Kilts and Scotsmen What's Not to Like!

A tale about a separated couple that comes back together! I love marriage in peril books, only if there is no cheating, and there wasnt, but this one made me angry. It was six long years they wasted apart and then she has the nerve to come back to ask for a divorce so she can marry another guy! I didn't think I was going to like it and I actually stopped reading this at one point. Weeks later I picked it up and finished it, and even liked it. I didn't love it because of one particular problem; the heroine. She was an idiot. She just kept doing stupid things which could be misconstrued and were downright dumb! I felt sorry for the hero at times. They both were responsible for the death of their marriage. Yes it was hastened by Fenella's lies but they should have communicated more, and he should have quit drinking. But there is a mystery in there and I want to know what happens to McKenna and her French toad! There is something there for sure.

I'm embarrassed that, despite the title, I didn't realize until I was 25% through the book that it was a re-imagining of Sweet Home Alabama, a movie that happens to be one of my biggest guilty pleasure/comfort movies of all time. I've seen it at least 10 times over the last 15 years, and so it was fun to see some of it transported to 19th century Scotland, but it also made it even more predictable than your usual HR.

Overall, I thought Sweet Home Highlander was rather fun with some decent banter and decent side characters, but it suffered from some of my least favorite things in HR, such as - some spoilers here, mind you - miscommunication prolonging the ending, a grand gesture in front of everyone (I really hate that, I don't know why) and life-threatening drama that inevitably results in a wounded MC and a fevered realization that hey, they actually do love this person they've tried to convince themselves they're not in love with. Ugh.

But, you know, it was fun and it hasn't deterred me from my current plan of reading the rest of Howard and Morgan's historical romances during the holidays.

Sweet Home Highlander was a very enjoyable read and a great start to the Tartans and Titans series, a spin-off of the Lords of Essex series.

Lady Aisla Montgomery is happy with the life she’s made for herself in Paris, so long as her husband, Niall Stuart Maclaren, remains in Scotland. However, after six years she must travel to Scotland to seek a divorce, meaning she will be forced to face the life and man she fled. Niall is shocked to find Aisla has returned and even more so when she asks for a divorce. Niall agrees to give her what she wants, but first he wants one week for every year she was gone.

Aisla grew from a woman unsure of herself into one who knows exactly what she wants and how to go about getting it. Aisla no longer allows anyone to push her around or try and talk her into doing something she doesn’t want to do. I admired her willingness to do anything to help a friend in need even if I felt she held onto her promise longer than necessary when it became clear she shouldn’t keep it.

Niall is the most changed character from who he was six years ago when he drank too much and never put forth any effort to do anything with his life. After giving up drinking, he bought a parcel of land and with the mines on the property, he is making something of himself when so many thought he wouldn’t amount to anything. I enjoyed the inventions he created to help make up for his injury and liked the clever side of himself that so many never got to see.

Aisla and Niall’s relationship perfectly combined two of my favorite romance tropes, hate to love and second chance romance. In their youth, Aisla and Niall were caught up in their whirlwind romance which likely led to them marrying too early in life. Aisla didn’t know yet how to stand up for herself and Niall wasn’t sure how to break free of the limitations his clan placed on him. Also at that time the two didn’t communicate well which led to a number of issues between them. After six years apart, I feel like Aisla and Niall were perfect for each other as the more mature versions of themselves. Plus, they have great chemistry, fantastic banter, and the sexual tension was off the charts.

Throughout the story several characters from the authors’ previous series are mentioned with a few of them showing up here and there. It was nice hearing about some of the previous characters and getting a glimpse of their lives although reading the other series is not necessary for reading this one.

Sweet Home Highlander was a ton of fun to read and I’m looking forward to future books from this author duo as they’ve yet to disappoint.

