Billionaire playboy and bear shifter Benjamin is the oldest of the Johnson Clan. But definitely not the most responsible. He's all about the party, not yet ready to settle down and have cubs of his own. But when his sister's daughter, Harper, becomes his responsibility, suddenly family life doesn't seem so bad.
Lia dreams of being more than a private preschool teacher, but she sticks around for her favorite student; a little half-shifter named Harper. When Harper's world is turned upside down, Lia will do anything to protect the little cub. Only she realizes she doesn't need to protect Harper, she needs to protect herself. From Harper's uncle. The deliciously attractive Benjamin Johnson.
Lia gives her heart away to Benjamin, against her better judgement. Can this playboy bear shifter finally settle down?

I liked the very beginning and Lia but then she was all of a sudden in love with Benjamin. It was like BOOM!, one morning, there she is thirsty for him. lol More than a little... too much, for me.
Story was very stale... but readable and at times funny and Harper was at the center of it (*funny*).
But ending left me wanting for more... wanting more of their story and it really doesn't make sense, because I wasn't a big fan of this one. lol Maybe subconsciously I liked them more than I want to admit. XD
I may go and read book 2.... just to see if there will be a glimpse of this pair. Because this is a series of Johnson siblings, after all... they should pop up here and there, in next books. ha ha ha
It was very easy to be swept up into the dynamics of Benjamin right away. Take one billionaire, playboy bear shifter with a reputation, mix in a charming little niece then add a school teacher who is already half in love with Benjamin’s niece, Harper and you have a perfectly volatile situation to start off this series.
Benjamin has the reputation of a playboy, and he certainly dates enough women to bring truth to that statement – but, he’s not as bad as he might sound at first. Coming from a very powerful and very wealthy family, he knows that what the tabloids write often has nothing to do with the truth. He has no intention of settling down any time soon not because of his playboy image but because he’s been used, lied to, taken advantage of and has lost his trust in love or a fated mate. He knows how to play the game, and that’s all it’s been to him – a game. Until one little girl charged in and captured his heart bringing along her favorite teacher with her. Life just got complicated and maybe, he’s finally found exactly what he needs most… Lia at his side.
The sparks fly between Lia and Benjamin from the start. First in anger, then in sexual awareness on both sides, yet Lia has no intention of being used by this obvious playboy. Not going to happen. Benjamin has other ideas and shows her a far different side than the tabloids know about. Watching Lia slowly fall for Benjamin was a sweet delight. I had fun with this couple and I believe you would, too. Now I’m moving on to brother Abraham. Can’t wait to get started and back in the Johnson world.
If you’re in the mood for a fun, sexy and completely enjoyable story then check out Benjamin.

(Benjamin and Lia): Benjamin is the billionaire clan leader of the bears who is given temporary custody of his cub niece. Lia is his niece's human teacher. This has been yet another type of shifter romance. It doesn't have all of the elements I usually enjoy from shifter romances but it was good. There's no actual shifting in this book, though the author does speak about them doing it. There's no physical danger, no fighting, no growling, not even a real argument. Benjamin is the owner and one of the tenants of a shifter hotel called Shyft where the condos are decorated to the human and their animal beasts likings, which I thought was pretty cool. Though I miss the rugged element of living within nature instead of the city. There are some comedic moments with Lia's friend and even with Benjamin's niece. The romance is slow compared to normal shifter romances but I did enjoy it. But bad, not extremely exciting
This is a quick and enjoyable read that has drama and romance with emotional evoking moments. I love how Benjamin steps up for his family even though he feels that others are more qualified. I can not wait to see what is in store with the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Learning to trust isn't as easy as some might think. And realizing you have your mate and a family is better than anything you've ever known is the plot for this great shifter romance. And then there's a freebie thrown in for your pleasure were necessity becomes need becomes love of a mate. Both were fun stories to read and very naughty!
I love that this story is different and it surprised me at different turns in the story. Especially, Harper she is cute, smart and spunky for a preschool girl. I love the HEA between Benjamin and Lia. I cant wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds and I hope Celeste can get her act together
This was so disjointed. First it starts with Benjamin being interviewed, jumps to a preschool, jumps to entering his apartment and then ends abruptly. WTH!
In my opinion the blurb was better than the story and nearly as long
Excellent reading. I read the whole book in one sitting. The bonus book was good also. I have yet to read a book Terra Wolf has written that I haven't loved. They have all been a minimum of four stars.
I loved this story. A playboy bachelor, Benjamin, suddenly ends up as legal guardian of his niece, Harper. Lia is caring, nurturing and confident, most times. Harper is an extremely bright child, that has spent most of her life with nannies. This story is a wonderful fairy tale type story. I loved that both of the main characters made Harper a priority for the first time in her little life. She was so proud of her teacher and her new uncle and she was so wise beyond her years. This is a really great, feel-good book with a happily ever after that made me cry. I loved it. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This book was short on originally and the characters were shallow and lacking depth. I'm going to read the next in the series because I believe the improvement could be just around the corner. I'm an optimist.
These books were awesome! I am glad that an uncle could be so loving to a little girl! That takes a very special kind of man! But the love between these two people was inevitable! A great book!
Enjoyable stories, good character development an interesting story lines. Could use a little extra work in the editing Department as too many errors are distracting
I don't believe I've read this author before. I enjoy a good shifter story and this is one. It made me smile a couple of times. Plus Harper is a hoot. lol
Alpha or mate? Tough decision for Benjamin with what is going on around him. First in series story. Included is another first in a different series. Definitely enjoyed!
Enjoyable enough KU read. Has a second book at the end so main story finishes at 54%. Wasn’t keen on Benjamin at first with his womanising attitude. Why he would want to have sex with women who only wanted to brag they had been with a rich shifter I could not understand. Lia was okay, well protective of her students and sensible. But a typical virgin who was quick to believe she was not good enough rather than stand up for herself. Only looked him up in the tabloids after having sex with him. Harper the little girl was the star for me.
Could not finish, too many typos. Written in first person- which I hate. Wrong verb tenses- too many distractions for me to get past to be able to enjoy the story.
