As a modernization of Meditations, this is a worthy addition to the bookshelf of anyone interested in stoicism. The paperback version is hampered by thin paper which allows the text to bleed through from the back of the page, making reading less than perfect. The audiobook version is fantastic and highly recommended.

For me, this was all about the details. Shane Stott did such a good job of translating the work of Marcus Aurelius into something that is relevant and important for today's world. The book is beautifully produced with typography that highlights important text and artwork that highlights quotes that will stay with you. This is the perfect gift for someone that is interested in Stoicism.