Niall Mclaren love of his life is in Paris , pushed their , by no one other than him. Well not the Niall of now, but the Niall of six years ago drank too much, thought to little of himself and allowed jealousy to rule; so in a drunken state he sent Aisla away. They young passionate couple they where deystroyed by an inability to talk to each other, communicate their feelings and cope with interfering people at Mclaren keep, people seeking to destroy them.
Niall's brother Ronan takes him in hand and sobers him up and Niall spends the next six years becoming a better man, a wonderfull laird to a keep given to him by his sister Sorcha from her dowry.
Niall has done just that but he still is missing what he wants the most his estranged wife Aisla Montgomery Mclaren and his current mood is not being helped by his freinds and family who keep pushing him to go get her,but he has tried that before ; and only returned home to Scotland more broken hearted.
So Niall is floored when Aisla returns to Mclaren keep , but with an escort , a handsome escort Julian Leclerc. Niall may not be the young drunken man he was but controlling jealousy and old mistrust are harder to get past however the immediate longing and passion both feel for each other on sight is unmistakable; perhaps this is a second chance at making their marriage work.
However , Aisla's return is not for that but to secure a divorce, but to get one it will have to be on Nial's terms. Love as his wife for six weeks. One for each year separated , the bet makes for n intresting story line , then add to that old foes seeking to wreak additional havoc mKes for a too sh turvey reunion ,with sexy times , true moments of clarity , of love that is unfortunately always in danger of collapse between to stubborn people both carrying baggage .
It may take some time but a HEA is in the readers future .

If you prefer more relationship angst than romance, well, you’ll feel right at home in Sweet Home Highlander. Just be prepared to keep company with one huge mountain of muscle, knucklehead hero who will test your patience time and time again. Why? Well, he is quick to point the finger and blame at the heroine instead of himself, along with his fury and hurtful accusations. It takes this unforgiving hothead pretty much until the bitter end to realize he was the main reason things ended so badly between them six years ago.

Niall was his own worst enemy back then and through most of this book. To make a wager that is sure to hurt and humiliate Aisla, the heroine, had me seething with anger and resentment. For her to come up with her own kind of crazy that lowers herself to his level and ultimately likely to backfire was just as frustrating. Niall pushing her away and not fighting for love on at least three separate occasions speaks for itself.

Therefore, in that regard, I guess you could say they were perfect for each other. Either way, their hearts remained broken and neither one walked away feeling like the victor. That was what wrecked me, folks, seeing them carry around so much hurt and wishing things were different but not trusting one another to make it happen. Sadly, Niall was still too quick to listen to lies a subcharacter, who wanted them apart, spewed in order to manipulate him.

After some life-threatening, nail biting drama, you would think the blinders would finally be off. But, no, miscommunications and jumping to assumptions still got in the way. Fortunately, one of them swallows their pride and summons the courage to do what needs to be done.

With writing that flowed, I did keep reading to see how this toxic relationship would play out. Despite my frustration, I clung to the hope a groveling hero would finally surface and heal their relationship woes. Once I got some insight into their young, hasty marriage six years earlier, it was clear Niall’s doubts, insecurities, and immaturity kept him from being the man he needed to be. The author certainly did put my heart through the wringer, as I watched this couple finally find forgiveness and move on with a love they profess never completely died. At least they both were celibate during their long separation.

How often do we get a second chance at love? For Alisa and Niall, it could happen. Married young and then separated for six years (why you ask? will have to find out!) Aisla has been living in Paris and decided she wants to remarry, but has one problem. She must divorce her husband first. Returning to Scotland to confront Niall, she finds he is not as willing as she thought. The only way he will grant her the divorce is that she live with him as a wife for six weeks and then he will give her the freedom she is asking. That seems simple but there is so much more to this story. Mystery, humor and of course strong emotions that come to the surface as someone tries to harm Niall and his family. Will they be able to reconcile and love each other? A wonderful story not to be missed and cannot wait for more in this series!

Sweet Home Highlander by Amalie Howard and Angie Morgan
Tartans and Titans #1

Historical romance set in Scotland with a second chance at romance theme for Niall and Aisla proved to me that what is usually wrong with a relationship in the beginning is often a problem later on or should the two get back together again.

Both hero and heroine seemed a bit lame brained at times and had me scratching my head thinking they must be daft or not have thought things through before saying or doing what they said or did. I wondered about their getting together the first time even though I kind of remembered older brother Ronan confronting Niall over his drinking…wanted a few more details about the beginning and that might have helped me understand why they were still so in love with one another even if unwilling to communicate with one another.

The two did get their happily ever after eventually. Evil was thwarted. There is an intriguing side story that has me wondering if Julien and Makenna might end up together or at least find their own HEA together or with someone else. And I also wonder if Ronan will eventually find a bride.

