a quick read, Almost superfluous.

This book was better than the first one. Amira and Lex are sent on their first assignment. Amira wants to be an equal partner in the team and Lex just wants to protect her.

I almost stopped listening to it in the beginning. I just couldn't get into the story. Once they went to the house to find the ghost, it got better. It wasn't a bad story.

Super slow burn, light romance. A good mystery that is resolved by the end of the book. Amira and Lex join forces together for her first assignment as an LSPA agent. They set out to debunk a ghostly haunting but find more than they gather at the home of a former reality-TV star.

Amira and Lex are the new paranormal fighting duo....Lex totally reluctantly as he would prefer to just spend romantic time with Amira and Amira? snap! so would she, to spend romantic time with him, but as this was her first assignment as an agent of the LSP, she was also determined to make a success of it. And her first assignment was to investigate a ghostly haunting of Simon Chase's newly opened B & B. Although everyone was convinced that it was the ghost of his recently deceased mother, Amira was sure she saw a young teenaged girl ghost at the window and is determined to find out how she is connected to the house and haunting.

I really enjoyed the 2nd LSP book; I was not prepared to let Amira and Lex slip away after book 1 and I am really please that we are still seeing them here. Fun story, well written, cannot wait for the next book. I received and ARC and this is my honest opinion
