Cara and Devin make quite a pair!
When Cara makes the decision to kill her abusive husband, before he can kill her, she doesn't realize he's already been marked by the mafia. The night that Devin (the mafia hitman) shows up, he discovers that someone has already killed his mark. Thinking on his feet, Devin kidnaps Cara and convinces her that she is now a person of interest to the mafia family. With no one to turn to and the fear of being caught, Cara willing accepts Devin's deal to finish off another hit as his partner. These two have anything but a normal relationship but somehow it works. And Devin is so much more than a hitman it's adorable!

I'm sorry, I have to admit that I have a soft spot for Devin! Yes I know he has been a Mafia Hit Man for most of his adult life and while that should be terrible, most probably deserved the hit... This book had humor and the story was refreshing and gave a different prospective from the other Hit Man books I have read. Devin goes on what he had hoped to be his last hit and entry into retirement only to find out Cara, the long abused wife of his hit has already taken him out. What happens as a result of that can only be viewed as the universe finally being in alignment with both their stars because their "partnership" turns out to be what both of them needed but just did not know it. I always say this in my reviews but I JUST LOVE all the Bad Boys Zoey Parker writes about no matter what they do for a living because in the end, they all have a heart of gold!

I have to admit that, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this intriguing, suspenseful book. This is about: a abused wife (Cara) who decided enough is enough and stabs her husband to death. A mafia hitman/assassin (Devin) comes to the house and discovers the deceased man whom he was suppose to kill on behalf of the associates and from here the problems begin for both Cara and Devin. What you will find in this book is: mafia, hitmen, assassins, law enforcement, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, action, murder, abduction, defiance, blackmail, conflict, betrayal, lies, deals, lust, passion, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a good well-written mafia romance with a HEA.

This was a captivating and exciting book, it was action packed and full of tension and angst.

An abused wife decides she can’t take any more and kills her husband, the same night a hitman comes to kill him for his mafia gambling debts! They end up tangled up in a web of deceit and intrigue, but also support each other through the trials and tribulations of dealing with the mafia and staying ahead of the police.

I really enjoyed this book, even if the title didn’t seem apt, the book was great.

Cara has been abused by her husband their entire marriage, that is until she killed him. Devin is a Mafia hitman who was sent to kill Cara's husband. When he shows up he discovers Cara has already done deed. Now he has to convince the people he works for that he carried out the hit himself, it's the only way to protect Cara. This was a well written story with well developed characters. The book has action, with plenty of twists and turns. A great read that kept my interest from beginning to end.

Cara has been in an abusive marriage for years, and when she is pushed to the limit, she takes matters into her own hands. Devin is a mafia hitman, and is assigned the task of getting rid of the same man Cara has just killed. Devin takes Cara with him, and has to convince the mafia that he did the hit. This story is intriguing and captivating, and I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.

Unusual circumstances bring them together. Cara and Devin are brought together by the murder of her husband. She kills him just when he is there to do the hit. Devin feels a need to protect her and their complicated relationship begins.

I have enjoyed many MC romances from this author. This is another great book.It has some interesting twists and a great relationship between Cara and Devin that really heats the pages.

I really wanted to love this book but I was left disappointed. The plot had so much potential but I felt like it was very rushed. I thought the connection between the characters could have been shown more, it was more of a physical connection than anything else. While I liked the characters, I didn't love them. This type of book is usually right up my alley, but I just couldn't get into it.

I’ve been reading another shortest trilogy series saga is called A Bad Boy Hitman mafia romance; Moretti Mafia Family; #1 Buying my wife, #2 Breaking my wife, and #3 Protecting my wife, by Zoey Parker. Again, I don’t really read a lot of erotic romance books, but, this was a great and interesting read. It has plenty of action thriller and dark twists, as well as romance and chemistry between Devin and Cara. As a result, what had really happened in the story? You can decide.

I just loved this story because it could have been so tragic but Zoey did it just right so you were rooting for the bad guys. Cara is an abused wife and Devin is a hit man and they meet over his target, the dead man. The things they go through are dangerous and sometimes crazy and it’s so entertaining you can’t put it down.