I enjoyed the story but wished that Niall and Aislin had communicated more openly and thus avoided the angst and drama they seemed to have to deal with. I have told friends that to make a marriage work there needs to be communication, commitment and trust…these two had a problem with these throughout the book…I do hope they get things right after the book ends.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing – Amara for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Very enjoyable story of Niall Stuart Maclaren, Laird of Tarbendale and Lady Aisla Montgomery, his estranged wife. Many mistakes and misunderstandings happened when Niall and Aisla were first married and it led to Aisla leaving and going to Paris to live. Niall has turned himself around and is finally prospering when Aisla returns asking for a divorce. Couldn't help feeling bad for these two and what they have been through, and once you realize how much they still love each other, you can't help but root for them to reconcile. Wonderful characters, unique storyline and well written.

Although I am not a huge fan of historical, I am finding that this author posesses the ability to draw me in. I liked how the main couple was forced into each other's company and had to discover and admit their shortcomings in their failing marriage. Through this

I tried to push myself but my patience wore off by 5th chapter.

They both seemed so petty especially Niall like you said you won't want her back and yet you wanted to make her pay for leaving you when you were the one to "suggest" she go back.
He also could see how his people didn't like her because he was to wed some other chit from his clan but instead of supporting her he ignored it and drank for god knows what reason. He seemed like the guy who ignored their wife after getting them pregnant instead of helping them out.
He also assumed she didn't want the baby when he clearly ignored her and drank all the time so how did he conclude that and the irritating part was instead clearing misunderstandings by atleast listening to each other they just made assumptions .

The cruel part here is the heroine came here to get a divorce to marry some other guy but she wants to play in his stupid game instead of calling out his wager with his brother and leave ,its stupid . We all know somehow they will end up together but what about the man you brought from paris you want to marry.

This isn't my first book where the spouse is estranged but this seems like a stupid game of lust and not love .
Till now I have not read a thing about why they fell in love or what was endearing about each other all I read was how lustful the other was which somehow sums you to fall in love. I don't care how lovely their new second chance will be because I kind of have no respect for the characters to even see them develope or if they will even develope

This was not a “happy” sort of story. The antagonism, and mistrust between Aisla and Niall is prevalent throughout the story until the end when all is finally resolved.

I actually liked both their characters. Aisla’s leaving him is a waking up call to Niall who then buckles down and finally mans up. He learns responsibility and turns his efforts to improving the lives & livelihood of his people and finds that he has talents that he never realized before – a skilled craftsman and inventor. But he is constantly driven and is not happy.

I have to admit my sympathies were with Aisla over their failed marriage. I did feel that the details behind their marriage was not fully explained – why Niall turned to drink and his seemingly abandonment of his young, lonely wife when they were supposedly so in love.

I adore resurrected marriage stories and this one goes to the top of my list. Lady Aisla Montgomery has lived the last six years the toast of Paris while her husband, she assumes, continues to drink and wench at his castle in Scotland. She married for love the first time. Perhaps marrying for friendship would work better the second time. But first, she must return to Scotland and ask her husband for a divorce. Little does she know, Niall Maclaren has cleaned up his act, but he is bitter and determined to get a bit of his own back. He’ll agree to the divorce if she spends six weeks as his wife without succumbing to his charms. He probably should have thought that one through better. Ha! I loved this book and I adored Aisla and Niall. I especially loved Aisla’s French suitor, Julien. I expect loads of great stories to come from the Howard and Morgan writing team!

I always read romance novels in bouts. And by "bouts", I mean both that I read a bunch of them in a row and that I tend to not put them done until the end. Which invariably means I fuck up my sleep schedule, seeing how slow of a reader I am. One never learns...

Usually, what causes the end of said bout is either a couple unfortunate reads in a row, tiring me of the genre for a while, or a good book that reaches it's mid-story climax and then sadly flounders its way to an underwhelming ending, after that.
In that latter case, what a sheer deception and frustration at something that was so promising but still ruined it all, in the last third or so of the plot. This book came very close to that.

Fortunately, by the time this disappointing flub happens, I was sufficiently fond of both the cast and the story that I made it through.

It's a second chance story, and a sweet one.
The two characters first got together in a sort of precipitated and clumsy mess, way too young, not knowing enough about themselves to make a relationship work. Add to this mix a couple of unfortunate external events, and their couple crumbles, despite their shared love. We watch them as they have a chance to reunite, years later, having had time to grow into the adults they wanted to be, and now able to look back and learn from their past.

