When the Horrid Witch is defeated, the Delaroe siblings think everything will go back to the way it used to be. They couldn’t be more wrong.

Hallie Delaroe would much rather curl up with a good book than go on dangerous adventures. And romance? No, thank you. So she’s less than thrilled when she starts hearing the voice of Sayune, a mysterious fae, begging for her help escaping from the Horrid Witch’s prison. With her long-latent magic powers awakening, Hallie is the only one who can see or hear Sayune — but can she trust him?

“Some things are kept in prisons for a reason…”

Seven sisters. Seven stories. Seven adventures.
Hallie is a bookworm, a dreamer who wants nothing from the reality and everything from the stories she reads. However, she has no choice but change this after the curse of the Horrid Witch pulled her into a strange world, and she made contact with Sayune. The voice in her head does not disappear after her return among the living; however, she can only hear him touching water. When the Trader kidnaps her from her home, desperate to claim Sayune's physical body, Hallie's life gets a new dimension - and is entered by magic as well.
Great adventure, heart-consuming story, brilliant characters. I enjoyed every page of this novella, although I finished it way too soon. Nevertheless, it spoke directly to my heart, letting the emotions flow freely every way. Hallie is sort of a perfect character, even with her small flaws, but her goodness, innocence, and strong will make her an adorable heroine. Combined with Sayune's never-ending talks, magical nature, and desperation to survive, they make an interesting couple, and watching their lives becoming intertwined was a true experience. I loved all aspects of this story, whether it was the storytelling, the dialogues, the world descriptions, the magic, or the developing romance. I am already waiting for another story, starring another of the seven sisters. Beautiful read.

I love this book!! There’s magic, adventure, romance and just such wonderful world building that I was swept away. I really enjoyed reading Horrid, the first book in the series, and I think this one is even better! Each book continues the story of the Delaroe sisters and the secrets they discover in the world around them. Sometimes quiet literally and not always willingly. Hallie’s story is full of humor, romance and heartwarming moments. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to read young adult fairy-tale retellings.

Harbor is the second story in the Seven Sisters of Silverleaf series.

I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I absolutely loved this book even more than the first one! At first, I thought this story and the first one would be better off as stand-alones instead of a series about sisters. They two books are vastly different and not just because it’s two different sisters with two wildly different personalities, but because this second book just had so much MORE. More magic, more myths, more adventure, more mystery. But as I got to the end, the bond between the sisters was evident again and made me realize that I love it as a series and I can’t wait to see what adventures the other sisters bring. Once again, a very easy read. Still predictable like the first book, but enjoyable, more so than the first.

Awesome read. Well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. There are elements of magic, romance, humour and adventure. The world building is fantastic. I loved Horrid, the first book in the series, and I think this one is better yet! Each book continues the story of the Delaroe sisters and the secrets they discover in the world around them. This is Hallie's story and she just wants to go back to her safe world after being saved from the Horrid Witch. Instead she gets the opposite of what she wants halfway around the world to boot. I can't wait to read the next Delaroe sisters book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Another Fantasy Masterpiece!

L.C. Ireland has done it again. Harbor is the second in the series, following Horrid. The book is a gorgeous new fairy tale. It's classic storytelling for the modern reader. New creatures, twists on existing creatures, pirates... Absolutely fabulous!

The Delaroe siblings think that because the Horrid witch is defeated everything will be fine. Unfortunately things won’t be that easy. Loved it and ready for more by this wonderful author.

I very much enjoyed the first of this series in Horrid, and this one was just as good if not even better in my opinion.

The characters are fantastic, lovable, and so very relatable. I found myself loving Hallie, and seeing in her bits of my own personality. The story-line was so unpredictable---I was certainly kept on my toes, and couldn't put the book down! Love, love, love! Can't wait for the third!