One of the key themes of the book, is that love is not enough: it is a necessary starting point, but then you have to work and fight for it. Both characters come to realize that their younger selves did not do a good job in that department: they did not communicate well, they did not trust each other enough, etc... all of that due to insecurities of their own, which is pretty expected from people as young as they were.

I was satisfied with their evolution and the introspection chapters they each go through, showing personal growth and how this, in turn, changes their relationship. It was well integrated and did not slow the natural pace of the story. It came organically and was satisfying to read.

Regarding what happened in the past: as a bunch of other reviewers mentioned, there were a few points of confusion about what exactly happened to them, the first time.
Part of it is just that the situation is not explained at once, at the beginning, but gradually through the present story... and the reader just needs to be patient!

I actually liked that their story is unveiled bits by bits, every new chapter painting an increasingly clear picture of what happened, because it mirrors the protagonists' journey.
After the implosion of their marriage, amidst confusing feeling, they both tried to close that door and leave the hurt behind. Their reunion is the first occasion they get to actually look back at their past relationship, from their new, adult vantage points. So it's only natural that it takes some time for them to work out a what exactly happened, piece it together until they can understand why it happened, and how it could all be different, now.

That being said there are a couple of mistakes made and contradicting lines in this novel, mainly timeline-wise. And while we're on the subject, the hero's missing hand apparently comes back at times too, as a special guest for that scene. I think it happens only twice if I remember correctly. This made me think, by associations, that the slight blundered (or seemingly so) timeline might have been an proofreading/editing problem.

So all is well, and they satisfyingly reach a point where they fall into each others' arms again.
But then, the traditional last minute separation-reunion snafu ensues... And it all hangs on the sheer incapacity of the cast to have a simple, clear conversation. Look, I understand that this story structure is almost viewed as compulsory in romance novels, but I'd rather not have any last minute suspense, than have it made of cheap/weak plot devices. Plus in this case, it is especially counterproductive because the characters are supposed to have learned how to better trust and communicate. That is the whole point! But then, they proceed to actually NOT do any of that for a couple more chapters, before they finally put it all back together. It's very anticlimactic and frustrating and I wish they had scrapped that. They could still have had the resolution of the mysterious sabotages and the last action scenes without the bogus "last minute break-up" trope.

Ah well, the book was still very much enjoyable!
I should also mention that I picked up this book because of one of the authors (Amalie Howard). I had read the Beast of Beswick from her, and though I did skim a bit fast through that one, I remember liking both her elegant writing and historically accurate depictions. I am no historian, so maybe some details are still misconstrued, but if you are no expert past the occasional Jane Austen novel and BBC series, then this will efficiently transport you back to the high society of early 19th century's UK.

Favorite quote:
"She thought of herself and Niall, and their shared tragedy. They had loved each other, but sometimes, it took more than love. It took grit and determination. It took fight."
-> queue potential go-get-him badass moment (instead, turned out to be a bit of a damp squib, though :/ Ah well)

Received in exchange for a honest review.

What I like most about this book is how Aisla isn’t what you expect for the time this takes place in. She is strong, independent, smart, feisty and mischievous. You can see that her heart is still hurting from her past with Niall but she is also frustrated at what is happening as well. She guards herself well and is very wary of Niall and really doesn’t believe he has changed. I love the deviousness of Niall’s mom.

Niall long ago had his heart broken. He has come to terms with his part in Aisla walking away and has changed since than.He works hard and is there for the people of his laird. He doesn’t want handouts nor does he want sympathy. He just wants to work his land and mine and help his people. Only a wrinkle comes into his world and throws him off kilter.

Aisla must go back to face Niall and asks for him to let her go. This is where the fun begins. We can see the chemistry between these two ignite and spark the pages from the minute Aisla steps on his land but we also see the underlying anger and tension. Niall is angry she is back and why. Aisla is angry she has to be there and for his conditions to being set free. So she intends to make him miserable and win especially after what she overheard. What follows is some snarky banter, tension that sparks the pages, devious ways that have you smile at the antics between these two and a love that is being denied. Niall has changed so much since Aisla left but she doesn’t want to see it for she is afraid. She doesn’t want to feel hurt again. As she begins to see everything around her and learns about him and how he is with his people, her heart softens. But there is a mystery going on as well. someone is sabotaging Niall’s mines. And it is getting more dangerous with each mishap. While Niall is dealing with this he is also dealing with his wife’s antics to get him to secede and her win the bet on who succumbs to seduction first. Only Niall is just as devious and finds this side of Aisla invigorating and seductive.

Watching these two battle their attraction while relearning who each other is is fun and seductive. Seeing Niall do what those in love do so others can be happy is heartwarming and heartbreaking. The story is one full of fun times, devious moments, snarky banter but also so much entertainment in the banter and love. We see family that is close and help one another while also protecting those around them. a mystery that keeps you intrigued and a romance that entrances you to the end with characters you love and villains you want to see get their just due.

I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would. Honestly, I thought the title sounded a bit cheesy, so I was kind of expecting something a bit unpolished and super cliche. But this was actually a really lovely second-chance romance.

Niall and Aisla met as teens and eloped at 18. Unfortunately, their young bliss faded when they returned to Niall's home, and he acted like a typical jerky young buck. Going out drinking and fighting with his friends all the time and leaving Aisla alone when she knew no one in the clan. Eventually, things go from bad to worse, and after a fight, Niall tells her to go home, but Aisla flees to France to live with her aunt instead.

The book opens six years after Aisla left, and her best friend in France asks her to marry him because his mother is dying. Aisla admits that she can't because she's still married, so the two of them travel to Scotland to try and procure a divorce from Niall.

I think the drama in here was really well done. Of course, there are a few little cliche highland troupes, like the warring clan...and there's always a big brother who refuses to wed for some reason. But everything is handled in a way that works, and I just really liked following along with the MCs story. Niall definitely has a lot of character growth and while he does sometimes tread that line of becoming almost too perfect, he held on to just enough to some old flaws to seem realistic.

What I really appreciated about it is that the story doesn't revolve around a silly misunderstanding that basic communication could have solved, like so many of these separated MC second-chance romances do. Aisla and Niall had real problems, and they just weren't mature enough to fix them at the time. Niall especially needed time to grow, and he recognized the mistakes he had made. The separation actually made sense and was the catalyst for the MCs to become the people they wanted to be for each other.

Definitely a nice surprise, and I look forward to trying the next book.

Aisla and Niall married really young and because of alcoholism, living in a diferente house, strange people and loss tearing them apart and six years later Aisla wants to divorce him.

Aisla live in Paris where she met her BFF Julien and he wants a convenient marriage with her to make his mother happy because she is very ill. Aisla goes back to Scotland to divorce her wild husband. When she gets there she wasn't prepared to the change in him and in Tarbendale.

It's obvious that they love each othe but time and grief making them very sturborn to reconcilate.Yet Aisla wants to win her wager and she makes Niall suffers, but he is hurting in some other place too because he can't resist his beautiful wife and neither can she. Besides them, there others characters who adds to the story and moves the narrative. Like Julien and Makenna's pseudo flirting, Ronan escaping his mother's attempt to get marriage.

Niall is not rich as the youngest son but he is quite well in finances. Some attempts in his mines could be someone trying to get revenge. Always a little mysterious to put the story in track. I love the narrative, but the characters spent too much time in their heads. The details of the six weeks and if Niall and Aisla's talking would have helped.

Good story and a lovely end.

I went into this not knowing what to expect, other than I liked the first two of Amalie Howard's Taming of the Dukes series. I was in for a pleasant surprise.

I was leery of a male narrator reading female voices, but Paul Woodson doesn't pitch too high, so it wasn't annoying. Also, his Scottish accent wasn't so strong that I couldn't understand what he was saying, so again, another pleasant surprise.

The story was fun. Two people get a second chance once they've had time apart and matured. There's chemistry, tension, flirtation, emotional intimacy, and more. There's a wee bit of bad guy drama, but not so much that it drags the story down.

I plan to read the other two books in this series.

With all the bad things happening this year, it's no wonder so many of us are leaving the present and escaping into romance novels set in the past.

Sometines Niall needs to be shut up by the only way his woman knows how, “all this time, I thought…” Aisla kissed him, so he wouldn’t have to finish his sentence..." Niall loves to tease his lady, “what do ye expect looking the way ye do, lass? I’m only a man after all.” His voice had gone low and husky. “Dunnae fash, we’ll be doing a different kind of dancing later.” I liked this book, I loved Niall.

I was lucky enough to read an early version of Sweet Home Highlander. Howard and Morgan are off to a great start to a new series. Though slightly darker than the last book of theirs I read, I enjoyed every page of it. I adored Aisla and Niall and rooted for them the entire time. Looking forward to book 2 in Tartans and Titans.

Audible - This historical reminds me of the books I read as a teen. Niall and Aisle fell in love and married young. Neither were prepared for the heartbreak of a miscarriage. Drinking, fighting, tears, Aisla flees to France leaving bitter Niall behind. Now back for a divorce, miscommunication and old hurts, betrayal and sabotage, try to keep them apart. Slowly falling in lust to love, they get a sweet, sexy hea and the chance of a family.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

I loved it!

When I listened to this book I thought I’d never listened to Paul Woodson perform an audiobook before but I just searched my Audible library and discovered that he had done an Amy Lane book that I own and listened to. Let me tell you this – there’s a world of difference between his performance of that older book and this one. I can’t say enough good things about his performance of Sweet Home Highlander. OMG his voice and accents were just delicious!

The story is also really good and kept my attention to the point that I didn’t want to do anything else but listen to this. I wanted to knock some heads together because Lady Aisla and Niall were both so clueless as to what the other wanted.

The story also contained a nice mystery and a few other surprises along the way. I loved the secondary characters and can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.

Sweet Home Highlander by Amalie Howard and Angue Morgan is #1 in ",Tartans and Titans" new series Great beginning to what promises to be a great new series. Lady Aisla Montgomery and Niall Stuart Maclaren, the rugged Laird of Tarbendale's, story is entertaining, compelling and intriguing. Their witty banter, their bitter partakes, and their growing attraction makes them an enjoyable couple. I enjoyed the fact that Niall had a disability, which the authors did a wonderful job convening this fact to readers. It did not hold him back from life nor his circumstances. They also handled Aisla's reaction with care that left Niall's dignity intact. It was easy to forget about his disability, although, some people underestimated him due to his disability. He shows them how unwise that can be.
Steady paced, well written with exciting and engaging characters. The storyline was unpredictable, intriguing, adventurous, with danger, turmoil and finding a HEA.
I truly love Scottish Romance, Medieval romance, brawl highlanders, feisty lasses and unpredictable stories. These authors did a great job with this story, I thought. I look forward to reading more from these authors and reading the next adventure in this intriguing series.
I received a complimentary copy, however all opinions are my own.

I enjoyed reading this. though I wanted to knock the MC’s over the head a few times. A lack of communication is at the heart of this story. Niall is a bit annoying in his fire trigger jealousy and shunning of Aisla. He jumps to conclusions SO fast and doesn’t think things through. For instance, he knew Fenella lied and still thought Aisla saying her friend’s name and “love” directly afterward (while laid up with a head injury), negated what Aisla and Fenella’s confession had revealed- Julius was just a friend! Niall felt like so much work.
Aisla had her moments of not speaking up or clarifying, which compounded Niall’s assumptions.
I also felt there should have been more done with Fenella. She caused so much suffering and didn’t have to suffer any consequences.
Lastly, Niall pushed Aisla away, but she is the one who has to make the grand gesture? The references to the movie, Sweet Home Alabama, is fun, but making the book coincide with the big gesture in the movie made no sense in this story. Niall was responsible for a grovel and to fight for Aisla. Period.

P.S. I want to know the formula for determining the amount of time MC’s will be separated. Six years seems like a long time. It seemed like 3-4 would suffice. Is this another choice based on the movie? If so, I don’t care for stories piggy-backing on other works unless the choices make sense in the newer story.

Sweet Home Highlander by Amalie Howard; Angie Morgan is book One in the Tartans and Titans series. This is the story of Aisla Montgomery and Niall Stuart Maclaren.
Aisla and Niall were married but there was a misunderstanding that took them to start living separate lives away from each other. Now all these years later Aisla comes asking for a divorce and Niall will give it to her if she stays with him for a week for every year they were apart..which turns into 6 weeks. But they start to learn more about each other and what happened those years ago....can they turn away from each other after their time is up.
This was a really good story that touched on a disability that the hero had along with some witty banter!
